Amy Andrews pens another exciting romance with her latest book, Nothing But Trouble. The story takes in the small town of Credence, Colorado, where the male population greatly outnumbers the female population. The folks that call Credence home are down to earth, and consider their neighbors as family. This is the first novel from the author's brand new series Credence, Colorado, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Cecilia Morgan, or CC to her friends and family, has been Wade Carter's personal assistant for over five years. Wade is a former pro football quarterback, and he is just as popular now as he was back in his heyday. He is gook-looking, rich and prefers to play the field. Wade counts on CC for absolutely everything, and as a result, CC's life has never been her own for half a decade. Now that her contract is almost up, she plans on buying a home overlooking the Pacific Ocean in California. However, before CC can begin her new life, she agrees to travel with Wade to his hometown, so that he can complete his memoir, while helping out on his family's farm.

CC's immediately welcomed into the warmth of Credence by Wade's family and the townsfolk. In addition, a cute little piglet and a floppy Collie can't get enough of her attention. While ensuring that Wade stays on task with his writing and various other commitments, she gets involved with the town's latest project....getting single women into the town in hopes that they will stay and help revive the community. CC has grown to love Credence, as well as her boss in the process. A hot kiss later evolves into much more. Wade checks his ego at the door when he ends up taking care of CC during a difficult time, and after a while realizes that he has loved her forever.

This is both a sexy and enjoyable romance. The characters are well-developed and I could not get enough of the genuineness that the people of Credence exude. CC and Wade are a terrific couple and their road to happiness is a wonderful romantic escapade. The southern charm and antebellum references are incorporated beautifully. Also, the subplot regarding Wade's older brother Wyatt is both entertaining and heartfelt. I loved the ending and I can't wait to read more about the happenings in Credence.

It was a great book !
Cecilia is ready to quit.
There more to life than being a PA to a quarterback.
Wade can't live without Cecilia. ( Professionally, Of Course ! )
She can't quit on him.
He won't let her.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I have really been into sports themed romances lately. I loved Nothing but Trouble by Amy Andrews! CC has been working for football star Wade Carter for 5 years and she is ready to be done with the 24/7 work as his personal assistant. She decides to stick it out for one more summer and travel with him to his hometown. Once there, she begins to see him as more than just a football superstar.

I loved the chemistry between CC and Wade. It had a nice build up. And I’m a fan of the we’ve been attracted for all this time but never realized it trope. Not only were CC and Wade well written main characters, but I loved all the secondary characters as well. I think there is plenty of material for a whole series!! Hoping there’s a book about Wade’s brother in the works.

A new author for me, I found this book to have wonderful characters and a captivating plot that made it a delightful read. This light hearted, humorously written book is about retired NFL football player, Wade "the Catapult" Carter and his PA Ceclia Morgan, "CC". CC's 6 year contract is coming to an end. She has had no social life, because she is being paid obscenely well to be available 24/7. However, she has invested her earnings well and has enough to make her dream come true, move to Southern California and buy a home on the beach. Her father had walked out on his family to make another one, and she vowed never to be dependent on a man, because they leave. The only men she trusts are her 5 older brothers. Meanwhile, Wade is contracted to write his memoirs and does not want to lose CC. He had been burnt by love as a young man and vowed never to get close to a woman again, so he does not do relationships. After his father has a heart attack, he convinces her to come with him to his hometown, where he can help out on the farm and write and she can assist him. But once they get settled in and she is welcomed by his family and town, their relationship starts to shift. Meanwhile, the town has been suffering from population drain, with very few single woman (the opposite of Susan Mallory's Fools Gold), so the town council decides to invite single woman to town, and Wade's mother enlists CC' s help. Will Wade's shy brother Wyatt find a woman of his own? Will Wade and CC realize they are perfect for each other or go their separate ways when her contract is done?

This is the first book I have read by Ms Andrews and I really enjoyed it. I have a soft spot for cowboys and small town romance. Wade and CC were such a great pair full of chemistry and steamy hot from the beginning. This is a very well written book and I loved the HEA! I cannot wait to read more books in the series.

This was a good small town, contemporary read. This shows that Amy can write a variety of books. The characters were charming and sweet. The banter between the characters was well written, funny, and great to read. I can't wait for the next books in the series to come out!

As soon as I read the blurb of Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews, the first book in her Credence, Colorado series, I knew I wanted to read it. Cecilia Morgan has been Wade Carter’s personal assistant. The former NFL quarterback is used to haver Cecilia in his life, so he is shocked when she gives her notice and ready to do whatever it takes to keep her in his life.

After years of catering to Wade’s every need, CC is ready for something new. Yet Wade is not ready to see her leave. When his father falls ill, she goes with him to his hometown and suddenly, they are thrown together in funny and unexpected circumstances and seeing each other in a different light. I loved watching them fall, their banter and the family interactions.

Happy reading!

4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. I will be honest I was a little skeptical about Wade in the beginning, but once he goes back to his hometown to help on the farm all bets are off. I loved seeing him in that environment and so did CC. I loved the town of Credence and it's residents. This book had a light fun vibe that I truly enjoyed. I also enjoyed the secondary story of Wade's brother Wyatt. That story really warmed my heart and was a joy to read. CC and Wade have a working relationship, but when they're in Credence those lines are going to getting blurred. I'm a fan of Amy Andrews books especially her ruby guys, but she does justice to small town romance. I really can't wait to read more from this series because there are a list of guys I would like to see their stories told. This is a must read book!

A fabulous new discovery
5 stars

Oooh - this is a darn good book. It kind of knocked me for six as I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never heard of Amy Andrews before getting this book. Now I’m wondering how someone who writes such funny, romantic and absorbing stories managed to pass me by for so long.

This is the story of sexy ex-NFL quarterback, Wade Carter, and his long suffering PA, Cecelia ‘CC’ Morgan. They’ve spent 5 years in each other’s pockets with CC at Wade’s beck and call. But CC’s had enough. She’s now ready to live her own life again - planning to move to California once she’s worked her notice.

Wade manages to get CC to come to his home-town to help him write his book - and so starts the changes in both of them that lead to them falling in love. Or, perhaps more accurately, lead to the realisation that they might have been in love for a long, long time.

This is somewhat of a slow burn romance with enough goodies in there to keep you happy until we get to the real dirty stuff. It’s so cleverly written that just as Wade and CC don’t realise that they’re falling in love - neither does the reader. You know, as does the rest of the town, but you can’t pinpoint when or where it actually happened. It’s adorable and I loved every minute of their fall - and both of their massive fights against it! And Wade’s cluelessness about, well, everything is, well, everything! He’s hot and successful with women - but rubbish at love and maybe life, too! It made my heart go pitty pat! And how not to love CC? She’s relatable and sweet - and sometimes a snarky little madam. She’s 100% herself - and Wade loves her anyway. That made me happy.

The other thing that surprised me about this book was that it was hilarious! I laughed out loud on a number of occasions and that quick wittedness was in both the writing and the banter.

And speaking of banter - loved, loved, loved the supporting characters in the town. There are too many to mention but that group of sexy men - they’re all prime candidates to be taken down a peg or two by love. And Wyatt (Wade’s brother) and Jenny - bless their little hearts. We get some of Wyatt and Jenny’s love story in this book but I’d love to read more about what happens to them. Just so sweet. I even forgot my usual complaint of characters in the same story with the same first initial!

I can see the comparisons to Jill Shalvis, especially in terms of the strong friendships, likeable characters and swoon worthy romance included in the book. Ms Andrews also manages to build rich, vibrant worlds that are quirky and endearing without being cliched. I fell in love with the town of Credence and its residents. With every new character we meet, I was crossing my fingers for further books - partly so that those sexy, arrogant men could finally meet their matches, and so we could come back to this delightful town and its residents.

Amy Andrews is definitely one to watch and I cannot wait for the rest of this series. I’ve signed up to her newsletter, stalked her on social media and plan to buy up her backlist. If I devour her books even half as quickly as I did this one, I’ll be a happy camper. 5 stars and highly recommended.

Exciting slow burn, workplace romance. CC has been Wade's PA for over 5 years and has always kept their relationship professional. When Wade needs to return to his hometown, CC obviously comes with him but seeing him on the farm and with his family, well, her opinion of his starts to shift. Wade avoids commitment after having been burned years ago. He enjoys his celebrity status and all the women that land at his feet. But his life doesn't function without CC. As life in Credence brings them closer, he finds it difficult to keep his feeling strictly professional. These two are an amazing duo in the work world but what happens when they let feelings creep in? It was great to find out since each of them work hard to stay closed off, it made this an intense journey. I loved that we also got to know Wyatt, Wade's brother and he gets a sub-story along the way. And their mother, Ronnie, well, don't get in that woman's way. What a great project to help revive a strong community. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

What can I say but I LOVED it! It was hilarious and heart-breaking at the same time. The emotional roller-coaster that I went through was thrilling. I felt so much for Cecilia (CC). She is the P.A. to an ex-pro football quarterback. She has been for 5 and 1/2 years. She is so looking forward to leaving and getting to California that she could taste it. Being the PA to Wade has been rough. She is available to his whims 24/7. It is rough getting up at 3 in the morning to get him his favorite candy and more condoms. She has to take calls from woman after he breaks it off (Wade gives out CC's number not his!) I thought Wade was a big jerk at first. But going to Credence, CO to live under the same roof so Wade can write his book and help out on the family farm, really brings out a different side to Wade.

These two have a tumultuous but very hilarious journey to their HEA. The journey was difficult at times to watch but others had me wiping tears from my eyes from laughter. The characters were wonderful and the plot was a feel-good one. I could really imagine the scenes like I was right there in the middle of the action.

This book had a multiple POV. It was wonderful to see into different characters' mind to fully relate to them. I really look forward to more of Credence, CO stories.

I highly recommend.

Nothing But Trouble is the introduction to the Creedence, Colorado Series. such, it was entertaining, a very light quick read. It does have a balance issue, which seems to affect most series intros. The central romance sometimes seems to take a backseat to the introduction of series characters, background and setting. I appreciated that the primary couple is layered and both showed change and growth through the novel. The secondary characters, and yes the town could be called a character, are quirky, interesting and complex. Im looking forward to an enjoyable series.

I really enjoyed this one. The hero was so clueless, but he was such a sweetheart too. I'm definitely a fan of Wade and CC!

Wade Carter was a star quarterback in the NFL until his retirement a few years ago. Now, he's still sought after by fans in Denver, by companies for endorsements, and by the ladies for his well-known prowess. Throughout it all, the last 5 years, he's had his "left tackle" by his side, his personal assistant, CC. She keeps his schedule, supplies his Nerds candy habit, and sends his apology bouquets to his many, many disappointed dates, after he's moved on to the next. Anyone who needs him, has to go through her first. She's the best, and his life wouldn't run nearly so smoothly without her. Which is why, he's moving her with him from Denver, back to his small hometown of Credence, Colorado for the summer, so he can write his memoir. And hopefully while there, he can convince her to stay on as his PA, even though her contract is up.

Cecilia Morgan hasn't had her own life in 5 long years. She agreed to it, but it doesn't make her like it any more. Being Wade Carter's PA is an exercise in frustration, exasperation, and chastity. She hasn't had time for friends, much less dates, or anything resembling a relationship. She is at his beck and call, day and night, and boy has he taken advantage of that over the years. Finally, one of his devastated girls calls CC, AGAIN, (because why would he give them all HIS phone number?!) and it's the final straw. She decides to quit 6 months before the end of her contract, but he isn't having it. He makes her a deal to come with him to Credence for the next 3 months, to finish his book, and then he'll let her go. She jumps at the chance to be able to get out early without any lawyers or hard feelings involved. So off they go...

Wade and CC had such a comfortable relationship. She thought she had seen him in every aspect of his life, and she accepted him as he was. But she'd never seen him truly at home, in his hometown. Wade also realized, while in Credence, that he didn't know as much about CC as he thought, and them being under the same roof brought them closer, and helped envision each other in a new light. The interesting thing about Wade and CC's relationship was that they never truly SAW each other until they were in Credence. This is not one of those cases of the heroine sadly pining away for the hero while he screws around with everyone else under the sun and ignores the pull towards her. They simply don't think about each other that way at all. He is her boss, and she is his employee. He pays her well to be on-call for him 24/7, and that's their only connection. CC wouldn't even really say they were friends. I liked that about the story. I like that she wasn't pining away for him while he was oblivious.

In Credence, being around Wade's family, and the townspeople he grew up around, really made CC see him in a new way, and then when she has a tragedy in her life, he begins to see her in a new way too. Meanwhile, there's a lot going on in their little town, after his mom and the town council decide to try to lure single women to town. Their town is dying, and they need to infuse new blood into it. So, as women descend on the town, there's a little side story about Wade's older brother Wyatt falling in love with a new girl in town, Jenny. I'd love to see more about them in the future! So sweet! This was a really fun side plot, and set up quite a few stories for the future books in this series.

Wade and CC had quite the rocky road to happiness, but I was fully involved the entire time. I loved their slow fall into each other, and watching them each screw it up time after time was painful, and funny, and sad, and beautiful. They really learned what true home and happiness looked like, with each other, and it was a beautiful thing. I highly recommend this story, and I look forward to more books in Credence!

I really, really loved this one! With a plot similar to the movie Two Weeks Notice or even the Kdrama What Happened to Secretary Kim, Nothing But Trouble will definitely keep you laughing and getting invested in both the main characters and the town of Credence,Colorado. Ms. Andrews has managed to imbue this comfortable story line into something funny, unique and sometimes bittersweet romance between Wade and CC. Who knew moving temporarily to a small town can ignite a whammy of sexual tension not known to these characters who've been together for more than 5 years. There are also a lot of secondary characters that needs to have their own book as well! Nothing But Trouble is sexy, smart, funny and a page turner which will make you crave more!

After kneeing her former boss for cornering her and trying to kiss her, Wade Carter hired Cecilia Morgan for six years to be his PA. She had to be at his beck and call 24/7. He was self-centered and a former NFL quarterback now doing promotional work and trying to write him memoir. Five and a half years later, CC finally has enough money to get a house by the ocean which would be her dream. When she finally gives her notice, Wade’s father falls ill and he must return home. He takes CC with him and she says she will stay through the summer and then he is to release her. She is now getting attached to a couple of the animals and everyone loves her in this small town. A really good story. I received a free copy from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

As a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy, I loved this book! I felt like I was reading a book version of the show. The hustle and bustle of the life of a surgeon was beautifully displayed as well as the emotional attachments of Natalie along with the cast of doctors and nurses that she works with.  Natalie and Jonah's story is different yet has a hint of a cliche. It's different because of Natalie's sheltered background--at first, I really struggled with the fact that she was a 32 year old virgin but her rationale did make a tiny bit of sense even if I felt that it was a bit far fetched. It's a complete cliche that Jonah is a player and that the quintessential player falls in love with the virgin who by no fault of her own becomes his temporary roommate. A sweet friends to lovers romance complete with a swoony worthy book boyfriends and comic relief in the form of Connor.

Although speaking of Connor, I struggled a bit with the epilogue changing to his POV. It is a terrific lead in to his book which I presume is the next book in the series, but I wanted to hear more from Jonah especially in light of what Natalie was enduring. How is she coping? How is she surviving both physically and mentally? Connor's POV the reader on gets a fraction of it. The epilogue is more Connor focused.

I am not into sport romance as such which is a good thing because Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews is not that. It does have former NFL quarterback Wade Carter who has many of the stereotypes I consider when thinking about sport figures. However, it is not about the game of football or how he needs to “fix” his image. It is more about being taken for granted, then deciding to move on with your life.

Self-centered people do not change without a strong wake up call, sometimes not even then. It is to Wade Carter’s credit that he saw the light sort of speaking. Knowing he could not make it without his assistant in his life served for him to begin looking at Cecilia Morgan differently. Cecilia has a soft spot for the former NFL player. I wasn’t sure at first if I thought she should let Wade manipulate her into going back to his small town to help him. Still in the end, Credence, Colorado was good for both of them.

Nothing But Trouble is a fun small town romance with transplanted and returning home characters. The bickering between did sound like an old married couple, which was so funny at times. The characters are engaging within a easy to follow story. Just the kind of escapism read I need after a busy rush day.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews
This was quite the love story. It hit Cecilia Morgan (long before it hit her boss Wade Carter) but worked she for him cleaning up his messes running at two am for things, being at his beck and call as his personal assistant. He was self-centered and took her for granted. When he decided he was going back to his home town to write the book about his life, she sure didn’t want to go. She had decided to end her employment with him, but his Father’s health faded and he had to go back home and help with the farm. For Wade’s Father CC decided she would stay, for a while. When she gave Wade notice, her bombshell hit him like a bomb. He couldn’t quite wrap his head around her telling him no, she is the only one who ever had. He got her back to his home in Credence Colorado and the bickering really started, they were like an old married couple. He finally figured out he didn’t want her leaving. So when she does how does he get her back? Do something she’ll never see coming!
This is quite the yarn, a well-played dance between the two, before they both realize they are in love with the other. Will he be too late? You’ll have to read the book. It is really a good read!

I received this book through Netgalley.com on the hopes that I would write a favorable review for the author which I am as I truly enjoyed this book. Pick it up you’ll be happy that you did! I have a new author that I will look for future books from!

Description as found on Netgalley.com:
For five years, Cecilia Morgan’s entire existence has revolved around playing personal assistant to self-centered former NFL quarterback Wade Carter. But just when she finally gives her notice, his father’s health fails, and Wade whisks her back to his hometown. CC will stay for his dad—for now—even if that means ignoring how sexy her boss is starting to look in his Wranglers.
To say CC’s notice is a bombshell is an insult to bombs. Wade can’t imagine his life without his “left tackle.” She’s the only person who can tell him “no” and strangely, it’s his favorite quality. He’ll do anything to keep her from leaving, even if it means playing dirty and dragging her back to Credence, Colorado, with him.
But now they’re living under the same roof, getting involved in small-town politics, and bickering like an old married couple. Suddenly, five years of fighting is starting to feel a whole lot like foreplay. What’s a quarterback to do when he realizes he might be falling for his “left tackle”? Throw a Hail Mary she’ll never see coming, of course.

So much fun and flirty and sexy good times! This is a friends to lovers or maybe we should call it boss to employee romance between Cecilia and Wade. First she works for him as his personal assistant and wants to quit and just as she is going to Wade ends up moving them back to his home town to take care of his ailing father. So much fun and witty banter and flirting fun to keep this story going. This had a slow burn to the romance but it was a hot one when it got going. Definitely recommend this one!

Cecilia Morgan "CC" has been Wade Carter's personal assistant for 5 1/2 years and she's ready to hang it up and move to California. She's had enough of letting down his girlfriends and running out for candy at 3am. Wade is a retired quarterback who's supposed to be working on his biography but it's not going well. When his father has a heart problem Wade decides to move back to his hometown for the summer to help out and work on his book. There's only one problem, CC doesn't want to go and turns in her resignation. Wade persuades her to give him the summer before leaving. Sparks start to fly when they're living under the same roof. Will they end up together? This is a great native son returns to his small town story and romance.
