I have loved every single book in The Peachtree Bluff series, and The Southern Side of Paradise is no exception. Every book is focused on a different member of the family, and this one focuses on Emerson, the youngest daughter. While all of the books are special, this one is my favorite. Emerson is amazing. Her strength and personal goals make her really unique. The cast of additional characters is always fun, and I especially love her relationship with her sisters.

I am sad to see this series come to an end, but I can’t wait to see what Kristy Woodson Harvey comes up with next.

I loved this book and after finishing it, I went and got the first two books in the series. I enjoyed the characters and the story line.

The third in a series that I highly suggest starting at book one because you will be missing out on major character developments if you skip around in this series. With that said my review below could have spoilers, so beware to read ahead if you want to read this series from the beginning.

Three sisters have returned to a small town in Georgia to each put their lives back together for one reason or another. This third book centers around the youngest daughter, Emerson, who yearns to return to LA and keep working on her acting career, but a relationship from her past has returned and it may just keep her in Georgia and questioning her future. Her older sisters hope to help her find the right path for herself.

I knew going into this book that I was excited to read another installment with these women, the three sisters and their mother each have just the right level of drama to keep the book moving, but not too much to feel like a soap opera! Kristy Woodson Harvey's writing just flows with ease and each character seems distinct but still connected in just the right place.

I love this series and wouldn't mind another installment to keep track of the Murphy women and see where they go next.

In this final installment of The Peachtree Bluff series Kristy Woodson Harvey does a masterful job of weaving the storylines of heartbreak, secrets and love into a conclusion that satiates her readers. The story is compelling and the characters are charming, as with the other two in this series. I appreciate the thoughtful realistic interactions between the family members and the love that still shines through. These engaging characters are so captivating I hate to see this series end. I hope once Ms. Harvey explores new storylines and authors new books, she will return to Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy family for a reunion and more of their drama. Kristy Woodson Harvey is a rising star in southern fiction and I look forward to reading her future endeavors.

What a beautifully written 3rd book! I have loved the characters from Peachtree Bluff from the very first book. The 3 sisters, their love for one another and their growth as sisters and young ladies. I am so sad to see this series end. I felt like Kristy did an amazing job of tying up the lose ends and giving us a great ending or farewell from Peachtree Bluff!

In each of the books in this series—if you haven’t read the previous two, why not??—I see moments that mirror my own relationships with my two sisters. I even copied a paragraph and texted it to my sister’s because it meant so much to me while I was reading.

“Life is too short to fight with family,” she’d said. “Because no matter what happens between you, you will always come back to each other, like the tide returns to the shore. It is the same blood running through your veins. You were chosen to be together.”

I love the idea that my sisters and I were chosen to be together. Or that my daughters were chosen to be together. Sometimes life gets in the way, but we always do seem to find our way back together. And I thank Kristy Woodson Harvey for giving me this explanation.

Oh yeah, back to the review. It’s an excellent book. Reading it was like a reunion I’d been waiting for the past year since I’d read the first two. I loved revisiting the family and learning how their lives moved along toward their happily-for-nows—since I’m not sure it’s the last I’ll ever see of them.

Ahh what a bittersweet review this is for me, I’ve been a fan of this series since the beginning and have been both anxiously awaiting the third and final book but also dreading it, simply because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters that I have come to adore. In case you want to see me gush over the other books in this series here’s my reviews for Slightly South of Simple and The Secret to Southern Charm, all highly recommended by me!

Three books in and it’s finally Emerson’s time to shine! Each book focuses on one of the Murphy sisters and you also hear from their mom, Ansley in alternating chapters, so by this point these characters feel like family. I’ve loved watching their family dynamics shift over the course of the series, so much has changed for all of them since the first book and I feel like things have come full circle for each of the Murphy women as well.

There have been some family secrets lurking in the background all along and all the unanswered issues and questions are resolved here, and for me, everything came to a totally satisfying conclusion. These women have messy, complicated relationships, both with each other and also in their romantic relationships and things were handled in a way that felt true and genuine. As much as this whole series feels heartfelt this one took that to a whole new level, I teared up a few times, I laughed, I was surprised and most of all I closed this one feeling completely content and ready to say goodbye to Peachtree Bluff, even though it was with a tinge of sadness.

The Southern Side of Paradise in three words: Charming, Sincere and Entrancing.

Concluding the Peachtree Bluff series, The Southern Side of Paradise gives us all the closure that we need. In this book, the dialogue goes back and forth between Ansley and Emerson. The continued drama between Ansley and Jack carries through majority of the story, but there comes a point when Ansley needs to choose Jack over her daughters, and not the other way around like she has been since Jack came back into her life. As for Emerson, she is in a difficult place trying to decide if a future with Mark is what she really wants. Her Uncle Scott explains it perfectly, that her success would be his failure, and her failure would be his success. That is not how marriage works and Emerson slowly figures out that what she wants is to be an actor in LA and not to be tied down living in Peachtree.

I absolutely loved this series and really have nothing negative to say about it! The interactions between Ansley and her daughters was so natural and endearing and comical at times. Out of all the books, I would probably say this one, #3 was my least favorite, only that the drama between Ansley and Jack and their big secret was getting old. The song and dance of telling or not telling the girls about the truth of their biological father was getting exhausting. I was so happy when it all started to unravel. The truth will set you free!

This series was southern charm at its finest. I cannot wait to see what Kristy Woodson Harvey has lined up for her next novel.

You know that author that you just love to tell people about because not only do you love their books, but you also adore them as a person? Well, for me that's Kristy Woodson Harvey! She is just as cute and charming as you can imagine and if you've had a chance to read her books yet, you can definitely see her personality dripping off the pages. This is why I adore her books...this is why I jump at the opportunity to read and support her - she is good people, folks and she is truly a talented author. She will make you laugh and she will make you cry and by the time you finish one of her books, you will feel hope and compassion like no one else has made you feel.

I have to say I approached this book, this final book in the Peachtree Bluff trilogy, with mixed feelings. I was definitely delighted that we were finally going to get Emerson's story - as much as I have loved these three Murphy sisters, I think I loved Emerson the most! - and I wanted to see what was in store next for Ansley and Jack. But that all being said, I also approached this book with some trepidation...it is the last book and I didn't want this series to end. But I do love how Kristy ended it.

While this book can certainly be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the trilogy as a whole. These three books are meant to be read in order as there are threads that start in the first book and carry over until the final book. And the character development that happens throughout the series is top notch - Kristy really takes the time to develop her characters, allowing them to grow throughout the series.

The main theme in this latest installment is love - first loves, everlasting love, sibling love, parental love. We see each of these loves explored deftly in the relationships that Kristy has built. Relationships have always been at the heart of this series, and once again this is where the book shines. Not every relationship is perfect and we get to see the good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly come to light, but we also see the love that is there.

This book has all the feels - it will have you laughing one minute and then crying the next. It certainly takes you on an emotional roller coaster but I wouldn't have it any other way. I loved that even though this looks like a fluffy summer read, it takes on some deeper thinking issues without beating them over your head. It's definitely a story about love, but it's also a story about finding yourself in this world and learning to deal with the ups and downs in this thing called life!

I loved this series as a whole and I loved this latest installment - I think this one might even be my favorite. I definitely recommend picking these books up for some enjoyable summer reading and I cannot wait to see what comes next from my friend Kristy Woodson Harvey!!!

This is the third in the series about the beautiful women of Peachtree Bluff. I love these characters! Their successes, disasters and everything in between has become a part of my reading life. I can't wait for book four.

WOW!  I loved everything in "The Southern Side of Paradise " by Kristy Woodson Harvey.  I especially love the colorful cast of characters and vivid description of the landscape, written by Kristy Woodson Harvey. This is a novel that is entertaining, intense, captivating, romantic, enthralling, heartwarming and emotional. The Genres for this Novel are Domestic Fiction, Southern Fiction, Women's Fiction and Fiction with a dash of Romance and Suspense. The author describes her characters as complex, complicated, and confused, each having their own set of problems. This is the third and last book of the Peachtree Bluff Series, and is enhanced by reading the first two books, but can be a stand alone.

This is a continuing story of family, friends, secrets,  and surprises. Not all surprises tend to be good surprises.  This is a story of sisterhood, mothers and daughters, and love, emotional support, and hope. The landscape of the sand and water adds flavor to the story.

Ansley Murphy and her three daughters, and family have conquered many problems together. Yet Ansley has a feeling that something major is going to happen. Her daughter Emerson has major decisions to make that will impact on her livelihood or her romance. Deep family secrets unravel, and things might never be the same.

I love the way the author discusses forgiveness, second chances, and honesty.  I loved the Murphy family, and I do admit having to use some Kleenex. I hope that Kristy Woodson Harvey will bring the characters back for more adventures. Pretty, please!!!!!!

I would highly recommend this delightful, thought-provoking novel! Happy Reading!!

I have to admit this was a bit of a disappointing ending after reading and loving the first two books in this series. I still think the setting is great and the characters are so well developed but this one felt a bit lacking in moving the story forward and instead was riddled with over the top and unnecessary drama. I think it could have benefitted from some editing and time. That said, I do like this series a lot and will definitely read anything in the future from this author!!

Whenever i was fortunate enough to receive this book, I was unaware that it was the last in a series. Although some people have reviewed that it is great as a stand alone book , I felt like Inreally needed to have read the two previous books in order to get full enjoyment out of this book. That isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy it, I really did. As I am a mom with daughters myself, I reallynidentified with Ansley so many times (not all, thankfully) The characters felt very real and I enjoyed spending the time with them in this well written book, now I think i will go back and get better acquainted by reading the first two!

I really enjoyed this book. Peachtree Bluff seems like a great little town and the story really sucks you in. I didn't realize until later in the book that this was a series, so it can definitely be read as a standalone!.

Third in a series of books, you could still read this on its own. I’ve enjoyed following these women and their trials and tribulations as well as their joys. Ultimately, I’ve loved seeing how they support one another and enjoyed their authentic relationships as well as their growth.

I was hooked on this series from Book 1. I am happy with the way it ended. I especially like the two person story telling. I had met the author at a book tour tea in North Carolina. I liked her and see some of her traits in the book.
Ansley has been carrying secrets from her daughter's and they are about to come out. Through three books each featuring a different daughter, a bit more of Ansley's last is revealed. This final book brings it all to a conclusion.
The four women seem a bit too perfect at times, but don't we all wish that could be us? A nice book to pass about with on a summer day.

What a beautiful ending to a great series! This book is told by the third Murphy sister, Emerson, and the matriarch, Ansley. The Southern Side of Paradise is a great read for not just the beach, but anytime. We pick up right where the second book left off, which is something I love about this series. You never have to fill in the blanks between books because there are none. Harvey makes you care about the characters and what happens to them. I want to be part of this family! I loved seeing the dynamics of all the relationships and how some of them changed after secrets were revealed. My only complaint for this book is that the series is over now. I've grown to love these characters and I'm so sad to say goodbye to them.

Kristy Woodson Harvey fans rejoice. Her is book 3 in the Peachtree Bluff series and it's a wonderful wrap up of the Murphy women. This book combines Mom, Ainsley and youngest sister Emerson's romances with 3 very wonderful men. Ainsley and Jack were high school sweethearts and have been friends ever since book 1, Slightly South of simple and book 2 The secret to Southern Charm. History seems to be repeating itself as Emerson is back with old boyfriend Mark planning her wedding. Sloan and Caroline are also very active in this final book from Peachtree, Georgia. I would highly recommend reading the 2 previous stories before this. They are both fantastic and make this book so wonderful. A perfect story ending but would love to go back and visit again with some of the minor characters. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The third and final installment of the Peachtree Bluff series, The Southern Side of Paradise was a delightful end to a charming series. This book alternates between Ansley and her youngest daughter, Emerson. Readers dive into complicated, and at times heart-wrenching, family dynamics as secrets come out and people from the past come out of the woodwork. Woodson Harvey’s characters are authentic, lovable, and flawed with Ansley and each of the Murphy girls bringing a loving, and yet complicated, familial bond to life in this charming southern setting. I found myself laughing with the women and also frustrated by their decisions. Truly, the characters felt like a real family which was delightful, if a bit maddening as families often are.

What I loved most about this series, was Woodson Harvey’s talent for bringing the setting to life. Though I haven’t spent time in that part of the south, the writing was rich and descriptive and allowed my imagination to take flight. This was a lovely end to the series. I am looking forward to seeing what Kristy Woodson Harvey cooks up next!

This book was the last story in a set about 3 daughters (Caroline, Emerson, and Sloane) and their mother Ansley. Ansley is in love with Jack, a long time friend of the family. He happens to play more of a role as the story progresses. Emerson gets engaged to a long-term resident of the community, despite her dreams to be a famous actress in LA. Caroline has a cheating husband in the industry who is barely mentioned. Sloane has a recovering war hero husband, also hardly mentioned. Over the course of the book, Emerson's wedding falls apart, Ansley plans her wedding, among other surprises.

This book was incredibly difficult to read. The language was simple. The dialogue was very basic. It was very predictable. I felt myself rolling my eyes at several of the character lines. It took me a long time to even differentiate the characters. There were a lot of plot threads and none of them were super in depth. It felt like a soap opera, not a book. I would be welcome to reviewing future works, but I believe that this series was just not something that was meant to draw me.
