I received an arc of this title for an honest review. Daisy is struggling with work and the recent loss of her mother when an opportunity to go on an outdoorsy vacation comes up. Her boyfriend turns out not to be the outdoorsy type and maybe not even a good match for her. A quick romance read.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

This is the first book I’ve read by Catherine Ferguson and I’ll be quickly searching for more as I loved it! Highly recommend for anyone to read wanting an escape

What a refreshing and well written chick lit book. I think that was needed for me, isolation has been tough and as always books are my escape into something a whole lot more better.

After her mother's death Daisy is at a bit of a cross roads. This is definitely more a book about finding yourself and learning about who you are than the usual romance.

I really enjoyed this book and I will definitely be reading more from Catherine Ferguson.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for my honest opinions.

This is my first book by Catherine Ferguson, and I think I picked a good one to start with. I like how the book follows the story of someone already in a relationship; so many books are all about single people so it made a nice change. I enjoyed all the characters and all the little stories that joined up to make one big one. I would definitely read another of Catherine’s books!

Daisy's boyfriend is a nightmare, He clearly doesn't care about her, is ungrateful for the surprise trip and amusingly doesn't like the countryside.

I say amusingly as the scene with the bee is hilarious, as are his attempts to rid the glamping yurt from all creepy crawlies!

While Daisy absolutely loves being in and amongst the great outdoors, and is generally having a really tough time of it, after her mother died.

She did though pick this glamping spot for their week away with an ulterior motive, which really does drive the story and add a great deal of depth to it.

I also loved that Poppy and Roxy from previous Catherine Ferguson books were featured, I always love catching up with old characters even in passing, when a fan of an author.

I found this to be a very quick and incredibly enjoyable book, and I loved every second of it.

Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Daisy is suffering from the loss of her mother but also hoping to find her birth mother as she was adopted, so when a chance to stay at her friend's new 5 star glamping site in the next village to the address she has for her birth mother she jumps at it. She tells her boyfriend Toby that she is taking him for his birthday but he is very unimpressed when he arrives and finds he is sleeping in a tent and not a 5 star hotel and takes every opportunity he can to go back to work. Left to her own devices she meets a man who is sleeping in a tent in the woods and the sparks fly...... will she succumb to his charms!

A lovely fun read with some great characters, not all likeable, and plenty of comedy moments, perfect for the beach

I absolutely loved this book. Catherine Ferguson is a new author to me and I will be getting more of her titles. It was light, funny, romantic. There was a good guy, a bad guy and a wronged protagonist. I loved the glamping side of things and there was a lot of humour in the book, as well as some heart-wrenching scenes to do with her mother. Easy read. Loved it.

HMM....okay...let's start with the positive. That cover is so cute! Love it! If I saw it in a story I'd pick it up for that fact alone and then probably buy it. The plot line with Daisy mourning her mother was also good, and made my chest tighten a little at the thought of losing my own mother and how lost I would feel, and in that regard I could really get a sense of where she was coming from and what she was feeling.

The rest....
okay, the writing wasn't bad. It flowed well and was easy enough to put down and pick up again without being confused or needing to re-read. I liked that, I'd probably read another by her. However, I couldn't stand the main character, Daisy. She had this child-like naive ability that drove me crazy. Girl was real dumb.. ALSO let me just say that I didn't hate Toby (her boyfriend) at first but maybe that's just because Daisy was so annoying. She plans a birthday get away for him but makes it all about her by trying to find her adoptive mother - that's not really the best. Toby wasn't great by any means but saying Daisy was a good girlfriend and not self involved would be a stretch. She knows this guy well enough to know he would NOT like a 'glamping' trip but yet does that for him for his birthday anyway. Girl what're you doin???

But then if that's not stupid enough she falls in love with a stranger in a week *face palm* what? Okay, due to her personalty and again, being like a child maybe I could believe this...but for him to like her back??? Hard pass.

this was a new author for me. I really enjoyed this book. I had high hopes and was not disappointed. Really liked this book.

I read this very quickly, it was ok - nothing particularly wrong with it at all but I just think there could've been more to it.

I liked the premise of the book, I loved Daisy. I found it very predictable and it seemed so rushed, some of the characters annoyed me and I think that may have been what put me off.

Maybe it was just not the book for me that day. I would suggest people gave it a try for themselves.

This book had me hooked from the very start. I loved the main character of Daisy and the other characters felt just right. The setting of a campsite and the descriptions were good. This is a great, but easy book to read on holiday.

Unfortunately a bit slow and bland for my tastes - predictable and didn’t seem to have any real heart, which is a real shame. The many exclamation marks also got on my nerves.

Needs a good proof read to develop the characters more.

A sweet book with a lovely setting in the English countryside. Perfect summer reading. The characters were all very sweet, although Toby was obviously very shallow in the end. I would certainly recommend this book for summer holiday reading.

Ahhh what a delight this book!!!! I was in some kind of a reading slump right before reading "Summer Under the Stars" by Catherine Ferguson and the reading slump disappeared right away when I started reading it! This book is a real delight, it's so well written, the main character is really likeable and the place she is going on a glamping vacation with her boyfriend seems so lovely! All the people she meets there are all so interesting. I really liked the story around the search of her birth mother too. All in all this book is the perfect book for a summer reading. I give it a 5 stars out of 5!!!!!

I thought I was going to love this book, sadly, I could not even finish it. It was so slow. For me, I skimmed the whole book because I was so bored after I was 20 percent in.
