So sad to see the end coming for the Mel Craig mysteries. In this novel, Mel’s mother is staying in a retirement home while Mel has renovations done to her cottage. Mel and Joe will be marrying and then Slyvia, Mel’s mother will be moving in with them. In the retirement home one of the residents dies in suspicion circumstances and Slyvia places her own life in danger as she attempts to investigate the murder. Another enjoyable read, easy to recommend especially to anyone who enjoys cosies.
Thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

Recuperating from her recent surgery, Melissa's mother Sheila goes to stay in a retirement home/convalescent community. And, like her daughter, she can't help becoming mixed up in sudden, questionable death

Melissa couldn’t be happier that summer has arrived. She’s delighted to have her mother back by her side, and she is extending her beloved Hawthorn Cottage so her new family can live together.

Meanwhile, Melissa’s mother Sylvia is back in good health and enjoying a brief stay at a stately retirement home. She loves getting to know the residents, until first a dog and then his owner are both found dead in the dining room. Like mother, like daughter, Sylvia decides to do a little investigating of her own.

This was another great cozy mystery. Again this book series should be on Hallmark Mystery Channel someone should pitch this.

This time we have Melissa mother Sylvia playing sleuth when she stays at Framleigh House Retirement Home to recuperate from surgery while her daughter Melissa gets her house ready for her to stay.

While she there at first a dog name Gaston and then his owner Flavia are both found dead but when she believes theirs death is suspicious she starts to investigate the residents.

Melissa starts to wonder if her mother is right to be suspicious when one of her mother friends starts mysterious be ill she realize her mother may be in danger.

There are good enough suspects the writer Laurence Dainton who once was married to Lily Cherston who estranged from her children love her because she doesn't sugarcoat it then you have Geraldine Wardle the manager of Framleigh House who bit uptight.

I ARC received via NetGalley and in exchange for an honest review.
