Once again i must offer my thanks to NetGalley for providing a Kindle copy of this book to read and honestly review.
This is a very entertaining well written book, cleverly weaving together numerous Well drawn fictional and real life characters around equally fictitious and real events in Israel's history, descriptive and beautifully brought to life in the page. Engaging and obviously well researched, in many ways reminiscent of Frederick Forsyth in its in depth details and facts. It is a story of bravery honesty honour love and loss there is action humour and sadness. The Lone Soldier of the title is almost superhuman and a superhero and role model to all he encounters, and modest to boot.
The author even succeeds in maintaining my interest through the early part of the book, which features the sport of basketball quite heavily and is one of the few sports about which I have absolutely no interest.
Recommended.

I have often wondered if the US wouldn't be more user friendly if we followed the example of Switzerland and Israel in requiring two years mandatory military service for our young people between high school and college. I am even more convinced of that since I read Dr. Rozmaryn's novel Lone Soldier. This is an excellent novel, covering the period of the early 1970's, full in the middle of the cold war and the effects of that on the security of Israel's sovereignty, and our nation's relationship with Israel.

I received a free electronic copy of this based on life events novel on December 18th, 2018 from Netgalley, Leo M. Rozmaryn, and Amazon in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all for sharing your hard work with me.
