Jami Gray “Caught In The Aftermath” was a action-packed romance novel filled a solid premise and characters that pull the story together. When I initially pick up this book I didn't realize it was already apart of a book series which was failed to be mentioned in the blurb/book description when I requested the story on NetGalley. Despite not reading the earlier editions of the series, I was able to persevere and enjoyed this great read. I will state that it would probably be better for any reader to read the earlier books to get a better sense of the characters and storyline line which I will definitely do in the immediate future. In addition, let's not ignore the elephant in the room and forget to mention that it took three days… Yes I said three days for the leads, Vex and Math, to fall in love and find their happily ever after (so yo speak). That was the only downside to the book but overall, I did enjoyed everything else about it and would definitely recommend the series. Fingers crossed we get a future edition on Reaper and Lilith’s relationship.

This was my first read by Jami Gray. It had a lot that I like- badass heroines who can take care of themselves, dystopian society and breakdown of culture, and some romance thrown in. The action sequences were exciting and the dialogue between characters was interesting.

The one suggestion I would have is to read books 1 and 2 first. Since I did not, I was out of the loop on most of the backstory. I would not suggest reading this as a stand-alone. Even though it did not end with a cliffhanger, there is definitely setup for the next story.

Caught in the Aftermath is a high energy romantic adventure set in a post-apocalyptic future. Fast paced and furious action separated by falling in love will leave you gasping. I absolutely loved it! This addition to the series is filled with surprises. This book will be better if you’ve read the earlier books but can be read standalone.

Definitely not my normal fare, I was nonetheless caught immediately up in the world of Math and Vex. LOVED it. I'm going to have to go back to read the prior two books to figure some things out, but make no mistake, the author crafted this so you do NOT have to read the others to thoroughly enjoy this one! Overall, and excellent read!
