Pretty standard baseball novel that might appeal to fans of Catherine Gilbert Murdock's Dairy Queen or books like The Game Can't Love You Back by Karole Cozzo. The aspect of the team as home/family was heartwarming, and the romance was sweet, but I wanted a bit more pointed commentary on the gender issues that were brought up (they were basically dropped with the idea that it was all about one jerk) and I wish that Ryan's actual familial situation had been a little more complicated than Dad=good, Mom=shallow/evil. I think that would have been better served by slowing down and rounding out the ending a bit better - the changes that each of her parents made could have been highlighted rather than basically skimmed through in the last few pages.. Overall, fine although not groundbreaking.

I absolutely loved this book and I don't generally care for contemporary. I thought about this book long after I finished the last page. Amazing slow burn romance. Amazing voice. Love!

This is a story about a minor league baseball family business that tells from a 17 years old girl. Her name is Ryan Rusell who is the owner's daugther of Buckley Beaver, name of their business league. She has a dream to be the youngest General Manager for the business, so she put her hard work to make her dream come true. She needs to assist athletes from the teams. Make sure they arrived safely, they do their course and anything else. One day, young famous athlete Sawyer Campbel shows up. The first time they met when Ryan have to pick him up from the airport something strange happened. He pukes on her. And this scene made me laugh out loud. Could not imagine when it happens to me, I will not as patient as Ryan handle the awkward.⁣

I received the E-Arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. If you're looking for a light novel to read about romance, sports and family business. You may catch this #StealingHome by Becky Wallace on July 9, 2019. It's fun reading even though this was the first time I've read Becky's works so you may not be boring while reading this book as well.⁣

A cute little feel-good romance with a sweet hero and inoffensive heroine. There was also a great friendship between the heroine and her best friend. Very low-angst - even less angst than Catching Jordan - so perfect for anyone who wants some YA fluff.

This book is everything I love in a YA contemporary! The banter between the characters, the swoon worthy male lead, the headstrong female character. It reminded me of those warm summer nights spent with friends!

Super sweet, highly engaging story with wonderful characters and great backstory to make it interesting. I liked this book from beginning to end. The characters had depth and the writing style was a breeze to read. Dialogue felt real and so did characters. Great HEA story with a different feel..

4.5 stars from me! I'm always a sucker for sports themed stories with slow burn romances. Sigh...this one was addicting. I think this book has my favorite "meet cute" (if you can call it cute!) that I've read in a long time. I loved the family dynamics, the baseball environment, the supporting characters, and the tension. I would have loved this to be a dual POV book where we get Campell's POV along side Ryan's. Overall a quick, enjoyable read.

This was just the right story at just the right time. It helped kick the winter blues, and brought me right back to summer. This was the perfect heart-swelling romance that will leave you with all of the feels.

I loved both Ryan and Sawyer. Their chemistry was intense, and although the story was pretty predictable (what YA romance isn’t?), I was here for it. This is a must-read summer read for any fan of YA love stories. Super cute, super easy read, that you just won’t be able to put down.

This was just what I needed after reading a darker fantasy novel! Ryan is on track to take over her family business and Sawyer is just the hot shot to throw a wrench in her plans. Their chemistry is very swoon-worthy and effortless. I enjoyed the overall story but just wished I got a better sense of the setting outside of the ballpark.

Ryan loves everything about running a baseball park. It's the family business and what she wants to do for a career. It takes a lot of work, but she's happy to do it - as long as she sticks to the no fraternization with ball players rule - everything should go great. What Ryan wasn't counting on was Sawyer Campbell - star player, seventeen, childhood friend? Although the sparks between them burn bright, both of them have career aspirations that could be derailed by a relationship. As they get to know one another, they will have to decide it touching the flame is worth getting burned.

I love Ryan - she's very focused for a seventeen year old girl and she has such a strong voice. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters are real - even the minor ones - and the book has such an emotional impact.

This was a quick, and fun read. This is my first Becky Wallace book, and it certainly won’t be my last. Her writing style is both captivating and unique and really pulled me in, as a reader.

Wallace’s characters, Ryan and Sawyer were so awesome together. The sweet chemistry that you instantly feel between their quirky characters is fantastic. It’s just enough to spark the romance between them, while not being crazy and wild. Definitely what I like to see in a young adult read.

Seeing Ryan and Sawyer work together to help Ryan’s dreams come true was another refreshing point to the story. I felt like I was right there with them, cheering from the side lines we call life.

If you like a young adult read that has just the right combination of fast paced reading, gripping characters, and sparks of romance, then this is definitely a 4 star book you don’t want to miss. This baseball read has me ready for summer to come and another amazing book from this talented author. Great job on hitting a home run with this fan, Ms. Wallace!

I have to say starting Stealing Home had me excited it was the perfect recipe for a great YA/Sports Romance but half way through it fizzled out. The romance aspect of it just wasn't there and I was disappointed. I think the idea was fantastic but I just hoped for more.

This was a cute read, but a bit unrealistic. I found it hard to believe that the two main characters were only 17 and not in their 20's. I think that was my main problem. I kept thinking 17 year olds wouldn't be doing this or that.

Besides that, the characters were all likable and the story was a fun Teen sports romance. Not anything really different or special, but still kept me entertained none the less.
