Ryder and Frannie with capture the reader's attention from the first page . Good tale of romance, suspense, and danger. Second book in the Delta Squad. Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Although vaguely formulaic, Ryder is an entertaining read.

Frannie is a domestic violence victim, hiding from her extremely wealthy husband. Thorn Ryder, a former Navy seal, has been assigned to protect her. In the meantime, Frannie's abusive husband is hiding from law enforcement, and his whereabouts are unknown.

Frannie is hiding a secret, and isn't inclined to trust Ryder. Ryder, on the other hand, is determined to protect her. Sparks fly as trust is built and the two become a team.

The characters, with the exception of the evil ex-husband, are very likeable, and the story entertaining enough to keep me turning pages until I finished the book in one sitting.

I would highly recommend this title to all romance fans.

In the interest of full disclosure, I received a free digital copy of this title to review from Net Galley.

With a series blurb like this I had anticipated an action-packed suspense romance novel and this unfortunately failed to meet my expectations. Generally speaking it wasn't a bad read and I did passably enjoyed it. It could've just been better. Besides the plot that was passable, the characters left much to be desired. I didn't sense a real connection between them besides sexual and obviously feelings caught on quick which was a disappointment. Ultimately I had decided to drop this series since it stopped peaking my interest and will place it in my maybe-definitely pile for the unforeseen future.

Thoroughly enjoy this series by Diana Gardin. The elite Night Eagle Security Team, doesn't disappoint. Navy Seal"White Wolf" Ryder is tasked with protecting Frannie an ER nurse on the run from an abusive husband who is also an international criminal.. Well written. Looking forward to the next one in the series

This is an intense story with an almost insta-love connection between Franny and Ryder. There were parts of the story that leave you questioning how could that happen but then remember that this is fictional and anything can happen. Franny is hiding a major secret from everyone so she feels she has more to lose if her husband should find her. There is just so much about Ryder that I wanted his character to be, if he is a former Seal then I thought he would have been more badass or alpha especially towards the end of the book. He didn’t seem like the bodyguard type in this story, just wasn’t feeling it.

My personal opinion is this needs to be read after Lawson. There is so much background information leading up to this one. I started this then went back and read the first one. What is it about these ex-military protectors? Good strong storyline. Strong characters. It was a page turner that I pretty much read in one sitting. Now I need to read about Bain and Lilianna.

This book was gifted to me by the publisher in return for an honest review.

Touching and Intense!!!! Wow

This was such a well written book that kept you on the edge of your seat the entire time! Already a fan on Ms. Gardin’s writing my expectations were high especially after reading Lawson book 1 in the series.
In the second book in The DEALTA SQUAD series the intensity starts right from the Prologue.

"The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments."

Authors Blurb: I'm a Navy SEAL and a member of the elite Night Eagle Security team, so you better believe I take every one of my missions seriously. But this one is different. I'm protecting Frannie - she's beautiful, fiercely independent, and on the run from her criminal ex-husband. I know he's dangerous, that he'll do anything to get Frannie back. But there's no way I'll ever let that happen...
Trouble is, I can tell Frannie is hiding something from me. Something big. Since she barely got away from her ex alive, I understand that she's wary, but I can't help her if she doesn't let me in. And no matter how badly I want a future with her, I swore I'd never allow myself to be with someone who doesn't trust me. But when Frannie's secret comes out, I have to decide whether her betrayal is enough to make me walk away...or if I'll protect the woman I love no matter the cost.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I'm going with 3.75 stars. While I've enjoyed this series, and I liked Ryder very much, I just didn't love Frannie. She grew on me after a while, but I felt like she after selfishly oftentimes and put not only her safety at risk, but also the safety of others and even Ryder's job security. My only other issue is just the abundance of cheesy names. While they didn't affect the personality of the characters, they did pull me out of the story at times. On a positive note, the chemistry between Ryder and Frannie was perfect, and there was plenty of suspense and a bit of action to make this interesting and fairly fast paced.

I received an ARC from Net Galley.

I liked another title (“Just Like Breathing”), by Diana Gardin, but this was a disappointment. The author tackles serious matters – for example, domestic violence – and that’s remarkable, but the instant attraction and sex – lots, lots of sex – between a bodyguard and his client like it is the most natural thing in the world, the overuse of telling, the first-person dual POV with its usual propensity for dramatic and cheesy utterances and proclamations aren’t among my favorite dimensions in fiction.
I also didn’t think Ryder was that efficient or convincing as a bodyguard/former SEAL or Frannie very smart (hiding her secret in such conditions seemed a bit stupid).

Love this book for so many reasons, one of the main being how strong and determined the main female character was to survive.

The beginning might seem a little bland but stick to it!.

Thorn Ryder has retired from the SEAL’s and joined the Night Eagle Security team. When he is assigned to protect Frannie Phillips, he feels as if he will be babysitting instead of actual security duty. He is soon disabused of that notion as Frannie has an out of control, abusive husband who wants her back. When she was Francesca Ward, married to Eli, she thought her dreams had come true…until the first time he hit her. After a particularly brutal beating, she calls 911 and removes herself, and their unborn child, from his life. As Thorn gets to know Frannie, who is an emergency room nurse, he begins to fall in love with this strong and capable woman. Her husband is on the run as he is being investigated for various crimes, but he still is looking for her. Frannie has secrets that she has not told Thorn. What is she hiding? Domestic violence is an extremely difficult topic for a romantic suspense story, but Ms. Gardin handles the story with hope for the victim, to get away from the abuser and to claim a better life. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Loved this action packed romantic suspense which is the second book in the Delta Squad series. Ryder Thorn just made me sigh with all his yumminess! His current assignment for Night Eagle Security is as a bodyguard to Frannie. Her abusive, criminal husband is determined to find her and bring her back home. He'll do anything to find her. Ryder's sole job is to prevent that from happening. Two problems. First, he knows Frannie is keeping something from him. Second, he is deeply attracted to the woman. When they finally give in to the passion Ryder knows after just one night that he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Job or not. Will her secrets tear them apart??

I have to say I hated the hole that was left when the story jumped from the prologue to the present. I thought for sure I had missed something. Nope, that's how the author designed it and as I read the story and the situation unfolded I was glad for it. She hooked me with that prologue and I had to know what happened! Kudos Ms. Gardin. I highly recommend this book.

Ryder by Diana Gardin is book Two in the Delta Squad Series. This is the story of Ryder and Frannie. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Ryder who is a part of the Night Eagle Security team who has been tasked to protect Frannie who is running from her evil husband. Ryder who is all about work isn't on board for this assignment until he lays eyes on Frannie...there is something about her that draws him in. But he is learning that Frannie is hiding something...so besides protecting her he needs to find out her secrets.
Exciting read.

Title: Ryder
Original Rating: Three and A Half Stars
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Author: Diana Gardin
Publication: Forever (Grand Central Publishing)

Disclaimer: I received a free Advance Review Copy in exchange for an honest review. I thank Forever Yours, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC. Also, the free ARC hasn't influenced my review at all..

It's a hot-as-lava read which has the potential to set the unmentionables on fire. It has the right mix of drama and plot moves at just the right pace.

Frannie is a girl in her mid-twenties who has been in an abusive relationship with her husband who happens to be a criminal. Used be him as a punching bag for years, she's been through hell and back but still he's still roaming free and that means, she is still in danger.
Enters Thorn Ryder, Ex-Navy Seal and now a member of the elite Night Eagle Security team, he'd do everything to make sure that she's protected.

"But there’s so much more to my story than Eli Ward. So much more."

This Navy SEAL is putting his life - and heart - on the line to protect a woman on the run, but her dangerous secret threatens to destroy them both in this high-octane novel that proves.

In the time those two are hiding-in inside a safe house, the sparks ignite. Eventually those two give in to the chemistry they both are feeling.

"Kindness in a man right now just might break me, or draw me in. And I can’t afford either one."

The plots takes turns and we come to know both have baggage and secrets. But in the end, love overcomes all, doesn't it?

“I’m tough on my own, Ryder… but I think I’m even stronger with you.”

Read this sexy as heck novel by Diana Gardin which is part two of the instalment but can be read as a standalone too. It comes out tomorrow i.e. February 12th..

Happy Reading 💟💟

A big thank you to NetGalley and Forever Yours for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series but reads well as a stand alone. This is the first book in this series that I have read. I liked the book. I thought Frankie was amazing! She had a horrible experience but was resilient! Lots of twists and turns. Crazy ex! I enjoyed the story. I think most Romance readers would enjoy. I give it 3.5 stars.
