This book was fast paced. Hard to put down. It flowed well and it was very well written. It caught hold of me and had me hooked from the start . I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this book.

A thrilling read which kept me turning the pages, characters you care for and just brilliantly written. Great novel!!

A very good and gripping novel. Kept me on edge and was an intense page turner. I do love books with a good conclusion and this was nothing but. A must recommend with thriller enthusiats.

I enjoyed this book however I found it kind of predictable. It was a good story, and I love a good procedural but I found it a little common and similar to a lot of others I have read this past year.

D E White has delighted me with this gripping psychological thriller. I haven’t read any other books by this author and so I had no real expectations, but was not disappointed.

The book is mainly told from the point of view of the main character, Ava, who is now a LAPD detective but has a past full of, haunting, dark secrets. She returns to her home-town of Aberdyth at the request of her, dying, ex-husband.

I quite liked Ava, she was not easy to relate to but when you know what happened to her in the past it explains a lot, and I could sympathise with her about the depression that turned her life upside-down and changed the direction of her life and that of her son.

Set in Wales, the author has added some nice little touches which I really liked, such as the Welsh texts that the killer regularly sent to Ava, These were included at the end of each chapter, making me feel the need to keep on swiping the pages on my kindle so I could keep on reading!

The penny dropped for me early on as to who it was, but having said that I did wonder from time to time whether I was incorrect as there was so many twists and turn.Not only did it have a gripping and brilliantly thought-out plot-line, but I was equally confused as the lead character as to who could be trusted

I am Farley sure I have already reviewed this book. Having gone back to her childhood to try and find out what happened on the night one of the 8 friends disappear, now being a DC in the police force. Blocked out memories just a quick glims, it as if someone is trying to tell her something. Struggling to grasp things. Yet clearly remembering others. It’s a teal twisty and tunrney book. That leads to so many different paths, with hearts in your mouth events, turning up in many different places. You mind is buzzing with wanting to know yourself what actually happened that night. I was really really drawn into this book so much I struggled to put it down. It’s s fast paced books. Although you are desperate to find out the truth. I on the one hank was amazed and disappointed at the same time. There are certain books you read they are that good you do become desperate to see, yet once you have all the answers. your disappointed because on the other hand you just also wanted the story to continue. This was one of those books for me. Brilliant ending, just so good I wanted more. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone looking for a great mystery book

I don’t know what it was about this book, but I started it and put it aside four or five times before I finally got into it. It felt like a slog because I read the first few chapters over and over. It was a tough start but got better as it went on. Maybe the beginning wasn’t quite gripping enough or maybe every time I tried to read it I was in the wrong mood. Whatever it was, the book felt a little like a long hard uphill struggle to me.

Enjoyed this book and trying to work out who the killer was. I did actually guess right a little while before it was made obvious but I still liked seeing how things would unfold for Ava. A good read and I'll look forward to more from the author in the future.

I really did enjoy it. I think it is very well-written, the plots are good, the gripping-factor is on, everything is on the manual. But I think the main thing that made me not give it all the stars is that it is not very uncommon. It had a great deal of potential to be a memorable read, but wasn't as I would've expected.
But I liked it very much nonetheless and I am actually looking forward to read other works from the author!

3.25* Unfortunately this debut thriller didn't work for me. It's the story of a missing girl who's best friend moves back to her Welsh village when she finds out her ex is dying. The friend also happens to be a police detective and eventually starts asking questions which unsettles many. there is a lot going on this story and this is where it started losing me.....too many characters and threads made it difficult to follow. I guessed a lot of it before the end.

Ava's good friend Ellen disappeared years ago, when they were teenagers. Ava, Ellen and a number of their friends were partying in the woods one night when Ellen left the group. A short while later one of the boys found her nearby, dead and likely molested. The group was heavily under the influence of drugs and alcohol and were worried about the possible consequences of calling the police, so they decided to bury Ellen and tell anyone looking for her that she'd vanished and they had no idea where she'd gone.

Fast forward fifteen years and everyone has continued to keep the secret of Ellen's death. Everyone stayed in their small Welsh village except Ava, who moved to Los Angeles and became a detective with the LAPD. Ava learns that her ex-husband, the father of her son, both of whom she left when she moved to California, is terminally ill and she decides to go home for awhile. The vibe Ava feels from her circle of friends is anything but welcoming. Everyone is suspicious of her motives for returning. Without giving away anything else, the circumstances surrounding Ellen's death are eventually uncovered and it is a very original resolution of a very well written and suspenseful novel. I strongly recommend this book.

I am definitely a sucker for a good psychological thriller. And when I saw the title/cover/blurb I knew it was going to be a must read for me. However, it was a slow start for me. I put down the book several times in favor of something else that moved a bit more quickly. There were a lot of characters so I had to really pay attention to who was who which isn't always easy for me. There were definitely some quality twists and turns once you really get into it.!

Review: I will always read a mystery/thriller, I am a sucker for them, but this one just didn’t blow me away. Remember Me started out pretty slow, which is not really what you would expect with a thriller, and it just continued to be slow and drawn out for quite a while. Fortunately, it picked up about half way through but it is a hard read if you don’t care for a lot of violence in your thrillers. (Good thrillers can be written without excessive violence).
Although the book had some twists, and a decent plot, I just don’t feel that it will be very memorable, because there was nothing unique about it. There were a ton of characters to keep track of and as some points it actually becomes confusing. I give the author credit for the attempt, and would be willing to give them another try if they should publish again. This one just wasn’t for me.

I never thought I would like this book..... I found this novel a bit hard to get into at the beginning and sometimes I had to put the book down. there was a lot of characters in this book. I normally like thrillers but in my eyes a thriller/ horror novel has to pull you in almost on the first chapter and yet this book just did not pull me in as I wanted to. this is why it took me so long to just read the book. This book just did not connect with me in the way most novels normally do. I think i said this before but the story started up so slow for me, it did pick up in the middle or so but the ending could have been better. so in my eyes this book was just okay.

Remember Me is a story about Welsh teenagers who are obsessed with outdoing each other on dangerous dares while stoned out of their minds on drugs. To bring the story to present day one of the participants who is now a detective with LAPD returns to her childhood home where she immediately gets threatened by just about everyone in the small place.
I am not really a fan of books where there’s a person in the background who is responsible for all the carnage and the reader is left to guess the identity. Of course everything is revealed in the last chapter but by then I really didn’t care.
Sorry to say but this book was just not for me. It seemed very drawn out and took too long to get to the point.

This one took me awhile to get into but it was a good procedural once it got going.

I enjoyed the setting of the Welsh Village and the twists and turns were intriguing.

I liked Ava but did find some of the other characters confusing to keep up with as it went on in the story.

The death (accidental?) of a Welsh teenager and its subsequent cover-up by her friends sets the scene. Through flashbacks we see why they felt they needed to cover it up - drugs, alcohol, sex and dangerous games made it seemingly impossible for any of the remaining seven to come clean.
Over 15 years later Ava Cole has returned to her home town at the request of her dying ex-husband. Six of the original 8 teenagers are now back together, Jesse dying in an apparent motorcycle accident a few years back.
We soon realise that something darker is going on behind the scenes so to speak and that there is a "master player" rolling his/her dice and Ava is his/her final goal.
As you read you feel as if you're walking along a labyrinth slowly winding its way to the ultimate conclusion. The story unfolds through Ava's eyes; the "master player"'s eyes and flashbacks to their teens. It prickles your attention - gets you wondering what really happened that night? Who is this "master player"? Why is Ava their ultimate target? And what really happened that fateful night?
The story was initially very slow to grab my attention in the beginning, but as the tale unwinds it grabs you and pulls you into this tangled web.
I really liked the fact that the identity of this "master player" was kept well-hidden with little hints that get dropped throughout making you suspect each of the five who stayed behind.
The ending and ultimate revelation really surprises a person - not what I suspected AT ALL!!
Not only where the characters well-defined and interesting, but the landscape of the Welsh mountainside became an additional, powerful character.
I really enjoyed this book.

There were so many twists and turns that I found myself changing my mind from one suspect to another and back again. Not only did it have a gripping and brilliantly thought-out plot-line, but I was equally confused as the lead character as to who could be trusted. The penny only dropped for me when I had exhausted all suspects.

I loved where Daisy White took her chilling story, right through to its fulfilling conclusion.

I know I have found another author to add to my ever-growing list of favourites and I was lucky enough to participate in a buddy read for this book.

I thoroughly recommend “Remember Me” as it is definitely worth a read, especially if you enjoy a good thriller with plenty of atmosphere and a noir feel.
