Wonderfully written, entertaining book. Annie Raines is an exceptional romance writer. She puts the "mushy" stuff in without it being "mushy". Characters are fully detailed and portrayed very well.

I received an ebook ARC from Netgalley and this is my voluntary, honest review.

Can city girl Josie give up all she’s worked so hard to achieve and find happiness in a small town in North Carolina? After a series of mishaps, she might be thinking along those lines, especially as her feelings for Tuck grow stronger. But Tuck has his own issues to deal with. A story about moving on, new beginnings, finding oneself, and finding home. With a little bit of drama thrown in.

I was given an advance copy by NetGalley and the publisher, Forever (Grand Central Publishing). This review is my honest opinion.

It is charming when you have two characters who are trying to keep their distance from each other, but circumstances keep them close to each other over and over again. It's so much sweeter when they finally give in when they have been fighting the fall with everything they've got.

Josie and Tucker were wonderful together. Their romance warmed my heart and certainly made me smile.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book via Forever Pub and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

This is a sweet story that will leave you with a smile on your face and a light heart. Josie is a constantly in motion. She is of the “the busier the better” kind of person. When she gets injured in the small town of Sweetwater Springs and is forced to stop and take care of herself it is not an easy adjustment for her. She desperately wants to return to her busy crazy life in NYC as an editor at a big magazine. Tucker, her physical therapist is helping in her recovery while trying to emotionally recover and move forward with his own life while mourning the loss of his wife. Its a sweet slow burn of will they won’t they. Great characters, and of course a truly wonderful HEA.

Such a sweet and romantic story of finding love. I love the trope when a city girl goes to the country to find love. Josie's chatacter is soo wonderful. There was plenty of secrets to unfold and baggage to work thru. I couldn't wait to see how the story ended.

A beautiful small town romance. Surprises along the way keep the reader riveted to his seat. This story portrays moving past pain and starting a new life again.

Thank you NetGalley, Annie Rains and Forever for the copy of Springtime At Hope Cottage. This is my personal review.
Tuck and Josie are opposite in every way but that does not stop them from being attracted to each other. The story has twists and turns that will keep you reading.
The small town is the perfect setting for this story. The characters are all so likable and the interaction with everyone keeps the book flowing easily.
This is the second book in the Sweetwater Springs series. It can be read as a standalone. I have read other books in the series and enjoyed each one of them. Annie Rains knows how to write a romance that will make you want to read more of her books.

Josie's trip to Sweetwater Springs is only supposed to last a week. But fire damage to her NYC apartment means she's homeless for a month. When Tucker offers her the apartment over his garage, she extends her stay. She can work her journalism job remotely, and her sexy landlord leaves her wanting more from him than shelter. Sweetwater Springs isn't her home, and their budding relationship can only be a fling. Right?

If you love sweet small-town romance, you can't do better than this book. The characters are realistic and well-developed. The plot is interesting with enough tension and surprises to keep you reading. The setting is beautiful and welcoming, while the romance is breathless without being steamy. I loved the family-oriented aspects of the story and the way Josie and Tucker's pasts complemented each other.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Although romance is not my typical genre to read, I found Springtime at Hope Cottage by author Annie Rains to be a really enjoyable and entertaining story. I loved reading about Josie Kellum, a New York City magazine journalist who travels to the small town of Sweetwater Springs, North Carolina to vacation at her best friend, Kaitlyn Russo’s bed and breakfast. While there certain turn of events take place that causes Josies life to have a complete turn around. It’s a story of finding love, finding family and finding home. The characters were all so friendly and welcoming that I felt like I connected and really cared about all of them. From reading I have learned that this is just one of several books in this series and now that I’ve finished, I’m anxiously looking forward to reading more about this little town and all of the beautiful characters that live there. It just goes to show that taking a chance and exploring outside of your normal genres can be a surprising and pleasant experience. I’d like to thank NetGalley for the arc to read, review and really enjoy. I’m giving this 4 stars!

I received an advanced reader copy of Springtime at Hope Cottage but was unable to read this on NetGalley,so I put it on pocketbooks and was also unable to read it there because of the poor format on this app. Annie Rains is a wonderful writer and I am sure I would recommend this book when I am able to get it from my local library.👏🤗📚

I really liked this book. It was a little slow to get into, but after the first few chapters, I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the setting of the book - the small town charm, the community events, the cottage - everything about it was sweet and inviting. I liked Tuck and Josie - they had some real challenges going on in their lives but they made a cute couple and a good team. The events flowed well in the book. Overall a cute, light-hearted read and I recommend.

I was provided a free copy of the book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I have read a few of Annie Rains books, but this one I just could not get into. I actually walked away and came back again a month later. I forced myself to read about the first 5 chapters, but just could not get into the story line at all.

I really enjoyed this sweet, small town romance. This is the 2nd book in this series, but it was not hard to follow. It encouraged me to read the first book. The characters were engaging and their story line was believable.

There was a secondary plot to this book that made the romance more heartfelt. I also enjoyed that the main character was of American Indian heritage. His profession of physical therapy was also interesting in that he went to his patients and made their therapy to fit their lifestyle. The author included humorous and heartfelt stories for the patients. This included a child who had lost her mother to the accident that also injured her. This storyline was very emotional at times.

Our heroine was at a crossroads in her life and I enjoyed her growing process. Her past decisions contributed to her reluctance to give in to love. I felt her final stumble into romance was very satisfying.

Overall I enjoyed this book very much. I received an ARC from NegGalley in return for my honest review.

I enjoyed reading Josie's story. When Josie flew in to visit with her best friend, she didn't expect to have complications in her life while visiting. Tuck being a widow is not expecting doing a friend a favor might change his outlook on life.

The story had surprises but it was a great story. You will not be disappointed with this book. I did receive a copy.

Springtime at Hope Cottage

An enjoyable read of a career woman from the city on vacation and a physical therapist. who lives in a small town in the mountains. Neither was looking for a relationship despite efforts of friends on both sides, as the vacation was of short duration and then it was back to work for Josie--until her city apartment needed repairs due to a fire. Needing a temporary residence, Josie found an available spot above the garage of her physical therapist, a handsome widower, and a friendship begins.
The relationship grows and deepens with some twists and turns. It is a sweet, feel good story.

I loved this book! Josie and Tuck meet in an awkward way and don't plan to see each other again. Unfortunately, Josie injures her knee and Tuck is the physical therapist asked to assist. Their relationship grows from professional to friendship and to more. The characters are mature and kind and multifaceted. Tuck was working through his grief over the loss of his wife. Josie is at a major point in her career. Adding Maddie to the mix complicated things in the sweetest way. This is a feel good book at a time when it is so needed. I read this book though Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read of Annie Rains and I loved it! Talk about a feel good story! This is the 2nd in this series but my first one and I wasn’t lost. Josie is a writer for a magazine in New York and is heading back to visit her best friend Kaitlyn in Sweetwater Springs for a short visit. Tuck is a physical therapist and he was going to met Annie at the airport to bring her to Sweetwater Springs to say the least he was very annoyed by her constant chatter. While staying at the B & B her friend runs Josie decided to take a walk where she has an accident and sprains her ankle. Kaitlyn is worried because Josie hasn’t returned so she sends Tuck to find her. He is still annoyed with her but this is where things do start to heat up. Josie is getting ready to head back to New York when she gets a call there has been a fire in her apartment building she is delayed heading home. I loved how the two were complete opposite personalities but do find they work well together. They had a lot of obstacles that they had to overcome in the beginning. Tuck had lost his wife to cancer and still was mourning her. Josie didn’t like her job after the family member took over, plus she was a total workaholic. I am not going to give away the best part of the book but I do think you would enjoy reading it. Plus love the Three Sisters Soup recipe at the end of the book!

I want to say Thank You to Netgalley for the free copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
