OMG this was so hot hot hot!! Definitely swooning for oldest Bennett brother Mark!

Mark is the oldest Bennett brother who shoulders all the responsibility for running the Bennett ranch after his father dies, allowing his two younger brothers to pursue their own interests. After letting his inner desires get away from him once with a woman who then rejected him, he has remained closed off to the thought of relationships. That's until Katelyn comes to town to work as an events planner and they literally bump into each other when Mark goes to the hotel to pay for his brother's wedding.

Katelyn has lived what she calls a "beige" life for the past ten years but meeting Mark makes her life explode into a kaleidoscope of colour the problem is how can she get him to open up to her.

An awesome story of passion, romance and love, which shows how the right two people can bring the best out of each other. Dont miss this one it is definitely one of Lauren's best!

This book has it all! A stand alone book in the series, but does help if you have read Buck Wild first. I love that we still get to see Sophie and James from the first book, but we get a deeper look at Mark! Mark has so many deeper emotions that he keeps locked down, it hurts your heart for him! Katelyn helps him break those chains and build the man he should be! When someone hides who they are, others cannot get to the core of the amazing person they are. I loved this book and would definitely suggest it to others!

This is one wonderful Series about 3 brothers who each have their own journey with love and all it takes to find their own happiness. This is the 2nd story in The Bennett Boys Ranch. This one is about Mark and he is the oldest brother with the entire families responsibility on his shoulders along with running the ranch since the passing of their father. Mark was born to be in charge and is a natural but never allows himself time for dating as his past has scared him in thinking he could ever really find love again. Katelyn moves to Great Falls with her job as the event planner at the high end resort and is extremely happy to have a fresh start in a new place. James and Sophie are getting married and are from the 1st story. Mark and his Mama have agreed the Bennet family will be paying for the wedding and when Mark goes to make the payment he steam rolls Katelyn catching her in his arms! Mark is one tough well reserved man who seems to be unapproachable and put off and Katelyn is nothing but a breath of fresh air making Mark see her as one desirable woman he needs to keep at arms length due to his secret. Katelyn is one special woman and does not back down from her attraction to Mark and once these two start to tangle do thing heat up on the Ranch! I enjoyed how they thought being friends would be a good thing but these two are and always will be more than friends. Getting to the Love and finding common ground is one explosive journey and it opens their eyes to what they need, want and desire to be happy. Mark has been holding back on what he has to offer and Katelyn feels it and one night things come to a head and Mark runs thinking he did wrong instead of embracing what they discovered together. I love Katelyn for standing her ground and getting her man to fully give himself to her and all that makes them happy! Mama and Papa raised some sexy handsome cowboys who are gentlemen with Hearts of gold! Each woman finds a way to complement their man and getting there and reading their stories is a treat. I am so looking forward to Luke’s story and who gets to be his lucky lady. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

Katelyn and Mark are a matched pair!

Katelyn Johnson got her dream job as the event coordinator at the Mountain Spirit Hotel and Resort to have a change after breaking up with her long term boyfriend because her life was bland, boring and everything was beige and she didn’t really miss him when he was gone. Katelyn meets cowboy Mark Bennett at a local bar, but Mark didn’t date much since he thought he had too rough with his former girlfriend and scared her. Katelyn got to know Mark better during the planning of his brother’s wedding that was going to at the hotel where she worked.

I really enjoyed Riding Hard because it made ranch work very realistic and showed all the hard work that it takes by everyone involved. I laughed so hard when Mark uses grunts instead of actual words during a conversation because I was raised on a ranch and I know several cousins that do the same thing. I’m definitely reading the rest of the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You’ll fall in love with Mark and Katelyn from the very first pages. Katelyn is done with her “beige” life. When Mark, who is perceived as cold and serious, literally almost knocks her on her butt, she’s sure her life will never be the same.
But Mark has dark secrets he’s not sure he’ll ever be able to share. He might just take a chance with Katelyn.
I loved this story from the beginning. It gave me the feels I crave from a book! 5 stars!

Sometimes you need to persist to get what you want! Book 2 in the Bennett Boys Ranch, Buck Wild brings us Mark (the eldest Bennett) and Katelyn a Wedding Planner. I liked this story, the characters and look forward to reading more

Oh Mark! LOVED him! How lucky Katelyn is to get all his smiles. Sweet withdrawn brooding heroes are my favorite, and this author is all about them (with a little bit of kink ;) ) I really enjoyed getting to know these two. I think Katelyn is perfect for him, her light to balance his dark, to draw the good inside him to the surface. Great overall country laid back vibe, and I really love the boy's Mom. She reminds me of my mother in law, in a good way lol, it helped me picture her anyway. Can't wait to see who she has in store for middle brother Luke!

Riding Hard is the second book in the Bennett Boys Ranch series and features Mark Bennett, the dirty-talking eldest brother of the Bennett boys and Katelyn Johnson, the feisty wedding planner who knows what she wants, and that's Mark. With a great storyline, wonderful characters, undeniable attraction, sexual tension, secrets, witty banter, steamy chemistry, HOT scenes, passion, love, and a HEA, Riding Hard is a definite must read.

I loved Mark and Katelyn's story. Mark was the gentle giant you just can't help but fall for. He is quiet and keeps to himself. He thinks his dark side is to much for Katelyn and he tries to hide it from her. Try as he might he can't stay away though. The attraction these two have for one another is so strong. Katelyn is independent and knows what she wants. She is tired of her vanilla life and knows she wants more than a beige love life. She somehow knows Mark is the one to give her the life she seeks and is strong enough to to for it. I love Mark's loyalty to his family. At times he seems to carry the weight of it on his shoulders feeling that the responsibility for his families ranch lies solely with him. I like how he soon learns that working as a team with his brothers is what is best for all. The chemistry between these two is so hot. I loved the HEA and can't wait to read Luke's story!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book through the publisher via NetGalley. I’ve been waiting for Mark’s book and he was so worth the wait. Mark is the eldest and he’s in charge of the ranch, it’s his life. He’s over the relationships, hearts and flowers crap, no time for it, doesn’t want it. Mark may just change his mind after he sees Katelyn, she’s new in town and just happens to be the new event planner where James and Sophie are getting married. When these two meet there’s a definite spark between them, but everyone has a past and sometimes the past is better left in the past. Katelyn feels the pull towards Mark and isn’t going to sit by and let this hunk of a man slip through her fingers, she’s spunky, sassy and persistent, just what Mark needs. Such a great book and I can’t wait for the next one, highly recommend this book.

4*
Katelyn has just moved into the area leaving her safe boring beige life and has landed her dream job.
Mark is busy running the ranch he’s no time for anything else, so why does the events manager stir him?
Will she uncover the real Mark?
These books are standalone and have true endings but the characters are great I’m so pleased they are getting their own books.

Another great book in the series.

Riding Hard was a fantastic read. That pulled me in from the very start. Thanks to a story that was enthralling, entertaining and extremely engaging. Not to mention heartfelt, full of emotion, sweetness and heat. Plus, really great characters, including the main two Mark and Katelyn. And I loved how their romance developed and particularly how the hard and stood Mark blossomed as his relationship with Katelyn grew and deepened. Which is why I was so happy to see these two get the happy ending they deserve.

Would happily recommend.

I am loving these cowboy brothers and the ladies they fall for! Mark is the oldest, with the weight of the whole family on his shoulders. And he holds himself back from fully embracing all he has to give someone. Luckily, Katelyn isn't easily deterred. She sees him. These two are fireworks together, fierce and possessive and sweet. I really like the country, small town feel and the whole Bennett family. These can be read as a stand alone. I know there' is still a brother who needs his story told, but he has big shoes to fill, because I'm in love with Riding Hard.

Loved it! Mark Bennett has growling, grunts and dirty talk perfected. Along with being a stick in the mud just because he can. The man is wrapped oh so tight. Enter Katelynn who is present and totally accountable as the event planner for upcoming highly visible wedding and meets Mark. Well...this story takes off at a rip roaring pace and doesn't land until the very last page and guaranteed to make you lose all track of time because you just have to read that one more page. Mark and Katelynn were scorching together and likable characters. Well written and a great plot, Lauren yet another winner with this gem!

Steamy cowboy romance

Riding Hard is the 2nd book in Lauren Landish’s Bennett Boys Ranch series, but can easily be read as a stand alone.
Mark’s past baggage makes him feel unworthy of Katelyn which after awhile got to me. Because of this it’s a rocky road to their HEA. While both books are worth reading I enjoyed book 1, Buck Wild better but still look forward to reading Luke’s story.

Mark and Katelyn have such chemistry from the moment they meet. I was pulled into the story and didn’t want to put it down. Katelyn is tired of living in a beige world and she’s the only one who sees Mark as a rainbow of colors. How heartbreaking to feel alone in the world and believe that no one understands you. It was nice to see them both grow as individuals and as a couple.

Unfortunately, I missed the first book in the series, but it’s not necessary to have read it in order to enjoy this one. Can’t wait for Lucas’ story.

Wowza! This book was phenomenal! One of the best I've read to date and certainly the best I've read so far this year. Words cannot even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this story. The chemistry between Mark and Katelyn was off the charts! This story was an intensely wild ride from start to finish. It's not often that I suffer from a book hangover but wow this one still has me reeling. I suspect there is a re-read in my not so distant future.

I loved Riding Hard, which is no surprise because I loved the first book in the series too. But Mark was so much more than I thought he would be. There was a depth to him, an internal struggle that not many authors can bring to life so realistically. Lauren Landish did that. I loved his quiet demeanor, it’s always the quiet ones who feel so much.

Katelyn was perfect for Mark in every way, even if he didn’t want to accept that at first. Not only their journey together, but Katelyn’s journey into a colorful world, and Mark’s journey to self acceptance, was beautiful.
