3.25/5 stars!

When the heroine visits Sweetwater Springs, an accident befell the heroine to stay longer than she had expected. The hero, a physical therapist, helps with her recuperation while trying not to be attracted to her. As the couple fall in love with each other, they encounter changes and choices they need to face if they wanted a future together.

I liked the small-town vibes and the secondary characters. I liked the twist and how it gave depth to the story. The animals were crucial, be they small or large, to the story in the interactions between the hero and the heroine. I did feel that past relationships of one character overpowered the present main relationship in the book, even if said relationships were critical to the story. Otherwise, it was a nice read.

As for the bonus story, it's 4/5 stars. The young couple have a falling out as they viewed different futures for each other and themselves. Basically the story is bittersweet for the young couple as they resolved said conflict; this is a prequel for one character in the series.

This book is adorably sweet and delicious, like munching on a warm gooey chocolate chip cookie in a glass of milk. It gives you all the great deals of a small-town environment. There are many different opportunities and choices that needs to happen and are currently happening, secrets family, friends, lovers and melt your hearts romance. Charming and wonderful, I fell in love with this book from the first page. I realize that it is part of a series, in fact it's booked two, and I plan on going back and getting all the rest of the books in the series so that I can continue my adventures in Sweetwater Springs. I love how the kindness and thoughtfulness of the residents pervaded the novel showing what a wonderful place a small town can be to live in. Bravo!

I would like to thank Annie Rains, Forever - Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The story of Tuck and Josie is one of hope - hope for moving forward, hope of feeling at home and finding love. The hope one realizes when they have good friends and family and a feeling of belonging. Springtime at Hope Cottage is a wonderful, heartwarming return to Sweetwater Springs, and another touching story of friendship, family, finding home, and discovering love. Annie Rains does a wonderful job of drawing the reader in and she made me feel like the people in Sweetwater Springs are my friends. I know I definitely want to make another visit to this enchanting little town!

4 1/2 STARS!

Small town life leads to a sweet romance! On this return visit to Sweetwater Springs, we reconnect with Kaitlyn and Mitch from the first book in the series as they interact with her best friend and the guy she seems to be falling for. The setting is peaceful and heartfelt with an emotionally rich plot. Really enjoying this series!

New York City magazine editor Josie Kellum has enjoyed visiting her best friend at the cozy little inn she runs in Sweetwater Springs, North Carolina but she's raring to get home to her hectic city lifestyle. Fate has something else in store for her though when she's sidelined by a minor injury and forced to stay in Sweetwater Springs for a little longer. It's not all bad though ... there's a gorgeous man involved!

Physical therapist Tucker Locklear can't deny that Josie wakes up a part of him that's been dormant since his wife died a couple of years ago, but they're all wrong for each other. She's city, he's country ... she's stressed, he's laid back ... and most importantly, he's loved and lost before and been left heartbroken, so he's not game to give it another go.

I loved Tucker and Josie’s story! This romance was so sweet and emotional, which made me so glad that Tucker didn’t give up on love after experiencing a heart-breaking loss. They say that opposites attract and even though Josie wasn’t what Tucker wanted in his life, she was exactly what he needed so he could love again. The chemistry between these two characters was absolutely amazing and I’m so glad that these two characters decided to fight for the love that they were experiencing. This was a real winner for me.

This is a nice read and is book 2 in the Sweetwater Springs series. It can be read as a stand alone. Josie is visiting her best friend (book 1's romance) and her 1st meeting with Tucker doesn't go well. He thinks she's a spoiled big city girl. When she injures her knee and needs physical therapy, Tucker becomes her therapist. When she decides her career is back in the city, they face a crossroad. The story is sweet and easy to read. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was such a sweet second chance romance, which is one of my absolute favorite types of books to read, so this book was right up my alley.

I enjoyed getting to know Josie more in this book. She is such a fun character to get to know. Tucker was a great character as well. Tucker and Josie had amazing chemistry together and I was rooting for them to give love another chance.

I've never read anything by Annie Rains before, but I was HOOKED on this to the point I read it on my lunch break! This was a GREAT novel and I'm really hoping that Ms Rains has a plan to flesh out the whole town of Sweetwater Springs. This felt a lot like a Debbie Macomber Cedar Cove novel - but only in the best ways. Endearing town, honest characters and an authentic voice.... I'm here for more!!

Springtime at Hope Cottage is a great addition to the series. I loved this clean, sweet romance. The characters are well developed and the writing style is very well done. Loved this installment and I am anxiously waiting on the next one.

This story is one that will leave you just feeling good when you finish it. It is slightly predictable in how the storyline progresses, but that really did not take away from the storyline itself. I still found the a light air of suspense in whether Josie would open herself up to a relationship or not. I also felt the author did an amazing job at developing great characters that had depth and dealt with real life issues that made them feel more real and made them instantly connectable. I highly recommend this book to all readers, but if you are a fan of heartwarming second chance romances you will really love this read. I give this a huge five star rating!

This is a “sweet and clean” book meaning there is no harsh cursing and no graphic on-page sex. While it is the second book in a series, it totally stands alone – you do not have to have read the first book to enjoy this one. (Although you should because it is wonderful.)

I adored this story of Josie and Tucker finding their way to each other. They are an unexpected couple, opposites in a lot of ways, but watching them both find out things about themselves, and finding their way to a happily ever after was wonderful. One of Ms. Rains' best strengths is her ability to write likable and well-developed characters, and this book was no different. I found myself rooting not only for Josie and Tucker, but for the side characters (trying not to spoil by being too specific) as well. I cannot wait for the next book in this beautiful series.

This is a sweetly thrilling, heartwarming and engaging romance that is filled with all the small-town goodness you could hope for. Loved Sweetwater Springs and the intriguing charters I got to know on this journey. Really enjoyed reading this emotionally thrilling second chance! Looking forward to more from this series.

I loved everything about this, starting with the cover!

Tuck isn't interested in the pretentious city princess he is tasked with picking up from the airport. She seems more interested in her phone than the beautiful scenery around her. Josie is on vacation...but also always working. She has no interest in the gorgeous guy her best friend sent to pick her up. But as Tuck and Josie get to know each other better, there might just be more than they ever hoped for.

This is a great addition to this series!!

Springtime at Hope Cottage by Annie Rains is one of my new favorite books. I loved revisiting Sweetwater Springs and both Josie and Tuck were heartbreaking. They totally deserved their HEA and it was fun watching them figure it out. I loved catching up with old friends and making new ones. This was the perfect read for a snowy winter day. This is for anyone who love small town romance, including readers of Nancy Naigle, Hope Ramsay, and Sara Richardson.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Josie was on vacation when she got into a accident. Tucker is the is the towns PT and he's trying to get her better as soon as possible. Things get complicated the more they are around eachother because of that undeniable attraction but there is a end date when she one day will go back to her home.

This was such a nice read. It was beautiful out so I decided to take my book out on the porch and read though this book and I have to day I pretty much devoured this sweet little book. You can't help but want to root for the main characters, root for their happiness and hope for the best at what is thrown at them because things just keep happening and these two are rolling with the punches. Overall pretty sweet contemporary read I really enjoyed it.

SPRINGTIME AT HOPE COTTAGE is the second instalment in Annie Rains’ contemporary, adult SWEETWATER SPRINGS romance series focusing on the people of Sweetwater Springs. This is thirty–year old, New York journalist and editor Josie Kellum, and widower/ physio-therapist Tucker Locklear’s story line. SPRINGTIME AT HOPE COTTAGE can be read as a stand-alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Josie and Tuck) SPRINGTIME AT HOPE COTTAGE follows the building relationship between thirty–year old, New York journalist and editor Josie Kellum, and widower/ physio-therapist Tucker Locklear. Taking some well deserved R&R in Sweetwater Springs Josie will come face to face with her future, physio-therapist and widower Tucker Locklear, a man who struggles to let go of the past. When an ankle injury and a fire back home forces Josie to remain in Sweetwater Springs a little longer, Josie and Tucker will go from client to tenant to friendship to something more. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Tucker and Josie, and the potential fall-out as Tucker’s past comes full circle.

Tucker Locklear has loved and lost. Battling with memories from the past, Tuck struggles to let go and move forward including giving himself permission to again, fall in love. Josie Kellum never expected to like the pace and ambience of small-town living but something about Sweetwater Springs and Tucker Locklear may convince Josie to step back and breathe the fresh air.

The relationship between Josie and Tuck begins acrimoniously when Josie mistakenly takes Tucker for a potential threat. A sprained ankle finds Josie needing help from our story line hero, help that comes in the form of physio therapy, and a roof over her head.

The world building continues to focus on small-town living: the people, the businesses, the gossip and the love. We are re-introduced to several of the local characters including Mitch and Kaitlyn (Christmas on Mistletoe Lane #1), police chief Alex Logan, Fudge Shop owner Dawanda; bookstore owner Julia Kent; as well as the introduction of Tuck’s sister and florist Halona, and several phsysio clients including eleven year old Maddie, who struggles with loss of her beloved mother. Alex and Halona’s story is next in SNOWFALL ON CEDAR TRAIL.

SPRINGTIME AT HOPE COTTAGE is a sweet, heart warming and delightful story of family, friendship, loss and hope. The character driven premise is spirited; the romance is tender- the $ex scenes are all implied; the characters are fun, sassy, and energetic.
