Interesting mystery that had me guessing about what the heck was going on. A woman wakes up on the train without a single memory of who she is or where she's going evolves into a story that has repressed memories as a strong story arc. There's a lot going on that doesn't make sense until more information becomes available. A couple good twists lead to major surprises and then the story becomes much more sinister.

The story seems to jump from one scene to the next in places that made it hard for me to follow in the beginning. There was some awkward wording with words that didn't belong in a few places. I attribute that to poor editing rather than the writing.. There is a sequel due out in the Spring of 2019. The working title is Proof of Life. It will be interesting to see where the series goes from here.I

I was grabbed immediately by the opening! A woman with amnesia grasps to find her identity. She has to depend on others and what she finds out along the way...

Eventually, her neighbor, Zach, sees her on the street and she is able to get into her apartment. There, she sees a work name tag that identifies her as Jenna Marcott. She works at BioNeutronics, a laboratory. Even though she has no recollection of this, she decides to go there to find out anything to regain her memory. But she does learn about a very secret endeavor at the company - Project 42.

Although she had an affair with the boss, Simon, she doesn't feel it. After all, to Jenna, he is a "stranger". Also, Simon's wife, Christine, is a US Senator who threw her hat into the Presidential ring. Oh, boy!

With the help of a psychologist, a handwriting expert and a cop, Jenna learns that she has a dual identity - Jessica Mack.

A number of twists unveil what is really going on and the thrills last until the last page.

Many Thanks to AIG Publishing and NetGalley for a great read!

I love books that star someone with amnesia the character is never a reliable narrator! Who knows the truth? Two IDs and no clue who you are? This makes for the best kind of page turner because you want to figure out who she is as well!

Wow! 5 stars!

You wake up on a train and don't know your name, how you got there, where you're going... No memories at all! Someone who apparently knows you drives you home and you find 2 IDs, 2 names : Jenna, Jessica. Which one is it? Why 2? Are you running from someone, from something? What happened? Then you find a note with an appointment with a shrink, you decide to go. You are told the last time you went there you said someone wanted to kill you! But who, why???
More and more questions, more fear. Little by little you find out more details...

I've never read a story about amnesia that good! I couldn't put it down! The story unfolds at a good pace.
Well written, captivating from page 1! I can't wait to read more!!!

Thank you NetGalley and Suspense Publishing for letting me read "What She Saw" by Sheila Lowe for an honest review. All opinions are my own!

She gradually regains consciousness. She is on a moving train. She doesn't remember how she got there, where she's going or who she is.
After disembarking from the train and wandering around, she hears someone calling a name. As she turns around she sees a somewhat older surfer dude. He's talking to her, calling her Jenna. Zack seems to know her and where she lives. Once she's in "her" apartment, she looks around and doesn't recognize anything. She does find a driver's license that says she's Jenna Marcott. Somehow the name doesn't quite fit or even sound familiar. She also finds an ID stating she works for a BioNeutronics Laboratory in Oxnard. Well, if she's going to remember anything she might as well start at work. What she figures out will send her on the race of a lifetime. Is she Jenna or Jessica, is she married, why does she have two different addresses?
If your looking for a book that takes you through chills and thrills, this is the one to read! Excellent characters and storyline. Kept me guessing!!

She wakes up on the train ... not knowing how she got there ... not knowing who she is. A woman .. no name... no memory... so who can she turn to when she doesn't know anyone?

Through fortunate incidence she gets to home ... but what she finds doesn't give her any answers. She finds a duplicate set of documents .... 2 different names and only one face .... the one she sees in the mirror. 2 cars ... 2 sets of keys.

She questions everything ... why should she need 2 names? Is she running from someone?

It's a harrowing ride to find her identity.. and why she feels like she is in danger.,, from whom? from what?

This is a well-written suspense with a few twists and turns along the way that keeps the reader engaged and riveted to the story.

Imagine waking up on a train and having no recollection of how you got there. The more you think, the more you realize that you don’t have any idea who you are…no name, no memories, no life. This is the situation you’re drawn into in What She Saw. A woman…no name, no memory, no life…only fear. By chance or fate, she runs into someone who knows her and gives her a ride home. At her home she finds two IDs, two sets of keys, one face…hers, but two separate lives!

A new twist on the familiar amnesia story, which are my favorite. This thriller is chock-full of juicy goodness. It was easy to identify with Jenna as she tried to discover who she was and what happened to her by pretending she knows. The appearance of old friends from the author's Claudia Rose mysteries add an extra touch too. I can't wait for the second book!

Thanks to #NetGalley for the ARC of #WhatSheSaw

A good story, but it didn’t connect with me to the depth that I’d hurry off to read another. I feel that Claudia was under-utilized in the story, and other characters didn’t make up for the loss

For the first 16 pages the leading character bounces around like a pinball from place to place, trying to figure out who she is and where she is. Then someone calls her by name and she meets a man she doesn’t recognize who offers to take her home to her place – it seems she lives in an apartment below him.

Sheila Lowe’s wordsmithing creates a heart stopping narrative as Jenna tries to bluff her way through work and an appointment with her therapist. Then she discovers
she has two identities: Jenna and/or Jessica complete with a driver’s license, an apartment and a car for each.

This riveting account follows Jenna, or Jessica, depending on where she is and who she’s with at the time, as she tries to sort out just who she really is and what happened to cause the amnesia she is experiencing.

The puzzle Ms. Lowe constructs is carefully filled, piece by piece as suspense builds. And finally, the picture emerges complete, much to the reader’s relief.
