I found this book to be similar to many books about how to use communication properly to deescalate conflict.

That isn't to say this is a bad book. It is very well written.

The main premise is Compassionate Communication: speak in short bursts rather than monologuing, use positive words even when pointing out a critique, don't talk too quickly and actually listen to the other person.

These things are critical and it works in all areas of communication between two people. If we could all put these into practice, our world would truly be a more compassionate place.

Read this book and do what it says and tell others about the results it has on your talks.
