I adored The Storm Keeper so I was thrilled when I nabbed a teaser/excerpt. I was immediately returned to the incredible world of Arranmore to reunite with our protagonist Fionn. Once again I was captivated by this enchanting characters and masterful storytelling. I now eagerly await the full novel and will be purchasing a copy for my shelf. A must-read for all fans of magic. Ms Doyle crafts an extraordinary tale simply overflowing with atmosphere, action, danger and adventure,

I am so glad I waited until close to publication as I don't quite know how I could keep a lid of my yearning to read the entire book had I made the mistake of reading it sooner! This is the type of story that could turn a non-reader into a voracious one and so far one of the most entertaining middle-grade books of the past few years. Superb and highly recommended! Many thanks to Bloomsbury Children's Books for an excerpt.

I know this was only an extract but I was immediately returned to the island of Arranmore where Fionn realised who he was and why his family was so important to the island. So many wonderful characters in the first book and now already in the second we have met a new friend who seems aware of Fionn’s family and powers.
I love how all who live on the island are somehow connected to one of the ruling families. It makes it feel more powerful and intriguing. It might signify a battle coming and all connected must unite to defeat the darkness coming.

I am really looking forward to reading the full book when it is published. The first two chapters are already exciting and full of adventure. I love the introduction with Fiona being watched from the water....so spooky and mysterious.

A wonderful sequel waiting to be read by a wonderful author!

I loved The Storm Keeper, and had high hopes that the sequel would be just as atmospheric, mysterious and entertaining. If the sample is anything to go by, it is. I love Fionn’s grandad and their deeply personal relationship, and was glad to see him still at the forefront of the story during these opening chapters. I also like the subtle introduction of a deeply intriguing mermaid type creature. I just hope it retains what I loved the most abut the previous novel, which was the family aspects and the resounding love Fionn has for his family.

These opening chapters whet the appetite for a fantastic sequel with great balance between introducing the growing peril of this book, reminding us of events and dynamics of the first novel and how things have developed in the interim period with a good dose of humour to boot.
The atmospheric immersive feel of the first book immediately sweeps over us again and takes us to the isle of Arranmore and orientates us in the magic-tinted world of the young Stormkeeper as he tussles with the skills and responsibility of his task.
I now wait with great anticipation for the rest of the novel!

Great start to the second book in the series! Already hooked with the merrows being introduced and his friend Sam, great descriptions so far and the soulstalkers are as eerie as ever! Looking forward to seeing the family dynamic now that his mother is one the island. The magic comes so easy in the book it feels like its real, the atmosphere of the island is fantastic.
