I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I got this so I could help myself with my own way of thinking. I like that there are places to write and answering questions. It helped me organize my journal and my mind. I always use books like this for a couple of months before I give a review. This gives me time to see if anything works for me. I don't think just reading it is fair. I have to test a few things first and some of it did and it makes me feel better about the path I am taking. |
Filled with a lot of anecdotes, and personal experiences, this book feels more like a general self-help book, but not a workbook, and not in a style that I would enjoy. I prefer a more straight forward approach in non-fiction, and I did not get that here. That does not mean, that it might not work for someone else, but it surely did not resonate with me at all. |
This book is simply written but very deep. I don't think I was quite ready for some of this and will have to re-visit when I'm in a different place in my life. This book is easy to read, but will make you stop and think, and re-read. It will challenge you and provide you with tools toward a better self. I'm glad I read this, I know I can return at a later time and get even more out of it than I did the first time through. |
This self-help workbook gives exercises and examples of issue to help you will self exploration. I used a different journal in addition to this workbook to give myself room to really think through answers, and not my own thoughts. You can take this book as far or as light as you would like. Some issues didn't really apply to me, so I moved on to other questions that helped. If you are looking for a workbook to guide you through some paths that you haven't thought through yet, this is a great book to add to your library. |
Was not able to download for my Kindle. Tried several times and also to access online. Sorry, but was not able to review at this time. |
I have this book for my kindle and there are at times in the book that the font is so small that I can barely read it. The author has you dive deep within yourself to help you understand your inner child and your wounded self. I have learned a few steps that have helped me get in touch with my wounded self and begin to heal from within. If you have every heard of DBT or Mindfulness this book will seem like you are rereading or learning something you have already read or learned. |
The Inner Bonding Workbook isn't a work book in a traditional since. It is written in self help style; you will need your own journal for reflection. I really enjoyed seeing real examples and exercises to allow the reader to actually work on their bonding experience. I found the exercise in depth, relevel and helpful. While there are several things in the book I personally disagree with, it does not stop me from reading the material, taking in what can be helpful for me and make movements to change. |
