This novel is a good one that I’ve read this year! The characters are so dynamic yet relatable. I loved the flow of the story. It held my attention the whole time.

I ended up DNFing this book. It was very slow paced and felt more like a classic lit book you would read in school. I found the idea of the plot to be very interesting, but this book took too long to get there and couldn't hold my attention.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I love reading debut novels by authors. There is a lot going on this book. It has this way about it that makes me look at the other side a little different. Love is one of those emotions that seems to throw a wrench into each story and changes how things are done. I feel a lot for Dylan and Tristian. Looking for to reading the next one.

I've had my eye on this book/series for awhile. I generally do not go for romantic stories, but this really fits and is believable. I am grateful to have the advanced copies of the next two books in the series so I can see how everything plays out!

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley.com and the publisher Myrick Marketing & Media, LLC
Kelpies. Thanks to both for the opportunity to read and review.

Ferryman is probably one of the more original paranormal/YA stories I've read. A young girl dies, meets her ferryman and falls in love with him. He in turn falls for her too. He can not go where she's going and she can't stay where he is. A classic theme in love stories but somehow Ms. McFall makes it new and fresh.

Almost Gaiman-esque in her visual storytelling, Ms. McFall has given the reader an entirely fresh take on the afterlife and what it's like while borrowing from centuries old mythology.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the story. An entertaining read.

4 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.

The plot overview was the reason I wanted to read this book. The cover helped that as it is very gorgeous. I was entirely confused from page one. The world is thrown together and kind of hard to follow. You have to really commit to concentrating and sticking with the storyline. But the tradeoff is that the story is so well thought out that you will enjoy the plot once you are about halfway through.

I found the pemise of this book realley interesting. However the writing and some of characters fall a bit flat for me. This book read more like a middle geade book an a YA. The concept of the world was interesting, though it could have been fleshed out more. All in all its an ok book. Not bag not great, just ok.

This truly has to be one of the most imaginative love stories I’ve ever read.

It’s hard to discuss why without completely spoiling the plot (I honestly would recommend even avoiding the synopsis), but I can honestly say I have never read a book like this.

I’m always a big fan of strong character development, and Dylan is a great example of that. I actually really liked how she even had that realization of how much she had grown throughout the course of the book.

If you’re a fan of a good love story, magical realism, and/or the paranormal then I can’t recommend this book enough. If you love all of those things, you won’t regret picking this one up.

It’s clever and exciting, filled with feels, and all around just different from the “regular reading experience”. A very unique read.

The story to me feels complete. I’m not entirely sure what the sequels are going to be like considering how pleased I am with the ending of Ferryman, but I’m excited to see what McFall dreamed up.
