Very nice story. Great illustrations. Read this with my grandchildren ages 4 & 6. The six year old read the book to us. The next time the 4 year old made up the story by looking at the pictures. I know we will read again.

This is a really cute story. Cute, colorful illustrations. Helpful, kind characters. Lots of different types of animals all getting along and working together. And a happy ending. Any toddler would love this story.

This is a great book to read to children!

I loved this book about a mouse who finds a fancy car but doesn’t know who it belongs to. He meets other animals along the way that join him in his search. There is a surprise ending when they return a hat they see blowing in the wind.

I thought the illustrations were wonderful. They are bright and fun. The animals are cute and the background colorful and not overdone.

The dialogue is to the point. It tells about animals helping others with their dilemma.

My 2 year old enjoyed the animals and the car. I personally found it a little confusing and choppy but my son loved it!

Great illustrations with vibrant colors and fun animals. Perfect for toddlers with great messages about giving things back to their owners and about how sharing is more fun.

This is a great book for young children, with colourful pictures. I read this book to my young grandson and he decided that the car belonged to me. Just because my car is red!

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy.

Very simple story with simple illustrations. Good book for a toddler with a message about finding the owner of something you find that's not yours. Also a message that sharing is better than keeping something all to yourself.

This sweet book was authored by the award-winning author of "Everyone is Yawning" Anita Bijsterbosch. This fun, simple story is about a little mouse who finds an abandoned car at the side of the road. Is it abandoned or lost he wonders? He takes it upon himself to find its rightful owner.

His curious animal friends join in the hunt to once again reinstate the car with its possessor. Whoever could be missing their car? Can the animal detectives solve the mystery?

This story is about owning, perseverance, friendship and sharing. The illustrations are clear, uncluttered and vibrant which will appeal to that targeted age group. This positive story teaches to never give up and that kindness reaps its rewards. I highly recommend this book.

What a Nice Car! is a fun children's book that my 3 year old and 5 year old both enjoyed and wanted me to re-read to them multiple times. The beautiful illustrations added to the wonderful message in the story of friendship and not giving up. Children are introduced to various animals that they should be familiar with in the story, which makes it more entertaining for them. I recommend this book for toddlers and children in preschool and kindergarten to enjoy with their parents.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Clavis Publishing through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

I love that there are discussion questions at the end for the reader to think about. For me, this story was too similar to many others that are already on the market. It had me thinking about other books that I have read similar to this, rather than focusing on a new concept of a children's story.

Mouse finds a car, drives around picking up friends while trying to find the car owner. I don't think the illustrations are bad and I think the bright colors are nice. I just don't like the story. Its too short and I didn't see the point. Mouse is driving around someone else's car, does he own a car himself? If he doesn't I'm very confused to why he's sporting an old time driving hat with goggles. I also don't know how a Mouse and an Elephant fit in and drive the same car. Why do the friends just awkwardly sit in the car when Mouse finds elephant? They were so keen to jump in but have no dialog in the discovery of the owner? Completely missed the mark for myself and my toddler.

A mouse supposedly “finds” a car and takes off in it to find the owner. Along the way he meets up with a zoo’s worth of different animals, all of whom join him in this supposedly honorable quest.
There’s no mention that the best place to find a car’s owner is right where the car was found. The owner’s probably wondering what happened to it as they drive it further and further away.
The text is the same for every page, which no doubt works for a kid learning to read but will likely bore everyone else. Surprisingly, everyone lives happily ever after, watching the sunset.
The artwork looks a lot more minimal than most.
2.5 pushed up to 3/5

This is a simple, nicely illustrated picture book for young listeners. In it, Mouse is driving in a car that he has found. He picks up several friends along the way and they look for the car's owner. Meanwhile, mouse's hat blows off and is found by elephant whose car it is. All of the animals together then go for a ride.

This book emphasizes sharing and the niceness of doing things for others. While it has nothing unique to say, it is a fine book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. The opinions are my own.

This was a cute story of Mouse finding a car and trying to track down its owner while picking up a menagerie of new animal friends along the way. The illustrations are delightful, with bright bold colors and very pleasant characterizations.

But there was something about the simplicity of the text that just didn't do it for me - like just the first page confused me a bit because while it states that Mouse found a car, the illustration already shows him driving it like it is his? And I also felt the ending left something to be desired too, but it is hard to put my finger on what exactly it needs.
