I received an Advanced Reader Copy from Fleming H. Revell Company and NetGalley for my unbiased opinion of the book. This story centers around Camden Grayson, father, son, and her two sisters. Camden is trying to please everyone from work to home and especially her son. She is failing and doesn't even know it. Her father purchases Three Sisters Island and turn into a resort. He’s hoping to bring the family closer as it once was before their mother died. Camden while juggling several balls in the air, one by one they all start to drop. She needs to find where she belongs and what is most important to her before losing it all. I really loved this book the family dynamics, I identified with all the sisters in some way. I revel in when a book grabs me in the beginning and doesn’t let go until it’s over as this one did. I eagerly anticipate the next book in the series. Suzanne keep up the great writing!!!

Received this from Net Galley and so glad I did! How does buying a island and putting your family there where they can't go anywhere to heal your family! Loved the people in the story and the struggles within the family to solve! Really enjoyed the book!

My Thoughts:
I have long loved Suzanne Woods Fisher for her Amish fiction. It’s sweet, it’s fun, the characters are engaging, and it’s a fast read. So I knew I wanted to try some of her other fiction works as well. I am not disappointed and know you won’t be either.

This new series is titled Three Sisters Island which is the English translation of the name of the island that the father, Paul Grayson, purchases. The island holds the camp where he met his late wife and it means the fulfillment of a dream they had. But it means so much more as well. He has high hopes of healing the relationships in his family with this island.

Cam has a job she loves, a son she adores, and way more drama than she cares for with her family. Is there any way it can just start to get better? Nope. Her father buys a remote island, her son’s school calls to say that they’re basically firing him for his behaviors and she is offered a trip to London for work.

How can she make it all work? Is she a failure as a mother? Can her sister be right and there is something wrong with her son? He seems just like a normal boy to her and apparently to the island schoolteacher as well.

Speaking of that island schoolteacher. There is just something about him that draws Cam in. And how did she not know her younger sister could make coffee like this? After all, coffee is life.

Besides agreeing that coffee is life, I definitely love watching the interactions between all the family members. And I can’t help thinking that there is so much more than I still want to learn. Like for instance what happened to Cam’s best friend and mother of her son? See that’s a spoiler there in that he’s not biologically Cam’s son, but hey I had to.

You see I love books that make adoption more commonplace and a part of everyone’s life as we have adopted. It is very hard to find books with positive spins on adoption. This book gets all the thumbs up from me.

ometimes love hurts--and sometimes it can heal in the most unexpected way.

Camden Grayson loves her challenging career, but the rest of her life could use some improvement. "Moving on" is Cam's mantra. But there's a difference, her two sisters insist, between one who moves on . . . and one who keeps moving.

Cam's full-throttle life skids to a stop when her father buys a remote island off the coast of Maine. Paul Grayson has a dream to breathe new life into the island--a dream that includes reuniting his estranged daughters. Certain Dad has lost his mind, the three sisters rush to the island. To Cam's surprise, the slow pace of island life appeals to her, along with the locals--and one in particular. Seth Walker, the scruffy island schoolteacher harbors more than a few surprises.

This book is different than a lot of books I've read. It's mainly about Cam and Seth and how they connect. Cam doesn't want to stop in any place too long. The only problem is that she is starting to enjoy the slow life on the island her father purchased. Seth is there to help pay off his college loans. But the island draws him in as well. There is also a very big surprise in the book that throws a monkey wrench in things.

I recommend this book for those who like an easy read.

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

This is another great book by this author. She has "jumped" to a different genre seamlessly, as I had rather suspected she might. I was swept away by this rich story of an island, and the people who suddenly own it. Paul has put his children and grandkids front and center with the restoration of the island and its buildings. One glitch, they are at odds with each other. I about cried as I've been going through somethings myself that only God can fix. Forgiveness was a super strong and well-crafted theme for this book. I liked all of the sisters and the other characters. I identified with more than one issue they were going through because life is just complicated! I was thrilled with the multiple points of view from each sister. This book left me happy, but wanting more in this series.

Suzanne Woods Fisher is well-known for her high quality Amish & historical books, so I was curious to see that her latest novel departs from this genre. Very relatable characters drew me straight into the story, & I knew by the first page or two that I was going to love it. My only criticism is that it finished too soon : I wanted to keep on reading. And reading. And reading.... This is surely the beginning of a new series, & I can’t wait for the next instalment!

This is book 1 in the Three Sisters Island series. It's a great introduction to Cam and her family. Her father Paul has decided to reunite the three girls in hopes of reviving the camp where he and his wife met. Cam rushes to the small island off the coast of Maine to see if her father Paul is crazy or just plain foolish. Her two sisters are not far behind. Much to Cam's surprise she love the island and is seriously considering making it her home. It will be up to Seth, the local school teacher to help her decide. Very much looking forward to book 2. Christian values without being too preachy. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A family learning how to live again after suffering a loss. Three sisters each trying to find the way to move on...to cope. A father who is trying to bring the family together.
I couldn't put the book down. As the book progressed you see the sister's growth and their acceptance of their differences.

The book is based in Maine. Lovely place. I visited Maine a few years ago. This story brought me back to that wonderful vacation. I highly recommend visiting. Maybe we can make a reservation at Camp Kicking Moose.

I received this free to review from Celebrate Lit.

Perfect book to start out your summer reading! This story starts out with a father buying an island summer camp. The camp has special memories of his deceased wife but has fallen into disrepair. Paul (the father) hopes the camp will bring his three daughters together once again.
This was the best read for me to usher in the summer season. The setting is an island off the coast of Maine and the description is perfect. I could almost smell the sweet balsam scent mingling in with the ocean's salt air.
Suzanne Woods Fisher has developed characters that make their way into your heart! From a handful of quirky islanders to Paul's sometimes misguided daughters, this novel takes you along for the ride. I am beyond thrilled that this is going to be a series! I truly am looking forward to book two.

Camden dad buys part of an island off the coast of Maine. He wants to make the island more presentable. More than that he wants to use it for a place for a kids camp. Will he be able to make it work?

They have quite a family. Camden has an adopted son from her best friend, then there are the other two sisters. I would have liked to have more from Cooper which was her son. Maybe there will be in future books.

Reading this book made me want to find out more about Maine. Would be nice to visit there someday.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit. I was not required to write a positive review. This is my own opinion.

Suzanne Woods Fisher is one of my must-read authors and after reading her latest novel, "On a Summer Tide," she would have become one if she had not already been! This is the start to a brand-new series, Three Sisters Island, and it is a contemporary romance series focusing on three estranged sisters and their father hoping to bring them back together.
Cam, Maddie and Blaine are called together at their childhood home as their father has something to tell them. None of the three sisters expected what the news was, that their childhood home has been sold and he has bought an island that has a camp where he and his late wife met. However, it needs much work and the island is on verge of bankruptcy. As the sisters are thrown other surprises and twists and turns in their own life, the three gather together on the island where life becomes even more unexpected. The three sisters meet the locals, and learn some things including a wise statement that is shared by Peg: "You either get better or bitter by what life throws you."
I really enjoyed this start to the series and am eager for book #2 to come out! These three sisters immediately drew me into their lives and I found myself laughing and hurting with them throughout the story. Their interactions are so real as families can be tough, can be messy, but in the end they are family and when people are involved, it can be messy and crazy, but also love and hope can shine through. And on a final note, I absolutely love this cover, so beautiful and a perfect depiction of the story.

I loved this book! A great read that is a cross between the Gilmore Girls and a Hallmark movie. Once you start reading you won't want to stop reading. This book is a page turner and you will hate to reach the end... you want it to keep going. After their mother dies, Camden Grayson and her two sister's have to assist their dad with a cottage he has purchased on a small island in Maine. The daughters are not positive with their dad's adventure and spend the summer on the island to change his mind. The adventure takes you on a summer story of how they meet locals, learn about each other and realize a new outlook on life.

I loved this story and can't wait for the next chapter. If you want a wonderful summer read, this is the book for you. You will not be able to stop reading this book and will be sad when you are done.

Three estranged sisters.. a dad desperate to reunite them... an island with the power to heal them all... On a Summer Tide reminds me greatly of a mystery romance that will keep you turning page after page to figure out just what will happen next. If you haven't read anything by Suzanne Woods Fisher, this is the perfect book to begin with.

Family dynamics can be very complicated. The dynamics of the Grayson family are no different. The family is somewhat dysfunctional. As is often the case, Mom was the one who held the family together while Dad worked long hours and traveled a lot. Now that Mom is gone and Dad cannot continue his career due to health issues, things are changing. Dad makes major decisions without consulting his daughters, Cam, Maddie, and Blaine which causes the daughters to question his sanity. The daughters are all jealous of some feature of each sister’s life which creates some interesting conversations. Meanwhile they are all trying to raise Cooper, the daughter of Cam’s best friend who died in a tragic fire which also claimed their mother and that Blaine witnessed.

Suzanne Fisher masterfully crafted the story line with many small conflicts which keep the story moving forward in a way to keep readers engaged. She also includes a couple of unexpected plot turns which may surprise some readers.

I appreciate how some of the characters exhibit a strong Christian faith and share that faith with those who do not have a strong faith. Readers will connect to the characters and want to read more when the book ends.

On a Summer Tide is book one in the Three Sisters Island series. I can’t wait to read the other titles in this series.

I would not hesitate to add On a Summer Tide to my K-12 Christian School library. It would be placed on the secondary side of the library.

I want to thank Celebrate Lit Tours for the complimentary copy of On a Summer Tide.

Cam, Maddie and Blaine are more apart than together. Their widowed father Paul sells the family home and buys a fixer upper former summer camp on an island. His hope is that the change in scenery and pace will bring them closer and make them all more content. The island includes some charming and not so charming characters.

Cam's story is the focus of On a Summer Tide, which is the first in a series. She is driven toward success and has a hard time to relating to those with different goals. It was lovely to see how the slower pace of island life altered her. I look forward to Maddie and Blaine's stories in the future novels.

This book was my first experience with this author, and I truly enjoyed her style and storytelling ability. As I finished this book I not only look forward to the next in this series, but to also read more books by her. She captured my attention right from the beginning and I felt like I had been transported to Maine right alongside the Grayson family. The story is told through multiple points of view from the various family members, however this flowed well and it was easy to follow.

Each character felt unique, the sisters may have their own lives going on and have issues to work through but they are forced to work together to help their father restore his new property. While they were reluctant to come to the island at first they discover more than they could imagine. In the end they are able to come together and achieve the common goal.

One of my favourite parts was the fight between the sisters that turned into an honest and heartfelt discussion. This moment helped them understand one another and made their relationship stronger in the end.

The romance was subtle but I enjoyed watching it build and found myself cheering for them. I look forward to reconnecting with these characters in future books.

Paul Greyson has called his three daughters to come listen to news about the future. Cam, Maddie and Blaine arrive, and find out their dad sold the house and bought part ownership of an island off the coast of Maine. He bought a rundown summer camp, where he had met the girls' mother, and also became 51% owner of the island at the same time. Really enjoyed this story, and liked how each of the girls (young women) grew and became stronger as the summer progressed. I have not read others by this author, but will eagerly look forward to more. Hard to put this one down, and one I highly recommend.

On A Summer Tide is the first book in a new series by one of my favorite authors. I relate to this story as I have two sisters. This book is very well written and believable. The setting comes to life on the pages and the characters will become friends. I will be waiting anxiously for the next installment. Thank you to netgalley and Revel for the gift of the arc. The opinions are solely my own.
