This is the 4th book in the "A Narwhal and Jelly Book" series. I do not believe I have read any of the others. It is a comic book that follows Narwhal and Jelly - a jelly fish - as they swim through the sea. In this particular book they meet up with an explorer that is an otter. The otter tells them about all of the adventures he has had with other animal and even a mermaid. Narwhal is impressed, but Jelly, not so much. I guess you could say Jelly was... jelly. So Jelly goes off to try and find a new friend since Narwhal is hanging out with the Otter. It turns out that Narwhal and Otter were looking for Jelly the whole time because it just isn't the same without Jelly on their adventure!

A cute story about how you don't have to have just one friend and adventures are more fun with all of your friends!

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated. This book will be released February 5, 2019 from Penguin Random House Canada.

Otter is a cute new friend for Narwhal and Jelly, and this book has the same silly sense of humor and fun adventures as the rest of the series. Jelly deals with jealousy, Otter shares stories of life as an explorer, and of course, there are waffles.

I love Narwhal and Jelly and this book does not disappoint. The humor is great, the characters are as charming as ever, and the illustrations are great. I love the use of facts about the animals mentioned in the book and how they are used to break the chapters apart. I would recommend this book, and the series, to just about anyone!

I love adorable illustrations, so it's no surprise that I've followed Narwhal and Jelly in their adventures from the beginning. Clanton's drawings and humour continue to be a delight and I specially loved that this instalment included facts about otters and jellyfish. Narwhal's Otter Friend was a fun-tastic read with otterly charming characters. It's full of water-ful puns too!

The latest installment of Ben Clanton's insanely adorable easy reader series. Prepare for some fun ottertainment, and a little bit of someone being Jelly. If you and yours have enjoyed the previous books in the series, or are looking for a great and fun emergent reader series check this one out!

As always, Narwhal and Jelly deliver another funny (and punny!) book. This series is popular with students and this one will be hard to keep on the shelf too. I will be recommending this one to be added to our school library.

This is a sweet children’s book about jelly and narwhal. Jelly and narwhal meet otter and learn about otter’s adventures. Jelly feels left out but learns about the importance of new and old friends. I like the fun otter facts and the few jellyfish facts. I wish there were narwhal facts as well but this is fourth in the series.

Another Narwhal and Jelly win! Jelly becomes jealous when Narwhal makes a new friend, Otter. Otter is so cool, and is ready for a tubular adventure - but how does Jelly fit in? Such a great series for readers who are transitioning out of early chapter books but still love the pictures and the cartoon style. Plus Narwhal and friends are too cute - this will be flying off the shelves!

This is one of the cutest books I've ever read.
The artwork is absolutely precious!

A jellyfish and a narwhal are best friends but when Narwhal meets a super cool otter, Jelly becomes worried about the status of the friendship.

Narwhal and Jelly are the best! In this adventure, they meet and befriend Otter and have totally otterly adventures (in the end). Jelly is jealous (or should I say, jelly??) of Narwhal and Otter's newfound friendship, but of course Narwhal won't do anything without his best friend in the whole wide world! I think it is a great topic for kids to read about as it happens to all of us at one time or another in childhood. And as always, the pun game is strong in this one!

Narwhal and Jelly are back, and they've been joined by an explorer: Otter. Jelly finds themselves getting a bit jealous of Otter and the attention that Narwhal is giving them, so Jelly goes in search of a new friend. I enjoyed the otter facts, and the story line. The jokes were maybe laid on a bit too heavily, but it was still an enjoyable experience.

Cute book featuring Narwhal and his best friend Jelly. The friends meet an otter and they have trouble making the relationship of three friends work without jealousy creeping in. A cute educational story with nice graphics. Sure to be enjoyed by young children!

This is very much what fans of this series have come to expect. The book is chunked into a few bite sized sections, but really so much fun most readers will want to gulp it down. It is very cute. I loved the facts about otters and jellyfish, but the main part of the story is really when two close friends are joined by a third. Sometimes it is tricky to figure it all out and deal with the potential for jealousy (or maybe jellyfishusy). This is a great addition to the series.

Fun and silly, as all Narwhal and Jelly books should be! I think this series is a great way to get reluctant readers to read, as well as for reading together.

Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Narwhal and Jelly are some of my favorite graphic novel characters, especially for newer readers. This installment of the Narwhal and Jelly doesn’t disappoint loyal fans. This time they are back and a new friend, Otter, enters the picture but not without some tension developing. Narwhal thinks Otter is great, and Jelly feels exactly the opposite and doesn’t believe Otters big stories of adventure. Jelly sets out to find a new friend.

Best quote that had me laughing out loud, “Egg tries to scramble out, but it’s too hard...”

I can’t wait to introduce new readers to this book and share it with Narwhal and Jelly fans.

Thank you to Tundra books and NetGalley for the advanced reading copy.

Narwhal meets a new friend Otty who loves to explore. While Otty tells them about his awesome adventures Jelly begins to feel left out and decides he can make new friends too. He tries to make new friends and decides to make friends with a rock who he names Rocky. However, when he introduces Rocky to Narwhal and Otty they begin talking about their space adventure that they are preparing for but of course not without Jelly.

This is another cute story in the Narwhal and Jelly series and makes a very quick read which will be good for children being read to by their parents or for older kids looking for a fun quick graphic novel. Overall a very fun story for kids of all ages to read.

As always these stories are a joy to read. They are the perfect length and format to bridge the picture book to chapter canal. This nine Jelly is jealous of Narwhals new friend Otter. Readers will have a pun tasting time with book 4 of this super fun series.
