I'm not really sure what to make of Gentle Sinner since the ARC was only the first four chapters. The story line and chemistry between the the main characters has me intrigued.

Update: I just finished reading the full book. Holy hotness batman Gentleman Sinner by Jodi Ellen Malpas has it all. This is one book that will have you hooked and up late reading. I'm upgrading my original 4 star review to 5 and putting the author on my "Must Read List"

I generally enjoy Jodie's books but this seemed more of the same. There was nothing here that hadn't been done before. A little disappointed.

I also ended up buying the book because I have enjoyed most of what JEM has written.

An interesting premise. This arc only included the first 2-3 chapters, so it's not possible to comment further on the story, but the character chemistry was intriguing enough to want to read more.

Such a teaser!

I just have to have the book after reading this teaser. I was so taken by these two, Izzy and Theo, most interesting and equally intriguing. So far, it's definitely promising, can't wait to read the whole book.

There are books that you enjoy, that you want to tell everyone about, that you realize you can't, as there are just too many spoilers, too many twists and turns, and too many things that would ruin the fun for another reader.

Izzy and Theo have twists and turns. There are secrets, lies, things that they don't want the other to know about, and things that they think the other won't understand.

This makes them perfect for one another.

The story is well constructed, and it flows well...without getting bogged down in the details of their secrets. The characters are compelling, and you want to get to know them.

Jodi Ellen Malpas takes characters you shouldn't like and makes them into characters you can forgive...even when they commit crimes in front of you. The strength of the construction of the story is that you like both of them, and that you want them to be together...while not wanting them to change.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I loved the first four chapters. I loved the idea of a mystery protecter. It was sexy with a little danger. I need to read the rest of the story so I can post my reviews.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I loved Izzy and Theo and this book!!!! I loved how Theo loved and protected Izzy the only way he knew how. This book gave me chills in certain places. I also love how obsessive he gets with her too. This was a great book and story line with amazing characters. I loved how Izzy loved him back and struggled with it given all she went through in her dark past. If your looking for two damaged people coming together and working through their issues, finding love along the way- this is your book!

EJM left me wanting to read the rest of the book.. Can't wait to read the rest of the story of Theo and Izzy. Two broken people found each other. This shows Love can help anyone and everyone

Can't wait to dive into the whole story and see what happens next

I have been wanting this book and getting to read this preview has just made me want it more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the entire book and see what Jodi Ellen Malpas has in store for us.

I enjoyed this preview to a certain extent - the characters are intriguing and there is palpable chemistry between the two. I don’t mind an overbearing and broken alpha hero, but Theo seemed to take things a little far and definitely felt a little stalkery (how did he even know it was time for her to leave work? Was he having her watched the whole time?), and he also didn’t seem to understand the word no. That said, the writing style was good and the story moved quickly. Personally, I will not be reading the full book but I’m sure fans of 50 Shades will love it.

Izzy White has put her dark and damaging past behind her and is now a hospital nurse. It’s the one place she has always felt safe. Theo Kane has a notorious reputation and most people are sacred of him, but not Izzy. She refuses to be bullied or scared of anyone again. When Izzy and Kane meet unexpectantly in a dark alley to help one of Theo’s girls, there is an immediate attraction on Kane’s part.

This book reminded me so much of Christian Grey and Gideon Cross as well as Ana Steel and Eva Tramell from the novels Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You respectively. In fact, it might have reminded me too much of those characters. As a Jodi Ellen Malpas fan I was torn on whether I loved this or not. It seemed to rush through the important parts where she could have drawn the story out and really delved into their pasts. This could have easily been a series. It is also very predictable, and no one seems to understand how birth control works! Or at least it never seems to work in these stories. On the other hand though, I couldn’t put it down because it was a great story, even if it has been done before. Izzy and Kane are a great match and sooth each other’s demons. There are also some great messages interwoven such as, “A man should protect a woman. Not hurt her. And a woman should feel safe with a man, not afraid. “

Overall, this is a can’t put down read, it just has a storyline that has been covered by many authors already.

It was a good sample, long enough to tease about the story and characters but short enough to left me wanting more, I might get the audiobook and finish it.

The teaser of the first 4 chapters Netgally kindly gave me was good enough to convince me to buy the book! Not that I needed a preview to buy the finishenìd product, I read anything that is written bY JEM! So proud of her!

I absolutly loved this story about Theo & Izzy. Both were two very broken souls that needed each other to make a whole. I had to download the rest of the book to see how it ended. Izzy is a beautiful nurse who had a troubled past and had to grow up quickly. Theo had his own issues growing up. These two were just meant to run into each other on the streets. Great supporting characters who really add to the story line. Thank you for the HEA and how the book wrapped up.

Though I was only privy to the first four chapters of the book. I cannot wait to get the complete novel!

I really enjoyed the other books by this author, and this one is set up to be very enjoyable as well, It starts out very strong, with a lot of action up front. I like that Izzy isn't just falling into Theo's arms, but I also want to know why she's resisting! I really want to read the rest of the story.

Seems like both Izzy and Theo have some secrets and I am dying to know hat they are!
