I Simply Adored this Book. The author has given us a funny, romantic, lighthearted storyline that will take you back to simpler times with characters you can truly relate to. Her writing style is witty, charming and simply put dreamy. Kudos Ms. Andrews for a wonderful book that kept my heart happy and my face grinning throughout.

Wade Carter is a former Pro Football QB that for all practical purposes has the world by the tail. He’s got money, women and a PA that runs every little detail of his life (yes even down to buying condoms for him). But her contract is about to run out and Wade is desperate to find a way to make her stay on. As for Cecilia “CC” Morgan she is ready to leave now. She finally has enough money to leave Denver and buy her dream home on the beach in California. No more taking care of Wade 24/7. But when CC walks into Wade’s office to give her notice, 6 months early, Wade gets a call from his mother that his dad is in the hospital. Wade needs her and she just can’t say no. But to her dismay, Wade convinces CC to give him 3 months while he helps his family at the farm and his dad recuperates.

From here the story takes off. The small town of Credence is dying. There are no single women to be found. Wade’s mother and the town council come up with a plan to bus in women for a weekend to see what the town has to offer. A plan Wade is totally against (because he can just see the paparazzi invasion). But somehow CC gets sucked in by Wade’s Mom and agrees to help. Between this crazy plan, Wade working on the farm getting all sweaty and wear jeans instead of suits, CC, a total city girl, is in purgatory.

I can’t recommend this charming, heartfelt, delightful story enough and this reader can’t wait to see what happens next in the small town of Credence, Colorado. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars for a very enjoyable read.

A lovely slow burn romance, the type where they don't realise what they've got until it's going to be gone. Amy Andrews is an excellent writer.

Nothing But Trouble, Amy Andrews first Credence, Colorado book, had the trifecta of what makes a wonderfully written story: humor, heart, and relatable characters with unique personalities. Right out of the gate (sorry...the horse racing metaphors are not intended) it was CC’s sassiness that grabbed my attention and drew me in...not letting go up until the last sentence. I so enjoy a story with banter and quick repartee...this one was rife with it...my laughter was hardest during the times Wade, Drew, Arlo, and Tucker were gathered together. With baby animals thrown, this was a book I couldn’t put down.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review one of your author’s titles.

I apologize that it has taken me a while to respond, as I should have been more prompt, however I have chosen not to read or review this title as it was not one that I found was able to hold my interest and my review would not have been positive.

As always, thank you for the opportunity.

You have the alpha dog and ex-NFL star, Wade Carter, of Colorado. Who, come for a long line of pig ranchers/farmers? His parents are Ronnie and Cal and his older, deathly shy brother Wyatt. He is more or less runs the farm with their dad’s help.
Almost six years ago he hires a P.A., Cecilia (C.C.) to work for him 24/7 at great amounts of money. After he saw her kick her former boss in the gonads for trying to kiss her off in the corner of a bar. Wade hired her on the spot. But she worked around the clock for this prima donna, ex-NFL football player.
But since she lived in a rent-free apartment Wade bought for her to live in, she invested well. She had only six more months left on her contract but a big windfall in the market got her over the goal line she had set for herself. Meaning she could bail if Wade pissed her of just one more time. But there was just one little matter of his lawyers which he wasn’t beneath using against her if she pissed him off.
Let’s just say things heat up when he talks her into going home to his hometown for three months to help his family and finish his book while his father recouped due to his heart. The ranch had his brother but he wanted to help out. When the town falls in love with C.C. as well as his family he knows things have changed. He was seeing her as a woman for the first time and that is dangerous.
I enjoyed seeing how this little spitfire of an assistant, really is his right hand, takes this total alpha male and transforms him into someone he didn’t remember was inside himself anymore. Also, coming home with him changes her seeing how a family unit really works and how love is not a tool to be wielded against you but to cherished and nurtured.

Is their bantering them saying they’ve had enough of each other of sexual tension ready to explode? You will have to read the book. I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.

Overall, "Nothing but Trouble" by Amy Andrews was a sweet, amusing story featuring likeable main characters and a well-crafted slow burn romance. I especially enjoyed the male lead character, former NFL quarterback Wade, and his addiction to Nerds candy. He was a lot of fun, and watching him slowly realize his romantic feelings for his long-suffering personal assistant, CC, was delightful. I also enjoyed CC's lively, independent personality and the way she always stood up to Wade. Their banter made me laugh out loud a number of times as I was reading.

The characters were really the strength of this book, with Wade's childhood friends from his hometown of Credence, Colorado adding a lot of humor and nearly stealing the show in a few places. The way they teased Wade was really funny, and I loved that they treated him like a regular guy despite his celebrity. I really liked the secondary romance involving Wade's older brother Wyatt and the new girl in town, Jenny, too. Wyatt was such a sweetheart, and I was happy for him to find someone who was able to see past his shyness to the good-hearted person inside. I usually hate relationships based on insta-love, which could definitely describe Wyatt and Jenny's relationship, but I was able to give it a pass here because they weren't the main couple. Besides that, Wyatt was just so darn sweet and likeable that I would have forgiven him almost anything.

That said, there were some things about the story that didn't quite make sense to me, which is why I was unable to rate it 5 stars. First, did CC have a relationship with her father while she was growing up or not? At first, it seemed as if she never saw him at all, but she later told Wade that she felt "fought over" by her parents when she was a child. She also told him that her father had never told her he loved her. Why would her parents have bothered to fight over her if her father didn't love her and want to see her? I guess it could have been related to child support payments or something similar, but even so, that doesn't fit with the initial impression that her father wasn't in her life at all. Second, I was confused about when CC's father actually left the family. At the time this story takes place, CC is 32 years old, and we're told that her father left her mother when she was 3 to be with a woman who already had children of her own from a previous relationship. However, when he dies CC notes that her father left behind "bewildered teenagers" who would miss "the only father they've ever known." How could that possibly be the case unless he went on to have more kids with the other woman? That woman's older children couldn't possibly still be teenagers; they would have had to be around CC's age by then.

I was also confused by some of the details surrounding Wade's experiences with Jasmine. For example, how does Wade know where Jasmine is and what she's up to now? Did they keep in touch? Given everything she put him through when they broke up, it seems strange to me that he would have kept in touch with her, but how else would he know about her current life?

Finally, Wade's objections to the plan to invite women to move to Credence were very weak, and it didn't make sense to me why he wouldn't just go home to Denver if he was so unhappy about it. Wyatt didn't need any help managing the farm, and even if he had, Wade easily could have hired someone to help him out. He had plenty of money to do so thanks to his lucrative NFL contracts. In addition, if there were too many distractions for Wade to write his book in Denver, his money would have allowed him to go anywhere in the world to write. After he knew his father was going to recover, the only thing keeping Wade in Credence was stubbornness, and it was kind of annoying that no one bothered to point that out to him.

In any event, I did enjoy this story and look forward to reading future installments in the series, some of which will hopefully feature Wade's childhood friends. Tucker, Arlo, and Drew seem like pretty great guys and I would love to see them get stories of their own.

This is such a hard trope to pull off, but for the most part, I did enjoy this take on friends to lovers in an adversarial context.

4 1/2 STARS!

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE is the first book in the Creedence, Colorado series by Amy Andrews and it is laugh out loud funny! The story revolves around a former NFL quarterback and his long-time personal assistant in a delightful boss/employee to lovers story.

Cecilia AKA CC is a super fun character. She truly likes Wade as a person, but she's getting so fed up with being at his beck and call 24/7 that she's ready to throw in the towel. It just so happens that her investments have paid off and are handing her the opportunity gift-wrapped ... she just has to work up the willpower to tell Wade she's leaving.

Wade is delightful! He's hot, sexy, kind-hearted and just enough of a spoiled man-child that we have to crack up time and again at some of his antics. I couldn't have enjoyed this guy more.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys snarky comedy mixed into their romance. If this is any indication of what Creedence, Colorado is going to be like, I'll be jumping on the future books in the series bandwagon right away!

Cecilia, CC, is the personal assistant to Wade, a former NFL quarterback. While she has made a good living, she is ready to move on with her life. Unfortunately Wade is not ready to let her go. He begs her to just stay on a bit longer while he heads home to deal with an emergency. CC gets sucked into the small town and has some difficult decisions to make in this whirlwind of a romance.

I'm torn with this book. I like the concept of failing for your best friend but I had issues with both main characters. With Wade, I disliked his womanizing ways early on in the book. He made CC clean up his mess time and time again and she always did. I also didn't like the way he treated his family. He always gave them money but he never have them time until this latest sickness.
With CC I wish she would have stuck up for herself sooner than she did. she was a push over . 1/2 through the book I was hoping she would get with someone else

I loved the relationship between CC and her boss. The fact that she kept his favorite candy on hand is pretty awesome. This was a fun story and I hope to read more like it.

Fun read for the pool or beach! The plot reminded me immediately of a Hallmark movie about a football player and his assistant. But despite the feeling that I already knew the storyline, I still kept reading. Cecilia works for NFL quarterback Wade Carter for years. During a family crisis, he returns to his hometown and Cecilia goes with him. He doesn't seem to see her as anything but his left tackle, until she gives him her resignation. And it just gets better from there. There is a Tara like plantation that is mentioned often. I have to say that this detail alone kept me intrigued. Who doesn't love Gone With The Wind! It does have a bit of a Scarlett and Rhett feel to it.

I am a huge fan of a sports romance, so I had a hankering that I was going to love this from the very beginning, what I didn’t realise was just how much. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it was that spoke to me, all I can say is that I absolutely loved the interaction and banter between Cecilia (aka CC) and Wade.
CC was the glue that had held Wade’s life together for so long, his girl Friday, the woman that does everything he needs but that he quite simply doesn’t seem to see for anything other than the fact that she makes sure he doesn’t have to do for himself.
He might have fancied his chances with her but that didn’t mean he was willing to take that step, he had too much to lose after all keeping his life organised without her would be virtually impossible, she keeps him on the straight and narrow! But standing back may be the safe option up until now because a trip home has him feeling totally conflicted because it doesn’t take long for him to have to face up to the fact that there are others that see CC for a whole lot more than he is willing to admit and the hint of jealousy is hilarious.
But this retired quarterback had a few powerplays up his sleeve and wasn’t quite ready to throw in the towel on a long-held fascination.
The switch up from a business connection to an emotional connection was handled fabulously, I adored the small-town setting, it seemed to make the whole story more personable. Wade and Cc were great characters, but I liked that the author didn’t leave them to carry the whole story, she gave me a superb cast of secondary characters.
A super sweet read that was totally captivating, left me with a huge smile on my face.

I've been a fan of this author's work for a while now, so I was especially eager to read this when I found I had the opportunity to do so! I found it to be an engaging and witty read!

I loved the chemistry between Wade and CC, even before CC decided to move on! They were amusing to "watch" and I loved how their relationship deepened from professional to romantic! At first, I had felt that CC was a bit of a doormat, but I liked how she grew out of that once she started getting into her element in Credence. Likewise, I thought that Wade was a spoiled jerk at first, but over the course of the book, he grew as a character and while he did some pretty boneheaded things, overall, I enjoyed seeing his character progress further!

The plot was enjoyable and engaging. This was a book that I'm very happy to have read!

Besides the laugh out loud moments in this book, it is a fabulous sensual romance filled with emotions and joy and yay it is the start of a series, make yourself comfy as you get to know PA Cecilia Morgan known as CC and retired football star Wade Carter as they have an exciting, fun, sensual and moving journey to a HEA that will have your heart fluttering.

CC Morgan is a strong and determined woman, she has five older brothers and knows how to look after herself she is a fabulous PA and very independent, when she takes a job with top footballer Wade Carter she knew she would be working hard and was available to him twenty four seven for anything that he needs, she is paid well for the work she does and is saving to buy her own home, but when the time comes to resign Wade is needed by his family so a trip to his hometown Credence changes a lot for CC and who knew a cowboy could look so sexy and turn CC on.

Wade is now retired from his beloved sport of football but is still a sort after celebrity he has been in love before and hurt badly and he is the ace with short flings and has had CC to help him out for five years now, but when he takes her home to Credence for three months to help him write his memoirs and she becomes close to not only his family but his friends in town and Wade is starting to think very differently about his awesome PA, CC and maybe there might be a future for them if he can get it right.

The way that CC fits so well into life in Credence and helps out with the plans to grow the population was so very good. This book was such a joy to read, laughter, emotions, awesome characters that just added so much to CC and Wade’s story and of course MS Andrews’s way with words that bring sensual moments to life and such bliss to her readers. I do highly recommend this book so much and am really looking forward to the next one in the series, such a fun and sensual story I loved it.

I really enjoyed this book! My first time reading anything by Amy Andrews. I loved the characters she developed and their history. I liked the tie in to the NFL and the picture it painted of what professionals go through in their personal life. Several laugh out loud moments and intriguing scenarios. Imagining how some of the small town events would play out made it a fun read. I’m all about the HEA and I was hoping for it all along!

This one was so fantastic! I loved the setup - a former football star & his assistant begin to see one another in a new and different way - its a really good way to lead into the story. It took me a while to warm up to the hero but I loved CC from the first page. But, I loved watching them come to know one another and realize how they feel about each other. I loved the side characters and the world of this story. Fantastic read and I can't wait to see what's coming next in the series.

I really enjoyed Nothing But Trouble, this is a small town romance. Amy Andrews is a new author for me and it did take me a little longer to read than I'm used to but the pull from the main characters had me smitten. I love CC's empowering personality, she had to be a strong PA to put up with her demanding boss former NFL Quarterback Wade Carter and what a nice back end that he does have. I don't know how two hot strong personalities worked together for 5 years without killing or sleeping with each other for so long. This personal assistant has had enough of her bosses womanizing ways and is ready to call it quits until her boss comes up with a plan to spend more time with her. It's just too bad that he has past issues of his own that could allow CC to slip right out of his hands.

A beautiful story of family, friends and a town worth fighting for. I loved the secondary characters, it seems that this small town breeds some of the hottest men alive whose stories I will be looking out for.

Nothing But Trouble is a cute, funny, romantic story about Cecilia Morgan and her boss Wade Carter. Wade is a retired football player, famous with a big ego. Cecilia is his personal assistant available 24\7 and coming to the end of her contract. Circumstances have come up making Wade decide to return to his hometown to help out his family and write his memoir. Cecilia fed up with Wade's antics and having an investment pay off big time decides to quit rather than go to Wade's small hometown. Of course, Wade manages to persuade Cecilia to remain with him for the 3 months he plans on spending in his hometown. Between the housing for Wade and Cecilia, Wade's hometown and Wade's parents farm, there's plenty of action and romance becomes a part of it. Even the conclusion is fun and lighthearted and very happy. I received a copy of this story to give my honest review, which I have done.
