This book seriously captured me from the first couple of pages! I LITERALLY devoured this book in just 2 days and that is only because I had to work, feed my kid and pay attention to my husband. I loved the way it was written. I felt that the MC was fresh and although I felt embarrassed for her at times for her actions and the way her husband acts toward her and her reaction to it I still really enjoyed her as a MC and the “support” characters were amazing as well.

This stalker book is a good reason why you should always be careful what you post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!!! Be aware!! Once it is out there…..I also think the social media aspect of the book was a big draw since there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t dip into one of these platforms.

The book revolves around Taylor who has just moved and is lonely and wants to make friends, she sets herself up in situations where she meets people through “stalking” or is it researching? Ha! on social media and the ramifications of stalking, social media and people not being who they appear online leads to a very fast paced thriller! #hooked #lovethisbook

I really enjoyed this book! Lots of twists and turns and it held my interest and I could barely put it down til the end. The only thing that
bothered me was the story was told from the perspective of an American who had just moved to England, but "she" used all sorts of British terms rather than American terms. The British terminology would have been fine when
quoting the Brits, but Taylor should have been using Americanisms.

I was completely absorbed and enthralled by this book. I was so eager to get to end even as I didn't want it to end.

Very pregnant Taylor has just moved to London from the States after patching her marriage back together with her unfaithful husband, Jake. She is eager to connect with others and joins a book club and a walking group. She makes four different friends; Caroline, Anna, Simon and Sarah, all a little nuts in their own way and each perhaps harboring their own secrets.

Taylor tells the story but there is another POV as well, the voice of a deliciously sadistic stalker who is hellbent on ruining the life of one of the other five and uses social media like a weapon to do so. But we don't know who the stalker is and we don't know their target.

This was a fast, fun, heart thumping read and I just had to find out who and why...and I was happy to be so surprised when I finally did.

Thank you to Annabel Kantaria, Crooked Lane Books and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

What a thrilling ride! It really is one of those "unputdownable" novels - I read the entire book in two sittings.

The story revolves around Anna and Taylor, best friends, and their wierd social circle. There's Caroline, the rich, beautiful woman who they both love to hate. There's Sarah, the flirtatious one who seems out to steal Taylor's husband. And then there's Simon who has no life to speak of and cares for his housebound father.

And then there's the one who's watching - knowing their every move. Knowing their most intimate secrets.

I loved how the novel alternated between the current setting and the letters to be sent. This narrative keeps the reader engaged and guessing. Some of my assumptions about the characters turned out to be correct, but that was not a cause for disappointment. In fact, it just tied everything up nicely. The ending felt rushed though and that disappointed me.

It was an easy read, and definitely a psychological thriller I will recommend. And an author I would read again!

I absolutely loved this book and really got into the characters and the weird guy in the walking group. I hadn’t a clue what was going to happen but I wasn’t as thrilled with the second half but it’s still a great book . I would definitely recommend it

Love ×3 the book

The author pulls you into the story from the beginning to the end. I did not anticipate the ending due to the suspense being built up from the beginning. Do you really know the person on social media? The book (to me) expressed the pro and con of social media. That was an appreciated addition to the thrilling read.

Thank you netgalley!

A thriller suspense that captured my interest throughout the first half of the book. Multiple point of views from both the main character and the “stalker” the plot was decent until the end. It was a total wash and let down. I was hoping as it came to the ending it would be wam bam thank you ma’am. But it wasn’t. I can’t say I’d recommend it to thrill seekers but if you’re looking for an easy read this is the book for you.

“No, no, no!” the reader wants to yell, as Taylor makes decision after decision sinking her young life deeper into chaos! An excellent story with well-developed characters and surprising plot twists, I started reading just before a football playoff game. I’m now finished with the book, but I missed most of the game! Can’t wait to find more books by this author!

This riveting and unputdownable thriller was just what I needed to kick off my 2019! I SAW YOU is a fantastic book that will definitely make some people think twice about how they use social media and how the things you do online are not always private.

Taylor has recently moved abroad from the states with her husband, Jack. She is pregnant and lonely, obsessed with her social media because she doesn't have any friends in her new country. She quickly meets Anna (a fellow pregnant woman), Sarah (a neighbor), Caroline (Sarah's friend...they end up starting a book club with Taylor), and Simon (a strange but seemingly sweet man she meets on a group walk). As excited as she is about making new friends, there is something sinister going on that might put harm in the way of either Taylor or one of her friends.

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I spent the whole time liking some characters, then finding them hard to like and suspicious. There is a villain in the novel, but we don't know who it is. I went back and forth through all of the characters multiple times trying to guess who the culprit was. I was highly entertained, and the writing by Annabel Kantaria is both dark and serious, with bits of dark comedy thrown in. I actually chuckled a few times, which is always a nice surprise. I would highly recommend, and I will be reading more from Kantaria.

Thank you to NetGalley, Annabel Kantaria, and HQ publishing for an ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The pages flew by and I kept reading trying to finally find out what exactly happened to Taylor. There were minor irritations throughout-for example, Taylor was supposed to be an American from California. No, just no. She had all the affectations of a Brit-honestly you could not tell her voice was any different than the other characters who were all natives of England. In addition, there were a few unbelievable suspensions of belief and most of the characters (especially the husband Jake and two of the book club friends) were very unlikable. Still, I would recommend to lovers of suspense and the continuing trend of psychological thrillers where you just don't know which character to believe. The writing was strong and it was not boring at any time.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for a chance to read.

3.5 due to ending and loose ends

I liked this, it was highly entertaining. There were surprises and interesting characters. I loved the chapters from the “crazy” perspective if it doesn’t make you think about how much information we reveal about ourselves online then I don’t know what will...

The narrator is American, a California girl. She doesn’t speak like one. All of her slang is British which is odd - either make her a Brit or research and edit to make her more realistic sounding. Also, the affair angle was odd - it was a big issue throughout the story but it was never really explained. The big reveal wasn’t that much of a surprise but it was fun nonetheless. The story ends somewhat abruptly.

This is a quick read with short chapters. It wasn’t really anything new but it was quite enjoyable and a fun way to pass the day.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Crooked Lane Books for a copy in exchange for a review.

British author Annabel Kantaria has written what is sure to be one of the most talked about books of the year. I Know You is a suspense novel that features not only rich characters and a brilliant plot but also writing that catapults the reader into the action almost as if an active participant in what unfolds.

Taylor and Jake are an attractive young married couple, recently transplanted from sunny California to the grey skies of Jake’s hometown—Croydon, England. As the novel opens, it is revealed that the couple is in the UK seeking a fresh start after Taylor discovered that Jake was having an affair. England, however, isn’t all that the then pregnant Taylor thought it would be. Her husband is gone for long periods of time with his work, and she is bored, lonely and desperate for friends. She immerses herself in social media, recording and sharing every moment of her life in an effort to feel more connected. When she joins both a walking group and a book club, Taylor begins to build what she hopes will be lifelong relationships. Not all is as it seems, however, and she is about to learn that the old cliche “be careful what you wish for” is far more accurate a warning than she could have ever imagined.

The structure of the novel is that of a first person narrative, though it’s clear from the start that chapters alternate between at least two different perspectives. On one hand, Taylor tells the straight forward tale of what transpired during her pregnancy. She is, however, painted as perhaps an unreliable narrator, which adds to ever-building tension. The second narrator isn’t identified until the denouement, but the writing in those chapters is wicked, gritty and full of anger and resentment. The author moves fluidly between the two voices in an ebb and flow that rocks from comfort to unease and back again.

Within this unusual format, Kantaria develops her characters in a way that makes them easily believable, even if not particularly likable. Through their dialogue and actions we learn that they are all in some way flawed, which is perhaps why they are so engaging. There’s no doll-house facade here, as the true nature of each is portrayed, raw and uncensored. Taylor is obsessive, short tempered and needy. Jake is flirtatious, aloof and lacks self-awareness. Even the more minor characters are exposed as imperfect human beings who are sometimes victims of circumstance and other times just victims. It’s clear that Kantaria understands what makes people tick, and she moves forward manipulating that knowledge, making us squirm as we catch glimpses of ourselves.

My single complaint was in the fact that although Taylor is presented as an American, she uses British terminology and spelling. She calls her friends “mates”, a cooler becomes a “chiller” and in the narration “favorite” is spelled with a u. There are myriad examples of this throughout, and it is these oversights that kept this from being a five star read.

Overall, this is a wonderful book that gains momentum as it moves toward a finish that, while possibly predictable, is nonetheless exciting. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a suspenseful thriller that keeps the pages turning. Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for providing me with a copy of this for review!

I Know You by Anna Kantaria is a twisted and chilling domestic noir that I found nearly impossible to put down. This will not be the last of Ms Kantaria's novels to grace my bookshelf, of that I am certain. This novel is absolutely gripping.

Taylor, an American ex-pat living in London, serves as the novel's narrator and tells us very early on that "this is a story born of loneliness." Taylor is desperately trying to make human connections in London, and confesses that her only friends since moving overseas have been Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Joining a walking group Taylor quickly meets Anna and Simon, the former becoming a close confidante, and the latter a shadowy outcast lurking at the periphery of the narrative throughout. While Taylor is the primary narrator of the story, intermittent chapters reveal to us the voice of an unknown "stalker" who sees and knows all, and serves as an ominous presence.

At the crux of this story is the role that social media plays in our daily lives, and the author, essentially, offers a chilling reminder that someone, somewhere, is always watching, and that oversharing can sometimes lead to very sinister consequences.

I very much enjoyed the author's ability to keep me fully engaged throughout the story. I could not wait to turn the pages, and was kept guessing until the very end. This is a novel that will force you to think twice about your next post!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for this fabulous ARC.

I enjoyed this thriller, particularly the way it presents technology and social media, and the usual reaction we all have to the digital world.

We are all aware of the dangers of sharing too much information about ourselves in social media, and yet... we all seem to think that 'we' are safe. Once you read this book, maybe you'll understand that you are, most certainly, not.

Fast and absorbing, this is a book easy to read and recommended to all those who like thrillers.
