As the mother of a teenage daughter who has dealt with many topics and situations that could have turned out much differently, I appreciated Sally's input and view. With the addition of social media and many other things, it is very tough to be a kid today. I don't remember my childhood being anywhere near this difficult, challenging, or questioning who I am, etc. Parents with daughters should read this book.

I love this book, as a mother of 3 daughters. Raising daughters is hard. There are so many hard situations that I don’t remember dealing with as a child of the 90s. Any good advice I can get I will definitely take! A must read for mothers with daughters! Thank you net galley for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

This is a positive, well written book highlighting concerns of mothers raising daughters in today's society. A society with conflicting messages that start early laying the groundwork for vulnerabilities in women's psyche. It is an encouraging book with many personal comments that highlight different points of view.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it to parents who are concerned about raising strong, confident, self protecting children. This book focuses primarily on girls but much of the information may apply to boys as well.
I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review.

This could be a tough read for alot of people for alot of different reasons. It is hard to imagine harm coming to your daughter. And there are alot of triggers in here. But also some good advice for those that seek it.
