Megan Harrison is the owner of Kinky Spurs. She’s mortgaged up to her eyeballs and works long days and nights, but she’s living life on her terms, not on her wealthy father’s. She’s done being in the cattle rancher’s shadow. She’s got it all figured out, except for the part that involves Nash Blackshaw. He’s a sexy as hell cowboy whose smile can easily charm her out of her tight jeans. The only problem is—their fathers were business rivals, and Megan and Nash have been taught to hate each other since birth. Nash Blackshaw, a retired professional bull rider, has responsibilities on top of responsibilities. With his PBR career over due to back injury, and his focus narrowed on heading up the Blackshaw Cattle Company’s Guest Ranch, he shouldn’t have time to think about all the ways he wants Megan. But it’s all he thinks of around the sassy and sweet woman. She might be forbidden to him, but Nash wants to take her for a hard, kinky ride. But small towns have a way of spreading gossip like wildfire, and not everyone is happy about their relationship. Especially when Megan drops a bombshell on Nash after one heated night between them. As much as Megan and Nash want to forget the old feud between their fathers and lose each other in explosive passion, they can’t escape reality. They are meant to be enemies, and Nash’s sizzling, dominant touch might not be enough to keep them together.
This was a pretty good story. I really felt for Megan and the problems she faced. I liked Nash a lot too. My only problem was that her father got away with a lot of crap. I look forward to reading more in this series.

My rating: 4-stars.

It really pains me to not be able to give this book the 5-stars I was hoping I could honestly give it. Honestly, I was left feeling underwhelmed.

In DTC and SLC there was some teasing of the sexual tension between the two main characters. Nash Blackshaw and Megan Harrison. However, I think doing that ended up hurting the overall book. All the built-up sexual tension between the two characters was nonexistent in this book. Maybe I'm spoiled but I love reading all the teasing and slow burn between the two main characters that want each other in the most physical ways.

Nash is the youngest of the Blackshaw brothers. He is quick tempered and it's a hot one. He is passionate. After suffering a career-ending injury he has lost himself and his way in life.

Megan owns and runs Kinky Spurs. The bar is her life. Megan's father is Clint Harrison. He and Nash basically hate each other.

Things happen to Nash and Megan. Things that change both of their lives.

Will the hatred between Nash and her father prevent Megan from getting closer to Nash? You'll have to read the book to find out. ;)

Now don't get me wrong I did enjoy reading the book and I think it's a good book. However, I think it lacked some of the burning hot chemistry that I believe was foreshadowed in both of the previous books.

If you like reading sweet and sensual romances with some suspense mixed in then the Kinky Spurs series is for you.

Megan and Nash may have sparks between them but their families have been enemies forever. Can the two take a chance on love or will their families feud stand in their way? Their story is a sweet and sexy read. It was nice to see the way Nash and Megan's relationship developed. As the two try to figure out just how their lives will fit together problems begin to occur at Nash's family ranch. Will whoever is doing the dirty deeds find a way to sabotage Nash and Megan's budding relationship? I loved Nash. He is a good man with a big heart and he is ready to do whatever Megan needs him to do. The two make a good couple. I enjoyed watching their relationship deepen and seeing the two fight for their love made for a nice read.

Wow, just Hard Riding Cowboy Wow!. Stacey Kennedy hits out of the park with this edition of Kinky Spurs and the story of Nash Blackshaw and Megan Harrison. They have played at each other since high school, but it only took one night of passion for them to realize that they couldn't stay away from one another.
Page-turning ever step of the way.

Nash Blackshaw, the youngest brother, is the last single Blackshaw standing. Megan Harrison, the owner of Kinky Spurs is also the daughter of the Blackshaw family’s rival. Megan and Nash seem to have a deep hatred of each other too. But it seems, Megan and Nash hooked up at Chase and Harper’s wedding, the youngest Blackshaw brother. Now…” the enemy of my enemy is my lover”
Circumstances bring them together again and they realize underneath all the denial, attraction still simmers between them beyond their recent hookup. Megan struggles to accept the discord between Nash and her father. An unknown source continues to prey and destroy the Blackshaw cattle ranch and Nash believes it Megan’s father – Clint Harrison.
Nash and Megan began a forbidden affair while hostilities continue between their families. The sex is smoking hot, the dialogue is amazing and the animals are cute. The pacing sags at times with the family feud and suspense elements, but overall the story is engrossing, loveable and funny.
Oh yeah, one more thing: What is up with all the cute animals and Blackshaw men. Kittens in a tool belt? Are you kidding me??? Its like a sugar coma, so sweet it rips your heart out and makes a happy dance. The story is worth the kitten tool belt. Let us know what you think about it.

Megan and Nash were never meant to be... according to there fathers. These two have been in lust with each other since they was kids. Too bad there fathers had bad blood between them.

Fast forward to her best friend and his brother getting married - they decide to give into there attraction for one night. At least, that is was Megan decides. Nash... he just wants her. But guess what? Sometimes life throws a wrench into your wants and changes everything.
Megan and Nash are now having a baby! Can they overcome the feud between Nash and her father???

I really enjoyed this one although I felt there were a few slow spots. Stick with it!
This is book 3 in the series. Can be read on its own with no issues though.

Megan and Nash's story. Part of a series, but can be easily read by itself. Enjoyed this one, and found it hard to put down. Megan owns and runs a bar, and Nash runs a guest ranch on his familys' place in Texas. He and Megan have always had an attraction, but finally gave in and had a wild night of passion. Natually, that one time turned out to start a new life, and then the sparks explode. Megan's dad and Nash's dad had a long running feud, and when Nash's dad died he took over the feud. Being pulled back and forth is enough to make Megan scream in frustration, and rightly so. Can the two men she love the most learn how to play nice? Highly recommend this fast and easy read.

This book picks up where the last one ends with the wedding of Nash brother and him being with Megan. The two of them have liked each other since way back in school, but the two families mainly the dads have always fought so they felt nothing could go on between them. Wanting to be a couple and finally take things public. The only problem she has is the constant fighting between Nash and her father every time they see one another. Trying to make a go of the ranch after their father passed, it seems every time they move forward something happens to push them two steps back. Nash always thinks that Megan’s father has something to do with all of the destruction that continues to take place. Now wanting peace for reasons only for her she gives them both an ultimatum to start getting along because she wants Nash in her life. Nash still working with the pain of losing his rodeo career does not want to lose Megan and somehow must find a way to not be angry around her father in order to be with her. This is a good story and I know the one that everyone has been waiting for. The author does a good job of bringing everything full circle.

Small town, ranchers/cowboys, one-night stand, surprise baby, feuding families, girl squad goals, interconnected standalone.

Fast-moving story with plenty of character insight along the way. Piles in action, drama, emotion, but doesn't overwhelm. Megan Harrison and Nash Blackshaw have explosive chemistry, in the best possible way. Unfortunately, the Harrisons and the Blackshaws historically have a relationship that could also be described as explosive, but in messy and destructive ways. With support from his brothers and her friends, Megan and Nash start to build something together, but sabotage at the Blackshaw Ranch puts everyone on edge.

I’ve read quite a few of Stacey Kennedy,s books, and have enjoyed them all, Hard Riding Cowboy is yet another one to add to the list. Love the Blackshaw brothers, Nash is a bit lost after his career ending bull riding injury, but that doesn’t stop him for going after his childhood crush, Megan. Megan ends up pregnant after their one night stand, but there’s trouble between Nash and Megan’s father, something that started between the two fathers when Nash’s dad was still alive. Loved Nashes ability to turn troubled horses into gentle giants, loved Gus, Bentley, and the kittens, adored the Blackshaw family dynamics. Didn’t care for Megan’s irrational expectation that everyone get along for the sake that her child growing up in a loving environment for its entire life, reality check definitely needed. Story was a bit long, but loved the ending.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

This was a good conclusion to the series. I will say the constant back and forth between Nash and her dad was almost annoying. I still don't totally understand the feud and am wondering if I missed something.

Hard-Riding Cowboy is book three in the Kinky Spurs series which follows the brothers of the Blackshaw family.
This is Nash's story. Nash thought his life ended when he suffered a career ending injury. When bull riding was no longer in his future, what could possibly make him feel the rush again? Little did he know how his life would change for the better when he returned home to recover.
Megan Harrison has spent her whole life in her hometown. And she's made a nice niche for herself with Kinky Spurs. Yet her world hasn't been complete without Nash. They've ignored the attraction for years but it comes to a head and the walls are about to come down.
The unexpected creates havoc, yet Nash and Megan are determined to stand together. When strange occurrences happen on the guest ranch will the old feud end their beginning before they really have a chance?

Hard-Riding Cowboy is the third (and final?) book in the Kinky Spurs series. After all the teasing in the previous two books, we got Megan and Nash's story, which had a Romeo and Juliet vibe (without the dying of course). There is hatred between the families and Nash relationship with Megan's father is not very civil. Poor Megan is stuck in the middle because on one hand she wants a future with Nash and on the other, she loves her father. So our couple has to deal with the bomb Megan dropped, their evolving relationship and the family dinner dynamics. They certainly have a lot on their plates.

Overall the book was good. Nash and Mega were likable characters and my heart went to her because she was trying to help the two men make peace. I loved how much we saw of each others family and that made the book even better in my opinion. It gave it a warmer feeling. I would not only recommend the book which can be read as stand-alone but the whole series.

With Nash and Megan story, the Kiky Spurs novels come to an end. As we see from the previous books Megan and Nash had some kind of cash game they play through the years. The feud fight from their fathers is the one that they can not enjoy or start a relationship but everything changes. Will Nash be a bigger man and will bury the ax with Megan father? After injury end Nash carrier as a bull rider, he falls in very dark place but Megan is there to lift him up and he finds new meaning in life to fight. The story is sweet we see how do they develop trough book to both become even better persons. We see also how the previous couples are and is really great end of a lovely trilogy.

Megan Harrison spends most of her time working hard to make her bar, Kinky Boots, a success. She's also always been secretly in love with retired bull-rider, Nash Blackshaw, for as long as she can remember. They finally get together for one night of passion and then the two part ways. Megan knows that they can never be happy together because her father and Nash have been in a never-ending feud over their land and property for years. Nash thinks he can make things work with Megan but his hate for her father is always the big issue between the two. A sweet story from a surprise angle makes this a four star read for me!

Hard-Riding Cowboy by Stacey Kennedy is a sexy & scorching hot read. The plot is engaging, the characters are easy to relate to with a flow to the book that is perfect.

Megan Harrison comes from wealth, she has never taken any monetary help from her family. She is a hard worker and likes to be financially independent. Megan has had a crushed on Nash for years. But nothing could come of the crush as their family has bad blood between them for years.

One night after a friends wedding, they gave into the passion and it was everything they both expected it would be. But unfortunate the bad blood between their two families put's major issues on it, and any possible relationship they could have.

The relationship journey between Megan & Nash is filled with so much emotion. The chemistry was hot and sexy, with real life situations most could relate to, to some degree. Overall this is a fantastic romance novel that I would highly recommend.
