Another wonderful addition to the Poetry Builders series, this installment teaches budding poets the basics of writing nonsense poems. I read this with my cubs, and we all had fun trying our hand at writing nonsense poems. I have to say, the Name Game poem is cute! There's a glossary at the end, and a for further reading section.

Lisa Bullard employs poetic vocabulary in an inviting text that pairs words and images. I would gladly use this as an introduction to the fine form of poetry. Well done!

Ah, the nonesense poem. Fun for many, a daunting task for some. Bullard's approach to teaching how to write a nonsense poem was fun, cute, and tried to make it seem easy. It takes a certain type of creative mind and humor to make up words and write things that do not make sense. This book would be a great addition to any home and classroom setting.
