An enjoyable novel, quick to read and keeps you guessing. Definitely one to reread once you’ve got to the end. Will recommend.

I couldn't put this book down, totally absorbed in the storyline and the lives of the characters.
The outcome was so unexpected.
This is the first book that I have read by Sally Hepworth it will not be the last.

When Lucy’s mother-in-law dies suddenly, the family falls under suspicion but things aren’t as they seem.
About family relationships and how what we get compares to what we expect, I devoured this page-turner in a one sitting.
The characters are very believable and the story is told from the perspective of Lucy and her mother-in-law Diana and between past and present, which ratchets up the dramatic tension.
Recommended.
