This book is beautifully illustrated. The creator tries their hardest to simplify some teh most confusing parts of a legacy. My favorite ones were the larger family dynasties and seeing it drawn out. But most of the individuals didn't appeal to me. I don't care to know the family of Shakespeare but to understand Catherine's the Great's lineage leans more to other historical events and reach and was educational. The family trees are from across the world and didn't just focus on one region giving a wonderful worldview.
This is a lovely book for all your scholarly friends.
