Extremely Entertaining and Highly Readable!

Four women desperately want a man and turn to online dating to find him. Tsk tsk..

Paige is highly intelligent, pretty and successful - up until now, that is. She always had everything going for her till she lost her job and her competitive cousin Heather stole her boyfriend Noah out from under her. If Heather has it her way, everything Paige has ever had will be hers.

Chloe is Paige’s bestie. Chloe is totally gorgeous and is married with two children. She’s also a doormat. The reason she creates an online dating profile? Chloe gets an anonymous call telling her that her husband has profiles on every single site. Sadly, it’s not the first time Matt has cheated.

Paige’s mother Joan lost her husband two years ago. Joan would still like to be needed and feel attractive. Isn’t that always the case?

Mr. Right Now is looking for the right woman. He has plans that involve a nice steak dinner and a glass of fine wine. That said, perhaps you should think twice about swiping right my dear friends. This sure gave pause.

Talk about campy, entertaining and all together thrilling! What an easy read even though it was a tad predictable. I tore through this one in a day and found it to be really enjoyable.

This was a fun buddy read with Kaceey. So glad we picked this one!

First, thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read an e-galley of this book.

This book was hard to put down. I was on the edge of my seat and had to keep reading, just so I could figure it all out. I didn't have it figured out until the end! I would have to put the book down to go to sleep, but I would wake up in the middle of the night, and have to read just a few more pages to make my mind feel like I was making progress in figuring out how it was all going to end up!

Twists and turns all over the place!

I would highly recommend! Joy Fielding at her finest!

I was really looking forward to this book, as I've always liked Joy Fielding's books. I enjoyed reading it until I got to the very end. It was like suddenly falling off the edge of a cliff. It simply ended. It didn't answer the questions I had or even feel fulfilling at the end. And I had really enjoyed it up until then. When I turned the page and saw the acknowledgements, I was more than stunned. Surely someone, an editor, would have told the author to craft a better and more satisfying ending.

I don't know what it is about books that highlight the dangers of on-line dating but I am such a sucker for a good one and this one is great!

Paige, her bestie Chloe, her mom, Joan, and her hilariously awful cousin, Heather, all dip their toes in the pool of on-line dating. One of them will intersect with a serial killer who calls himself Mr. Right Now.

Told from multiple POVs, including the killer's, which I always love, this book managed to be funny (usually Heather's awfulness but also some of the killer's perspectives and observations), scary, and compulsively readable.

Thank you to Joy Fielding, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was another fantastic book by Joy Fielding. It captivated me from the beginning and held my attention throughout. This book is about four women whose lives are connected. Paige was my favorite character, but I enjoyed her mother, Joan, and best friend, Chloe, as well. Cousin Heather is one of those characters that I loved to hate. This book focuses on the world of online dating. The plot is clever, and I really liked how it all played out. It seems harsh in one instance, but I thought that all of the characters got what they deserved.

Joy Fielding gives us a glimpse into the lives of a mother and daughter caught in the middle of life changing events. All the Wrong Places weaves a story that is suspenseful as well as life affirming.

Loooooooove this book! My favorite read of 2019 so far. Such a fast paced thrilling read until the very end that really makes you think twice about online dating and the scary world we live in. I really loved Paige, the main character. Her mom Joan and her best friend Chloe were well developed and likeable as well.
Her cousin, Heather, well she's not likeable to say the least.
This book has it all: love, lust, deceit, murder, strained relationships with family members-just all kinds of drama. I couldn't put this down and highly recommend it!!!!

Special Thanks to NetGalley and Random House-Ballantine for allowing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Well written, fast paced thriller with just the right amount of twists and turns. I liked the dating app serial killer angle, though slightly terrifying!

This book was absolutely one of the best thrillers that I have read in a long time! The author knew just when to increase the suspense and then how to keep the reader waiting and wanting more. When the story begins, Paige is suffering from a broken heart, caused by none other than her conniving cousin Heather. Joan, Paige’s mother, is feeling old and at loose ends, after being a widow for a few years. Chloe, Paige’s best friend, is suffering a crisis of her own when she finds out that her husband Matt may have been unfaithful. At first, it seemed like a lot of characters to keep up with, but actually, they all had some strong personalities that the book took on a life of its own, like a really engrossing movie. The final character worth mentioning in a review is Mr. Right Now, Paige’s contact on a dating site who may or may not be what she is hoping for. The story is so fast-paced that it’s like a whirlwind of drama or a high-speed locomotive. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters and I particularly liked that the protagonist, Paige, was easy to like. I found myself almost holding my breath when Paige’s life was in imminent danger, again and again. Of course, the reader is not meant to like Heather because she is extremely obnoxious, so I didn’t like her at all, although I did kind of pity her for her shallow life. This book has it all: love gained and lost, love for a lifetime, a parent’s neglect, unemployment, and a serial killer. Put it all together and it all adds up to one fantastic book!

This novel explores the world of online dating and is also the story of 4 women, we meet Paige, a young woman in her early 30’s as well as her mother Joan. I liked both of them, paige’s best friend Chloe with 2 adorable children and her cheating husband Matt. Paige’s cousin Heather, she can pass as Paige’s twin but she is nowhere near like Paige. She is living with Noah, Paiges ex boyfriend, another cheater.

We also meet Mr Right Now, a twisted serial killer who meets his victims on dating websites. I was totally engaged in this story but I felt the ending was a little anti climatic.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I always look forward to Joy Fielding's newest books, knowing they will frighten me while keeping me hooked. This book was different from the usual thriller. We know who the killer is but have to wait and see who the victim will be. The look into a very frightening aspect of the online dating world made me thank my lucky stars I am not in need of online dating, because this would have scared me off! The complicated family dynamics added another layer to the book and I found myself rooting for certain characters to make it out alive.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Online dating! World of online dating and a killer, is the newest book by this author. Its scary to even think about! Another fine book from this author.

Paige Hamilton caught her boyfriend sleeping with her cousin. She is still torn up about the break up. She has also lost her job when her company is bought out and is now living with her widowed Mother. Claire has a cheating husband she can’t seem to break away from and Heather, the cousin, is selfish and self destructive. There is a serial killer operating in the area and Paige catches his eye.

From the beginning we know who the killer is. Chapters are written from his viewpoint. I have liked books by this author before but this wasn’t my favorite. The story addresses the dangers of online dating, but for me the ending was anti climactic. It just stopped. I felt like it could lead to another book to address some unresolved issues. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Wow. Another great book from Joy Fielding. This is a great roller coaster ride of a book where you know WHO did it, you just don't know who the victim will be.
Paige, a recently unemployed woman who is lonely and living with her mother since her father's death, begins to stick her toe in the water of online dating.
Her mother, Joan, begins to think that maybe she should start thinking about dating again two years after the death of her husband.
Paige's best friend Chloe is in a difficult marriage. And Heather, Paige's cousin is a difficult person because of a betrayal within the family.
A handsome serial killer is on the loose and women are disappearing. We know within the first few pages who the killer is and how he finds his victims. The real questions becomes, which of the four main characters will find themselves in his grasp.
Joy Fielding weaves a terrific thriller that keeps you wondering until the end who the victim will be. The characters are well developed and we find ourselves rooting for some characters while wishing ill to others.
With online dating being so prevalent in our society, it really makes you think how easy this scenario could play out.. You never really know another person or what their motives might be.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC for my honest review.

This was listed as a thriller but it felt more like a women's fiction with a serial killer thrown in. You start out knowing who the killer is and are lead to believe one of the four women will be his victim. Unfortunately I saw the "twist" very early on. None of the women were very likeable and most of the men in their lives were just horrible.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this book as much as I had hoped.

Another great novel by Fielding. I'm a big fan and enjoyed this novel as well, though the story fell a little flat for me. I will continue to read her novels but this just wasn't my favorite.

I love Joy Fielding's work, but this one wasn't my favorite of her books. I think I expected more of a thriller, but this story was more about relationships with that thriller, bad thing lurking in the background. Still a good story, just not my favorite of her books.

The book begins with a scene in which a handsome serial killer is torturing a woman that he met on a dating website.

The man, who uses the name of Mr. Right Now, had been murdering women he met online in the Boston area for a few months. He had done the same thing in other cities where he had lived for brief periods.

He would text the woman for a few weeks, then make a date to meet in a local bar. Once the woman felt comfortable with him, he would suggest a delicious steak dinner. Then he would take the woman to his apartment where he proceeded to torture and kill her.

Paige Hamilton had been living with her widowed mother in a Back Bay apartment. She has been unemployed for a few months and could not afford her own place. Before moving in, Paige had lived for a few years with her boyfriend, Noah. However when she discovered Noah and her jealous cousin, Heather, together at their apartment, Paige moved out and Heather moved in.

Paige’s best friend, Chloe, was the married mother of two. Chloe tried to get the now single Paige into online dating. Chloe even made up a dating profile and added it to several sites for her friend. Paige’s late father’s twin brother was having a big party for his 80th birthday and Paige wanted a date for the event as she was sure her cousin and Noah would be there. So Paige arranged to meet an online suitor at a bar. While there, she caught the attention of Mr. Right Now, who was also meeting a woman at the same bar. The predator overheard enough of the conversation to discover that Paige’s dating name was Wildflower and that she was on several dating sites. He then proceeded to stalk her online and discover as much as he could about her. His aim was to eventually make her his victim.

Then Chloe was informed by an anonymous caller that her realtor husband, Matt, had also been on dating sites meeting women. There were several arguments and finally Matt agreed to move out.

Paige’s Mother, Joan, also got into the online dating game and began dating a charming older man she met on a site for seniors.

Throughout the book, Mr. Right Now is planning to ensnare Paige, torture her and then kill her. However until the very end of the book we find out whether he was successful in getting her into his apartment to torture her.

This book shows the reader how popular online dating is today. It also exposes the dark side of anonymous online dating and the dangers one might find there. It also shows the reader how easy it is for someone to gain valuable information about another person online.
