Leslie North has always been one of my favourite romance authors and this series of hers doesn’t disappoint at all. It’s captivating and likely will end up being re-read like all of her books. Totally recommend

“The Rancher’s Unexpected Baby” is the second story in Leslie North’s Brothers of Cooper Ranch series… and it is an emotional story full of mistakes, near misses and two people who have chemistry trying to forge a future together for more than the sake of the baby.

Max and Lena equally amused and frustrated me in their dealings with each other. The chemistry is off the charts, it’s obvious to an outsider that they belong together… but getting two stubborn, believe they are right and won’t give up control people on the same page in this new relationship is a truly interesting romance. I liked them both, even when they frustrated me with their decisions or actions.

If you’re in the mood for a steamy, at times frustrating, love story with secrets, chemistry, and some engaging secondary characters then you’ll love “The Rancher’s Unexpected Baby”.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This was by far my favourite in series so far. I loved the tale of Maxwell and Lena. The relationship was sweet and beautiful. I think the complemented each other very well. Once again the writing style is well done and engaging.

I received a free ARC copy for my honest opinion.

Maxwell AND Lena come face to face under rather awkward circumstances, he is trying to figure out why Dan hates him and trying to salvage what he can of his reputation after a rather unflattering article Reins magazine. Pregnant Lena is begging Dan not to figure her after she accidentally let an insider tip meant for Dan slip out while with Maxwell.
I loved the characters and I enjoyed Lena’s independence and her work ethic. Her owning up to her one mistake and trying to make up for it makes her more endearing. I truly enjoyed this book, it’s a quick easy read and.

It was an ok story for me. For one thing, I wasn't too fond of Lena. Her stubbornness and flightiness was a bit annoying. I saw no chemistry between her and Maxwell. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

The second book in the Brothers Of Cooper Ranch series, I like The Rancher’s Unexpected Baby. The character interaction was witty and emotional and the storyline enjoyable. I look forward to reading more

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I enjoyed the cute cowboy romance as Maxwell and Lena find themselves with a baby on the way.

I liked Maxwell until the sale of the horse and the Arabs, then he was just a jerk. I get that he wants to prove that he has done something in his life but that was just selfish.

Good thing that Lena is forgiving! Nice HEA, also. This is the second Cooper brother to find love, so I was wondering why we didn't see the couple from the first book in this series.

Second book in this series I have read - the story of Maxwell and Lena. She is expecting his baby so he wants to take care of her, but will she give him a chance?

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series but reads well as a stand alone. I couldn't really relate but enjoyed it anyway. I didn't quite get his lack of self esteem, why he had so little?! I give this 3.5 stars.

The second story in Leslie North’s Brothers of Cooper Ranch didn’t quite have the punch that I found in book one, and while I enjoyed The Rancher's Unexpected Baby, the story felt slower moving and a little repetitive in parts compared to other stories by Ms North. Maxwell and Lena's characters were OK, but they just didn't feel like they had the same connection, and Maxwell was far too self-absorbed. That said, it was an enjoyable story with a nice plot and likeable characters, if a little boring at times. Basically, this book is not up to Ms North’s usual standard, but still OK.

ENtertaining story. It was very fast paced and not too long. If you are looking for some light reading about cowboys then look no further.

Lena is a new horse trader and five months pregnant. When she accidentally gives away a hot tip, she gets fired. Maxwell owns Cooper’s Ranch and is wanting to sell to the Arabians. He hires Lena because she’s good at her job and it’s his baby she’s carrying. Maxwell has this notion that the sell must be made by him. When the Arabians don’t want Lena working on the deal, he leaves her out of it. But when a better deal comes through, because of Lena, he turns it down. Will he lose her and the baby to his own stupid actions?
Stubborn cowboy. Sex. And a surprise pregnancy. I know this is part two of this series but there was no mention of the other Cooper brothers. Lena is sweet and Maxwell is just slightly self centered.

A very pleasant and successful sequel to the first book in the series and I look forward to the next book. Maxwell Cooper has been expanding his horse stock in the hopes of making a sale to Arab princes who have shown an interest in his herd. This would add to his reputation in the field. Months ago, he spent an amazing night with Lena Fudge who has been learning the horse-trading business. Due to an unfortunate incident, Lena now finds herself without a job…and pregnant after her amazing night with Maxwell. Lena is a sassy and forthright young woman who has no plans to trap Maxwell, but when they run in to each other, Maxwell realizes that Lena is carrying his child and accepts full responsibility for her and the baby. Now this might sound like just another “he got her pregnant” romance, but there is so much more to the story as Lena plans to become a viable partner in his business as well as convince Maxwell that he doesn’t need business from the princes to cement his reputation as a champion breeder. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Maxwell Cooper and Lena Fudge met up 4 or 5 months ago and had an unforgettable night. Now Max finds out here is having a baby with Lena.

Interesting story written at a swift pace. Max is about to screw everything up for his own ego and must figure out how to win Lena over. Good story.

Down on the farm in the stables - Horses are being bidden on to travel to a new land. Lena and Maxwell work to make their relationship work with a baby on the way. Will Maxwell let his ego get in the way and loose it all? "A copy of this book was provided by Relay Publishing via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Lena and Maxwell's story was sweet, sexy, and a little fun too. I'm missing the family connection to the brothers which would have made this book more engaging. Maybe it's just my preference in connecting stories within a series. Lena was independent, but willing to give up a few things for their baby. Maxwell really wanted to do the best for Lena, while trying to prove his worth to himself.

The Rancher's Unexpected Baby, is book two in the Cooper Brothers series. It had nothing to do with book one, so I guess it's safe to say that you can read them out of order. I love hot cowboys. And Maxwell definitely fits that description.
