If you’re on the hunt for a charming, feelgood book, this is the book for you. Sarah and Molly are sisters who lost their parents in a car accident early in life and have since then only each other. They’re very diffenrent but close. Sarah lives with her boyfriend Niall and Molly is single, although she has a huge crush on her boss. The question is: how will she make him fall in love with her? I enjoyed this well written book and really rooted for Molly and Sarah. The Publishers kindly provided me with a free copy through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. |
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a light-hearted romance that includes two sisters searching for the right love formula. It was funny and enjoyable. Both sisters lean on each other as they navigate the complexities of their romantic relationships. Good read. |
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the type of book that allows you to share emotions with the characters and feel as though you are there with them. An enjoyable read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 |
This was such a lovely book! It successfully captures the relationship between two sisters while intertwining their own relationships elsewhere. This book is a perfect summer read! |
The Love Solution is a bit hard for me to rate. I did enjoy the core of the novel, which focuses on two sisters and their complex love lives. However, I couldn’t connect with the two sisters that much, especially Sarah, and felt like the payoff was lacking. I would recommend this for romance readers who don’t like their reads to be too explicit, but I was a bit disappointed. The Love Solution is a quick and easy read, but one I ultimately couldn’t connect to. |
"I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review" Sisters Sarah and Molly are close, but they couldn’t be more different. Sarah runs a craft business and is obsessed with all things shiny and glam, whilst Molly is much more at home in her white coat and goggles, working in a science lab. When Molly is put onto a new assignment, she’s over the moon. It’s a high-profile, top secret project – and she has a handsome new boss to ogle at when she’s not bending over a petri dish… But when Sarah finds herself on the painful end of a disastrous break-up, no amount of Ben & Jerry’s or trashy rom-coms can cheer her up. She wants to take a more drastic approach to dealing with her heartbreak, and one that only her sister – and perhaps a sprinkle of science – can help with . . . I really enjoyed this book and it was a perfect read for the mood I was in. I loved that it was a story about two sisters not just one. I have to admit I liked Molly a lot more than Sarah throughout most of the book. Sarah frustrated me with the choices she was making and the way she treated Molly at times. I did get Sarah though because I have been in a similar situation and your thought process is a little all over the place, but still she drove me a little crazy. Molly on the other hand I liked and I loved how grateful she was for Sarah. I loved the romance in this book and how the story wrapped up but I really hated that there was so much of Neill in this book (I HATE HIM SO VERY MUCH) and wanted more of liam. This was a prefect romance novel and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars and I would suggest anyone who loves a good romance or just a happy ending read this is the book for you. |
Author: Ashley Croft Publisher: Avon Books UK Release Date: 15th August 2019 Genre: Women's Fiction / Contemporary Romance Rating: 4/5 stars ✨ **I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thanks goes out to the author and publicity team for the copy and this in no way affects my opinion of the book.** The Love Solution is a laugh out loud, science geek celebrating contemporary romance by Ashley Croft. It follows the stories of Molly, her super crush boss Ewan and her older sister Sarah and Sarah's boyfriend-come nightmare, Niall. It's a touching and adorable story with enough emotional situations and a heartbreaking side plot. I was hooked from the first page! "It’s all in the chemistry… Sisters Sarah and Molly are close, but they couldn’t be more different. She wants to take a more drastic approach to dealing with her heartbreak, and one that only her sister – and perhaps a sprinkle of science – can help with . . . Will Sarah find love where she least expects it, or is it really all in the chemistry?" I absolutely adored Molly, her character is so adorable and so relatable. She adores her sister, crushes on her boss, works as a scientist and loves all kinds of things from books, to zoology to Anthropology. The way she stands by Sarah is so beautiful. Such a great read. Sarah's character was just as lovable but less relatable, but her story rung a bell to me and I found myself laughing, shouting and crying alongside her. When Liam comes into her life her story becomes even more emotionally charged and I adored seeing their friendship grow into something more. The whole "love bug" idea was fascinating. It was weird but somehow comforting to think of romance and love in such scientific terms and it was certainly a funny way of seeing things in a "romance novel" but nevertheless it was fabulous and I enjoyed it so much. I'd definitely say it's going to be a great and funny read for the summer and should be on everyone's list, if only for the scene of Hunky Ewan in a kilt! 😉 |
Thank you to NetGalley, Ashley Croft and Avon Books for an Arc of the love solution. What initially caught my eye with this book was the cover. It reminded me of the kiss quotient which is one of my all time favorite books. I knew I had to see what it was about. I was excited to learn it was about two sisters and their journeys to find love. Was super excited to start reading this one. Molly and Sarah are sisters and they are very close but very different people. Sarah runs a craft business and Molly is a scientist. Molly gets put on a new high-profile secret project and has a handsome new boss. Sarah is incredibly sad after going through a really tough breakup. Can her sister Molly and perhaps a little science get her out of her funk? I really enjoyed this book. I loved the strong bond these sisters had with each other and I enjoyed reading each individuals romantic relationship story lines. This book will tug at your heart but at the same time give you plenty of laughs. What a refreshing read. I loved this book and the ending made me smile. Check this one out if you are a fan of fun rom com romance. |
Absolutely GORGEOUS! This book totally captures the unique relationship between sisters through their individual romantic relationships. With swoonsome leading men and cheeky humour, this book is a PERFECT summer read. The sisters’ unconditional support and tough love leads them into some really interesting moral quandaries - would YOU take the Love Solution? |
This was a really cute read! Definitely one to toss into your beach tote or bring with you on a road trip. Sisterhood is strong in this one. There’s a bit of science and strong British English so be ready for that. Molly made me laugh, Sarah tugged at my heart. I was very happy with the storyline and the ending. |
Such a lovely book!! It’s like the sisters are your best friends and you get to chat with them. You will not want to stop reading. |

A great read, and the first I have read by this author. Sarah and Molly are sisters, and especially close after Sarah raised Molly folowing the death of their parents. Sarah has just found out her partner is cheating, and will do anything to get him back. Molly can help her out, but should she? Molly is in love with her boss, but will he ever notice her? |
You know when you read a romance and you get all warm and fuzzy and have this goofy sort of smile on your face? Well, Croft's "The Love Solution" is that type of romance! |
I had really hoped that this would be the cute, light hearted read that would be the perfect pick-me-up after a draining week. But unfortunately I found the writing to not be to my taste. I felt the storyline was at times very flat and that the plot plodded along to a very predictable ending. The book was filled with characters (especially the *other women*) that were very stereotyped and cliched. Also the two lead characters, Sarah and Molly, both made decisions in this novel that seemed very far fetched and ultimately frustrated me during this read. Hopefully this book will find its perfect reader but sadly that reader isn't me. *An e-copy of this book was kindly provided to me by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.* |
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. This is the kind of book that I have been waiting for. The type of book that you step through the pages of the book and you are transported to a new place. Where you meet new friends, share their ups and downs, happiness and tears and where the story comes to life in magnificent colour. I loved, loved, loved, loved, loved this book and if you love chicklit and romance stories this is one simply not to be missed. |
