I read this and shared some of it with my husband who is an Architect. This was a great book! Very interesting and I enjoyed it.

Thank you, NetGalley!

livre intéressant sur le MoMa et l'art moderne / contemporain. Il est certain qu'avoir eu les images aurait aidé à apprécier cet ouvrage (ce livre étant un livre sur l'Art moderne et l'art contemporain).

Really enjoyed reading through this book. It definitely isn't something I would normally pick up off the shelf but since I've been doing a lot of critical reading into the design of theatres and stage design as a whole this book pricked my interest, given how similar architecture and set design can be. I found it very interesting to have the point of view being from that architecture side of design. I learnt a lot of things about the inspirations of certain design and the histories behind some wonderful building. From an aesthetic point of view, the black and white photography really does the book justice and draws focus to the structural design, the shapes and angles in which the brick layers are formed, or in some cases, the use of other materials. Definitely recommend this book to any who has an interest in design whether that be set, architecture or anything else, or even if you're interested in photography and art.

As an architect and lover of modern art I knew right away this book would be the perfect read for me. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the MoMA on many occasions. This book opened my eyes to the history and all that was involved in the development of MoMA. I have a much deeper appreciation. The pictures were lovely and I loved that many of my favorite architects were written about. I highly recommend this book!
