Some interesting parts, but overall a little slow for me.
This book follows Eve in her quest to uncover the truth about her true mother. Along the way she discovers that she has been told a number of lies about her past. This story chips and changes around telling the story from different POV, thewritimg remined the same tough, I have read books like this before, Wonder being one, which I felt was much better at utilising differs styles to illustrate the differences in characters.
There is an interesting twist at the end of this book, which I did enjoy. Overall this book was an ok read, I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend, but wouldn’t discourage anyone from reading it either.
Thank you to Netgalley, Chris Curran, Harper impulse and Killer reads for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I finished this book in 24hrs (granted, it was a Saturday and we stayed in!). I thought this was going to be just another easy to guess thriller... it’s not. It kept me guessing and even though I was right with some, I got many wrong.
The title of the book is very fitting, as there really are lies upon lies to be unearthed from the last thirty years.
The story starts with thirtysomething Eve, who is married to Alex, (twenty years her senior.) secretly rushing to leave the house early in the morning, leaving her newborn baby and husband behind. Then we jump back to three months earlier when she is still heavily pregnant. One day she receives a text from a colleague while home preparing for the arrival of her baby, that sparks an interest to look into the identity of her birth mother. For Eve was adopted, which wasn’t a secret, but she doesn’t know who her biological parents were. She soon finds out that her adopted parents have possibly more information about her birth mother than they let on until now, so she confronts them. And this is when the web of lies starts to slowly unravel...
Eve starts digging and finds things that just seem to confuse her more and she is finding that she doesn’t know her adopted parents as well as she thought. She can’t stop looking for her birth mother, Stella Carr who died tragically when Eve was only a few months old. She gets in touch with people from her past in the hope of finding out what happened to her, what was she like, and who her father could be?
The chapters include multiple POVs and timelines - mainly Eve and a few of Ben in the present and Stella in the past, all written in third person. It could be confusing but somehow the author works it well and it’s not. The characters are all well formed and the story is very fast paced and well thought out with all these lies. So many people hiding lots of things. The only thing is, that the ending was a bit rushed for me!
It’s definitely a good story that I would recommend, not sure if it will stay with me for a long time but it is definitely an enjoyable weekend/ holiday read!

Thank you for NetGalley, the publishers and the author for my free advanced copy!

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, though it took me a little while to get into it. The story is well plotted and the characters engaging. Recommended!

I find myself a little torn on this one. It gripped me enough to finish it in a single night. The story was layered with enough mysteries to keep me turning pages. But near the end, it took a sharp turn and the promised 'twist' just made the whole thing a little too implausible for me to continue suspending disbelief. I simply didn't believe that particular character would have behaved that way for so long. My other niggle is that the 'villain' of the piece was easy to guess right from the start, so I found the denouement simultaneously unbelievable and unsurprising. Still, it was a quick entertaining read and I don't begrudge the time I spent on it.

this author never disappoints she just gets better with each book what a story the story is about eve and it is brilliant she is adopted but one email turns her world upside down twists greed lies this book has it all I figured it out halfway and quite sad in places tissues needed what one woman will do to have a child so cant wait for authors next book brilliant read

Eve's parents kept her adoption from her for her whole life. Now, all of their lies start coming out and Eve has to find out what they are.

I enjoyed how this book gave differing perspectives of Stella and Eve. This gave me a glimpse of where the authors were going with each character. I felt like the story was steady, but started off pretty slow. When it started getting near the end and the lies were being exposed I felt myself turning the pages quickly to find out what happened.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and it's premise!

Thank you netgally for the read for an honest review.

Stella found out through e-mail that there is a woman out there who looks just like her and is an artist. From this information Stella assumes she is adopted and confronts her adopted parents who agree with this story. They try to keep her from looking into her birth mother but she does anyway. Throughout the story I almost stopped reading multiple times. While the author writes well the story was boring and hard to finish. I kept reading hoping for a plot twist or something new but was sadly disappointed.

Thank you to Netgalley ARC in exchange for a fair review.

One email is all it takes to turn Eve’s world upside down. It contains a picture of her true birth mother, Stella, and proves that Eve’s entire life with her adoptive parents has been a lie.

Just when you think you've figured out all the plot twists, another one smacks you in the face. This was an enjoyable read.

Unfortunately, this was not a page turner for me. I DNF the book. I did not finish it because it was painful getting through the 60% that I was able to read. The way it was written caused me confusion-it alternated between narrators and that made it hard to get through.
I don't normally like to leave bad reviews but this one just was not a book I could recommend.

Overall I enjoyed All The Little Lies, plot moves along at perfect pace, just enough hints to keep you guessing. My only complaint would be Eve and Stella speaking and acting the same, a working class North-East girl would be very different personality wise than a middle class Southern girl.

“All of the Little Lies” by Chris Curran was an entertaining read and a well written book allowing you to capture snapshots into the lives of a community of friends and the lengths people are willing to go to protect the truth.
If you can just imagine that everything you have ever been told about who you are is a lie, and suddenly you are emailed an artistic imagine that looks identical to you. Could this be the mother you never knew? The book features the bouncing around of character individually giving their side of the story until you begin to unravel all of the lies about Eve and her birth mother Stella. The reader is taken on a journey of one woman’s origins and the many lies and decisions that were made to protect her. However, was she really being protected? The reader becomes an observer of the selfishness of her family and friends to protect their own lies instead of the person they are to care about most.
As I started the book, it sounded like a mystery and thriller with leaps, twists, and turns. However, the book was a piece of literature with mysterious elements and suspense to find out Eve’s truth about who she really is, her origins and what she will pass on as a mother herself. The novel was real, believable, and could be happening in the lives of the family living next door. The old saying that everyone has skeletons in the closet ring loudly for the well-developed characters in ‘All the Little Lies.’

Lies, lies and more lies. Eve knew that she was adopted but it seems that there is not much information about her biological mother. She started to discover the truth and it is not too good. Some surprising twists made me to really enjoy this book.

Who is telling the truth, who is lying? Can Eve trust anyone. Her adoptive parents haven't told her the whole truth. This book is told from different characters point of view and goes back and forward in time and in the past I have given up on a couple of books that did this as I have found them confusing but this author has made the characters distinctive and the plot easy to follow. It kept me engrossed from beginning to end.

All The Little Lies by Chris Curran was a book that I did not want to put down, it was so good! So many lies and twists in the dark story that I absolutely loved. I thought I had this one all worked out but I was so wrong - and I loved it. It was far from predictable and keeps you guessing until the very end. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers you need to read this one - you will not be sorry.

Eve has always known that she was adopted. But when a friend sends her an email with a link to a story about her birth mother with a photo her life is turned upside down. Her adoptive parents knew more than they let on. She mother was an artist called Stella and Eve is determined to find out more about her and how she died. Her digging puts her life and that of her newborn baby in danger. Told from alternative points of view of Eve and Stella we learn more about Eve's past with a shocking ending.

Thank you to Harper Impulse and Killer Reads as well as Netgalley for my advanced copy of this book to read. All opinions are my own and are in no way biased

What a fantastic read, plenty twists & turns. Only bit I found a bit frustrating was trying to figure out who was talking at times as found it hard to distinguish them. I would recommend this to anyone.

After a lifetime of secrets how far would you go for the truth?
An unputdownable new psychological thriller, full of twists you won’t see coming, from Chris Curran. Your whole life has been a lie…

One email is all it takes to turn Eve’s world upside down. It contains a picture of her true birth mother, Stella, and proves that Eve’s entire life with her adoptive parents has been a lie. Now she must unravel the mystery of Stella’s dark past. But what Eve finds will force her to take enormous risks, which put her – and her new-born baby – in immediate danger…

Twisty, dark and so well written! This is one must-read! The author has the ability to connect the reader with the characters and the story immediately.

Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC of All the Little Lies by Chris Curran

What a fantastic book, loved every page and it kept me gripped throughout, just loved the style of this author's writing. The only downside I did get a bit confused with all the characters and who was who when the storyline kept changing but this is purely my opinion not how it was written.

Overall this book was well written and I can thoroughly recommend I don'[t think you will be disappointed.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Impulse Killer Reads for giving me the opportunity to read this excellent book.

Art students Stella and Maggie are totally different people but when they first meet, against all the odds they click and Maggie invites Stella to live with her, at a reduced rate, in the house that her now absent father gifted to her. They get on well although they are from different social classes; Maggie’s family are wealthy and Stella’s are right at the other end of the scale. She was mainly brought up by her lovely Nana. Nevertheless they enjoy each other’s company though; Stella is quiet and lacking in self confidence, Maggie is enthusiastic, exuberant and an all out extrovert. They quickly become best friends and confidants. Maggie already has a wealthy, married lover who coincidently owns an Art Gallery, specialising in discovering and developing new, young talent. She generously introduces Stella to him and he and his business partner are dazzled by Stella’s talent. Both Maggie and Stella are invited to provide their art at a forthcoming exhibition and they are destined to be centre pieces of the exhibition catalogue. Everything is falling into place for the starry eyed and beautiful friends.
A generation later, Eve is expecting a baby. She and her husband Alex know their baby will be female and are keenly awaiting her arrival. They have also selected a name for their little girl; Ivy. They have decorated a nursery for her and the rocking chair sits ready for Eve and Ivy’s use. It’s an exciting time for them both, but secretly Eve is desperate to know more about her birth mother and father. Her adoptive parents loved and cherished her throughout childhood and she was very happy. She knows she came to them to be fostered at a very early age and that they later adopted her. She loves them dearly and it seemed to her that she had always known that her birth mother had been unable to provide for her forever. She was too young and had problems of her own. Her birth mother knew that her baby would have a great life with her adoptive parents, whom she knew and liked. Eve is determined to use this waiting time to learn as much as she can about her natural parents who will soon become grandparents for Ivy.
But someone is seriously set dead against Eve and her subtle investigations. The more she finds out the twitchier they become until at last Eve’s and Ivy’s life is in grave danger. What she discovers proves to her that her whole life has been shaped by lie after lie and someone is desperate that the truth must never be revealed. 'All the Little Lies’ is a tightly plotted and compelling story, written in dual time frame and with two strong main characters. The chapters are clearly annotated with which narrator is telling their story and there are more than the two women who contribute as narrators. There are quite a few characters but all are strongly crafted and superbly developed. The story is involving from the very start. It is beautifully written and highly addictive. I really loved it and was totally floored by the final of many twists, but I liked it all the same. With strong issues like jealousy, revenge, greed and secrecy, this novel is surely destined to be extremely popular. I received a complimentary copy of this novel from publisher Killer Reads through my membership of NetGalley. These are my own honest and well considered opinions that are uninfluenced by any other reviews or publicity. This is a multi layered and absorbing story filled with interesting and diverse characters and plenty of interest to keep you engrossed. It’s a 4.5 from me.
