I received this from Netgalley.com for a review.

92-year-old Henry Budge defies most of his family by escaping a rehab hospital to make his way to France for the ceremonies of the 70th observance of D-Day.

Quick read. A romantic (and not always believable) remembrance of love found and lost during the war.

An intriguing fictional study of a man's history, driving forces, loves, delusions. Compellingly written and threaded with haunting themes.

The Light from the Dark Side of the Moon tells the story of Henry Budge a 92 year old, war veteran from America. Henry has never gotten over the death of his war time love Elodie. The story switches from the past to present day, as Henry tries to finally make peace with his past.

I enjoyed the plot of the story and the characters of Henry and Elodie. However I found as the story went on, it became less believable and very easy to predict how the story would end.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC.
