This book had very appealing illustrations and a story that matched. Thunderstorm about a car who is upset when her owners being home a dog. She does everything possible to get rid of the dog, but eventually realized he isn't so bad. This book greatly parallels with the experience kids have when a new sibling arrives and can help kids understand the transition.

Princess Puffybottom and Darryl is a cute story about the relationship between a cat and a dog. Much like our own pets Munchkin (cat) and Sadie (dog), Darryl and Princess Puffybottom have this curious relationship that follows the pattern of many popular cat/dog relationships portrayed today.

The illustrations are drawn in my favorite style, and I'm so happy to see characters of color featured in this book as well.

This is a fun book you can read at bedtime, naptime, or really any time in between. Your little ones will absolutely love this book.

This is a very cute story for children. It has beautiful illustrations that go with the story to grab the child's attention.. This would make a wonderful bedtime or cuddle time story. Thank you Penguin Random House Canada Tundra Book via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

Thank you to Penguin Random House Canada and Tundra Books for the opportunity to provide an honest review of this adorable children's book.

Princess Puffybottom....and Darryl was overall a nice story that teaches some valuable lessons. I also really liked how the household had two moms and brought a baby into the family. The illustrations were beautiful and I think brought the characters to light in the way the author intended.

I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't a little longer and that there wasn't a little more to the story. It isn't entirely original, but at the same time, my 18 month old (or any other young child that this book is for) didn't/won't care.

Princess Puffybottom...and Darryl is the story of a pampered cat who's world is turned upside down when her 'subjects' adopt a new friend, Darryl, a dog. This was a cute take on the cat and dog relationship with a twist. I didn't think the story line was all that unique but the Princess verbiage is fresh! I really enjoyed the illustrations. The colors were soft yet vibrant enough to interest kids and I a good representation of our world.

Thank you Penguin Random House, Tundra Books, and NetGalley for this book.

ARC COpy...Super cute and pretty book about accepting new arrivals no matter how...uncouth they are. Super antics from the cat and dog may remind people of their own pets.

Princess Puffybottom..... and Darryl by Susan Nielsen. 5 stars

I found this book charming and fun. I am not the right demographic for this book, but I loved the story and illustrations. Princess Puffybuttom and Darryl are very cute. This book would be very attractive to someone looking for a children's book. The story is engaging and it illustrates tolerance and acceptance.

Thank you Netgalley and Penguin for this ARC.

This is a cute story of the relationship between Princess Puffybottom and Darryl. Princess Puffybottom thought her fancy kitty life was just fine until one day her family brought a puppy home. She decides to do everything in her power to get her old life back, and get rid of Darryl.
I can totally relate to this story. It’s always chaos for a few days when a new pet is introduced at home, As much as I liked this story, I can only give it a four star because I was hoping for a bit more sassy cat and naughty puppy illustrations. The illustrations were good, but I feel as if they could have portrayed these naughty little pets a bit better to make it more entertaining.
Thank you to Penguin Random House and NetGalley for the chance to review this advanced copy. My opinions are my own.

Princess Puffybottom is a spoiled cat (aren't they all) who thinks she controls the house. Life, to her, was perfect with her two moms. Then he came. Darryl, a puppy, arrived and disrupted Princess' house and life. The puppy was suddenly the center of attention and nothing Princess did could change that - no matter how much she tried. Being a cat, Princess didn't know that more things were about to change in her house, and her moms were so busy they didn't see she was sad, but Darryl did. Maybe dogs aren't so bad after all.

Nielsen's story and Mueller's illustrations compliment each other quite well, and both were cute, but there just seemed to be something missing. The lovely picture book just didn't leave me with a lasting desire to read it again.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House - Tundra Books for the opportunity to read an advance reader copy.

Yep, that's cats. Princess Puffybottom rules! I've known dogs to be cowed by cats. My big guy terrifies a 7o lb family dog! Littles will enjoy this story. The illustrations didn't quite download properly to my Kindle, but what I was able to see looked wonderful! Not too detailed and the cat and dog were sweet!
