2021 Reread:

a quick re-read! reading this for the second time and it's just as good as when I first read it. one of the things I love about this book is that the relationship between Britt and Zander is already established. so many books involve characters meeting for the first time and while I don't mind that because it seems to be the standard for most romance books, I love that there is already history with these two. it makes the relationship so much sweeter, plus I'm a sucker for longing and pining so its a win-win for me.

it does work well as a stand alone, it doesn't spoil anything from the first two books apart from the fact that the two couples are together but you would already know that anyway haha.

Friends to something more! Slow burn romance. A mystery. What doesn't this book have? I knew when I started the series that Sweet on You was going to be a doozy of a read. I wasn't wrong. Britt and Zander's story built through the first two books and came to a conclusion here. Those last 100 pages had me reading through my hands over my eyes. When everything seems perfect and there's 100 pages left, you know there's about to be a LOT of drama. And Becky Wade pulled it off so well. I connected with Britt on such an emotional level. Like her, I'm the youngest of three, and our personalities were so similar that I had to catch myself as I read. I could see my own issues cropping up within the pages. It just shows how well the characters are written. And this book is more than a romance. I enjoyed untangling the mystery Frank left behind. It brought everything in the story to a lovely conclusion. The faith element definitely hooked me. Zander and Britt both have issues to work through, and it never felt contrived or cheesy when they brought their problems to God.

Another great story by Becky. Becky has a way of writing so that you are drawn into the story and lives of her characters.

Falling in love with your best friend is out of the question, especially since you have known him for most of your life. If things didn’t work out, it could ruin your friendship, but what if things did work out?
Sweet on You by Becky Wade continues the story of the Bradford sisters. We are now on Britt’s story. Britt is the youngest sister in the Bradford family, and I have been eagerly waiting for her book. I absolutely adored Britt’s book! It was so good, but I especially loved Zander. He was the perfect match for Britt and he absolutely stole my heart from the first time I saw him in Nora’s book.
Zander has just returned from his grand tour of the world because of some bad news from home. Zander's uncle, the man who raised Zander, suddenly dies. Zander doesn’t know where he would be if it wasn’t for his uncle and so he rushes home. As Zander comes home, he sees that some things never change. For one, is his love for Britt. He hoped that while away he might have come up with a way to deal with his love for Britt, but instead of his love going away, he finds that he loves Britt even more than ever.
Unfortunately, Zander has more important things to deal with, his first draft of his next book and the truth behind his uncle’s death. Zander comes home to suspicions about how his uncle dies and he aims to find out not only because of his aunt but because he wants to know the truth behind the man who raised him.
Britt enlisted her own help in order to find out what happened to Zander’s uncle and along the way, she finds herself falling for Zander. But Britt fights herself because she knows that boyfriends and girlfriends break up all the time, but friendship can last forever. What will happen when Britt finally opens her heart to Zander? Will their relationship grow or will it all fall apart?
On my goodness, I adored this book. It really hit close to home, as I am the kind of person who clings to being in control with a tight grip. I am really like Britt, when my hold on my life starts to slip, I do everything I can to put things back in the order I want.
As I read about Britt having to trust God, I was reminded how I myself need to trust God even in the little things. Becky Wade reminded me of how short life is and how important it is to trust God.

Sweet on You is the last book in the Bradford sister series. This one focuses on Britt, the youngest of the sisters, and her best friend Zander who is in love with her while she has no idea. The story follows Zander and Britt as she starts developing feelings for her friend and their journey from just friends to more than friends. It also follows the two as they investigate Zander’s Uncle’s death.
I’ve been on a bit of a reading slump as of late so my opinions on the book may be affected by that. I really was not invested in the characters or in their relationship. Many occurrences in the book seemed contrived, I found it hard to identify with the characters, and I couldn’t feel what they felt. It felt more like I was being told how they felt, I couldn’t see it. I wanted to finish the series so I powered through, I was reminded that Faithfulness is an innate part of God and it’s not dependent on my own faithfulness and at the end I found their love sweet. It was also nice to see characters from previous books.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Becky Wade continues the series in a fascinating manner with Sweet On You! Delightful characters and a perfectly progressing timeline will make it difficult to put this book down!

Sometimes I take way to long to read a book. This one has been on my TBR for a while.

Britt and Zander have been best friends for 13 years. They have helped each other, finish each other's thoughts, and provided needed support. Zander has been in love with Britt the whole time and she was oblivious. This book reminds me that sometimes patience pays off.

This book was more than a romance. There is a suspense aspect. Zander's uncle just passed away and he learns that his uncle had a past that was buried. Zander and Britt decide to investigate together to discover the truth. The past wasn't pretty, but it brought in a few unique and dangerous characters.

This is a book that has a great resolution and is one that helps my faith in humanity and good people. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I need to read the stories about Britt's sisters. I loved getting to know them in the pages of this book.

This is a clean read with heavy kissing. This also contains Christian content and non-graphic violence

You had me at chocolate! But seriously - I love this book. I've never read this author before but she's now one of my favorites!

This was the epitome of a friends to lovers tale that I'd been waiting for since I learned about Zander and Britt in Nora's book. I liked the Christian aspects of the story as well as the mystery and intrigue of Zander's Uncle Frank. This was sweet and clean, I'd rate PG for thematic violence.

Featuring the last of the Bradford sisters, Sweet on You will make you reach for your chocolates as you settle in for cozy read. A bit of a summary: Britt, a successful chocolatier with a thriving business, ignores the twinges of attraction she feels for Zander and is unwilling to explore a romance with the guy everyone else thinks is perfect for her. But when it’s discovered Zander’s uncle might have had a second identity, Britt volunteers to help investigate his past, uncovering a dangerous mystery. In the process, headstrong Britt must face appearing needy and weak—even in front of God—and Zander must confront his greatest fear: losing Britt. Britt’s sisters return as strong support characters.

Wade delights readers with mouthwatering descriptions of chocolate and cozy scenes of friendship. If you've read the first two of the series, you will find this a fitting and fun conclusion.

Friends to something more is one of my favorite romance plot lines and this one DELIVERED. Zander is so sweet and adores Britt and this book lovingly crafts their story of Britt FINALLY realizing she wants and needs something more than best friendship with Zander.

Make sure you have some chocolate on hand when reading this book, because it is guaranteed to make you crave some! I loved this final novel in the Bradford Sisters series, where the story follows the youngest sister and her journey of falling in love with her childhood best friend. I loved how Becky included the other two sisters into the story and we got to know what happened to them in their relationships. Becky weaved God into the story line, which acts as a great witness to those readers who may not be believers. I loved this series and am sad that it's over. Would definitely recommend this book to those who love a good romance.

This was a really sweet book! I really enjoyed reading Britt’s story and coming back to the Bradford Sisters world (though it’s been a FULL 2 years since I read book 1 and the prequel and never read book 2 lol). Britt was always the sister that I was the most interested (master chocolatier?? SIGN ME UP) in reading about, and this was a really sweet story about her!

I love books where storylines tie together, and this one was no exception: I really enjoyed seeing the characters from previous books come into play, and seeing their personalities from each different perspective was really fun. Britt as a character was really fun to read as well. I again really liked the notes and emails etc that were scattered throughout the book, especially as a flashback.

There was a little bit more of a suspense aspect of the book that I didn’t expect, and so that was really fun to read, and was a little bit different than the generic romance that I was expecting to read about.

I am still not a fan of how the book approaches dating and romance and men like . . . an objective thing? There were WAY too many pictures of her soft wispy hair or his well defined, dark muscles for my liking, and there were DEFINITELY too many-flashes-of-anticipation type kisses that I did NOT want to read about.

For that reason, I do not think I will be reading book 2 of this series, nor will I be reading any of the other books of this author. I understand that there was attraction between the two parties, but . . . maybe we did not have to see it and feel it?

Compared to True to You, I think I definitely relate to/like the character (Nora) better than Britt, though I did decidedly enjoy reading about Britt’s life: again, chocolatier. (The descriptions of the chocolate actually made me go break into a box of truffles that my family had, haha!). On the other hand, I enjoyed the suspense bit of this book a lot: it gave it a different storyline than just fluffy romance.

There was less Christian content in this book (at least from what I can remember), which . . . is not really required, but it is worth a mention. Britt and Zander were also in some . . . interesting positions as a couple, and yes, I knew they were friends before, but they . . . kinda got really close? So that is up to viewers discretion I suppose.

Overall, it was a fun read. Content wise it was not great, but I did enjoy reading the story!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review.

"Sweet on You" is the 3rd book in this series and did not disappoint. We got to see a bit about Britt ad Zander in the first 2 books and it was fun to see how they get together. They have been best friends, but Britt has been oblivious to the fact that Zander is in love with her.

Becky Wade writes in such a way that you don't want to put the book down. She also writes in a way that makes you feel like you literally know the people she is writing about.

Each book in this series is filled with trust and faith in different scenarios. I highly recommend not only this book, but all 3 in the triology.

Sweet on You the third book in Becky Wade’s Bradford Romance Series is an excellent addition to this sweet and charming series. Readers will love the excellent romance in this story as they follow two best friends that fall for each other. Towards the end, the romance tends to go a bit slow, but readers are already invested and love the characters enough to hold on and see what happens next. Wade also adds in a fun twist of mystery, which enhances this already thrilling story. It is fun to see characters from previous books in the series showing up in this one as well. This is definitely a story that readers will not want to put down!

What a great conclusion to the Bradford Sisters series! Readers who've been with the series from the beginning have long anticipated Zander and Britt's romance, and it does not disappoint. (This is the place where I tell you that you absolutely should read these books in order because they are amazing, but you could pick up Sweet on You without having read the other books and have no problem jumping right in.)

Zander Ford has been in love with Britt Bradford since high school, and everyone knows except Britt. He even left their hometown to go on a world tour mainly because he couldn't stand to watch Britt in yet another relationship. When he cuts his trip short and returns home following his uncle's death, things finally begin to change.

Watching Britt slowly realize just what Zander means to her and seeing Zander finally decide to do something about his feelings for Britt makes for a really enjoyable reading experience! The "friends to lovers" trope is one of my favorites, and Wade does it so well here.

As has been the case with each book in the series, Wade also includes an intriguing mystery, this time surrounding Zander's uncle's death and surprising past. This mystery not only leads Zander and Britt closer to each other, but it also helps Britt confront her reliance on herself and helps her recognize her need to trust the Lord.

At nearly 400 pages, Sweet on You is a long book, but I wish it was even longer! As is always the case with a Becky Wade book, I finished the book before I was ready to leave the characters behind. And now comes the wait for Wade's next novel!

ugh, Sweet on You is such a sweet story. ❤ Love Becky Wade’s books.

Britt and Zander have been best friends since they met thirteen years ago, but unbeknownst to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long. When Zander’s uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Washington to investigate. As they work together to uncover his uncles tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also come to light?

I’ve enjoyed reading about each of the Bradford sisters, and Britt and Zander’s story was no exception! Wade does a really good job of giving us a fun mystery tied in with a romance every time, and her writing style is definitely something to take a look at. 5 stars.

This book surprised me. I thought it was going to be a lighthearted romance, but it tackles some very serious subjects - such as self-reliance verses reliance on God. I think Ms Wade did a good job with the character development, and there were a lot of interesting side characters to make the book even more interesting. The love story is sweet, and the side mystery is intriguing. I enjoyed it!

Another great read by Becky Wade and a great addition to the series. I have really enjoyed each character from this series and this was not different. Becky does such a good job of drawing you into her characters and I feel like I could be friends with any of them. The romance is sweet but not sappy and not R rated which I really appreciate.

This is the third book in a trilogy on the Bradford sisters and in all honesty, I would have to say it was my least favorite. I like Britt. She's spunky and independent and sure that she should never depend on anyone. She tries so hard to be self-reliant, but in the end realizes how much she does need people and how much more complete her life can be when she opens up her heart.

Zander is just the best, rock-solid, dependable and deeply in love with Britt. You know how the story ends.

So while I loved the characters, Britt, Zander, Willow, Nora, and all the rest, the book just felt more fake to me. There was too much kissing and not enough life being lived. But yet the life that was portrayed also felt a little surreal. I can't go into a lot of detail without giving away the plot lines, but something traumatic happens and then life tries to go on as normal. Normalcy doesn't work for Britt and that's when she eventually falls apart and opens her heart, but it just felt like the rest of the story just hung there. What happened to the bad guys? Why wasn't there some debriefing for Britt and Zander? It felt incomplete.

I don't like to criticize a book because I know the author put time and effort into the story. And I liked the characters. I really liked the first two books in the series. Becky is a good author with a good writing style. I'll still read her books. This one just didn't click with me quite as much.

I received this book from Bethany House via NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review.
