You may recognize artist Leanne Shapton’s work for her whimsical book covers and contributions to T Magazine, but she’s also a gifted storyteller. With Guestbook, she uses a mix of words and imagery—watercolor paintings, found and staged photos with descriptive captions, and traditional short stories—to spin often-unsettling tales of bedside apparitions, imaginary friends, and other things that go bump in the night.
