I love when I find new to me authors and this book was a great read and interesting story.
I must admit that I was a bit confused at the beginning but that didn’t stoped me to keep reading it in one sitting.
A woman is trying to find out about her past, her lost father and on her journey there are many twists and secrets to be revealed and also a few hard decisions to be made.
The story is dealing with an issue that many people are going through and I liked that the story is reliable.
Looking forward to other books from the author.

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel is an exciting thriller. This book was really good. It has so many twists and turns. The author did an excellent job. I was hooked from the start, with a very unique plot line. I could connect with the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel gives readers a mix of "who done it" style mystery with a heavy dose of problems facing today's modern family. The story essentially revolves around two grown step siblings who decide to come to grips with the disappearance of their father two decades earlier. I appreciated the raw honesty of Sissel as she covered the emotional complexities of this issue and the varying coping mechanisms employed by children even into adulthood who have been abandoned by a parent. However, I felt at times that the sentiment was belabored and little was happening to move the story along. It is still a solid story with twists and turns I found enjoyable, and I am thankful for the opportunity to review this ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book isn’t my favourite by this author but it was still an ok read.
I felt that this book had too many plots within it and was a bit overwhelming

I had a really hard time getting through this book. I ended up stopping at 65%. I didn’t care about the characters and I wish they would have kept it to the story of where is the dad instead of all these other stories.

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel is a 4 star read for me. I enjoyed following Caroline through this story while she searches for her long-estranged father. Her aunt desperately wants to heal their relationship before she dies and Caroline wants to make her aunt's last wish come true.

The story is told in two different points of view, Caroline and Harris'. I definitely enjoyed Caroline's better, at least for the first 2/3 of the book and then I felt Harris' story picked up also.

There are many, many issues discussed including PTSD, depression, murder and abuse which at one point made me wonder if maybe there were too many of these issues. It felt a little draggy due to this at some points.

Overall I enjoy this author's work and would recommend this book. In my opinion it's part mystery, part journey of discovery and part family drama.

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel is the story of a family gone wrong mixed with suspense!

I enjoyed this book, although it was fairly easy to figure out - I did like the alternating story lines and the way they all came together. Caro & Harris has my heart from the beginning!

This book is a solid read - 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ me- if you are looking for an easy quick entertaining thriller read- Tell No One is for you !

Secrets and twists are what defines this book.

At times slow burn, at times fast paced, "Tell No one" is definitely a read you can pick up during a weekend and get engrossed in.

Caroline's dying Aunt last request for her was to find her (Caroline's) father. A father who abandoned her as a child, remarried another woman and had another child named Harris. Caroline loves her Aunt, who was like a mom to her and wants to do as her Aunt asked. Caroline decides to find her father but she uncovers things along the way that put her own life in danger.

I struggled getting into this book. The first half of the book was a bit slow and it did eventually pick up but then I even struggled with connecting with the characters.

This story is way beyond depressing! It is too....much for me! When adults cannot handle themselves and start taking drugs, cheating with the accounting in their business, risk everything, a beautiful wife, sons, daughter, I cannot deal with it! All of the main characters have to depressing problems; a high school coach, who is also the athletic director, buying drugs off of one his students?! A beautiful woman who made the wrong choice in high school, is now married to a crook, why did she make such poor decisions? Her parents divorced when she was little, and she never got over it! Heart pounding depression! No Thanks! Thank you Netgalley!

This book has secrets. This book has more secrets! Secrets that are to Tell No One. But eventually secrets are hard to hide.
Caroline Corbett has been estranged from her father, Hoff, for over 30 years. She hasn't had any desire to be in contact or to have anything do to with him. But she has Aunt Lanie who has one last wish before she dies and that's to see her brother to make peace with him. Caroline wants to honor her aunt's last wishes so she starts out on a mission to find her father and bring him back to Aunt Lanie.
Along this journey, Caroline is struggling with personal and emotional issues with her marriage and business. What secrets does she discover? What is she going to do?
Then there's Harris. He's the step son of Hoff. Harris doted on his step father. He was his hero....until.....more secrets.
I was pulled into this trove of secrets from the beginning of the book. I felt for Caroline. She wanted to do something for her aunt but it opened up a whole desperate search that revealed shocking events. Ms. Sissel developed characters that were each unique and I could get a feeling of who they were....good and bad. The issues they were living with were heart wrenching and each one had different things they were trying to overcome or failing at. They seemed like hopeless situations.
I didn't get the connections to each other of the characters right away but that also contributed to the secrets in this book. I never expected where this book took me at the end. It was a shock to me!
I love the switch in chapters between the two POVs of the main characters, Caroline and Harris. The way Ms. Sissel works this in the book to tie them together was perfect.
This book is titled Tell No One...but I think it's a novel to TELL EVERYONE to open it up and read a very good book.

This was a good fast paced thriller with enough twists and turns to keep you interested . The characters were well fleshed out . Just an overall good book

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel is a full length, standalone novel.
I want to be honest, the story gave me whiplash at times. I started reading and I couldn't get a grip on the charaters and it took me some time to get in the story.
Tell No One is a slow burn and when everything is revealed in the end the different strings come together nicely. But til this point I was confused.
I give solid 3,5 Stars.

From the start, I was drawn into the story of Caroline Corbett’s search for her father, who’d been missing thirty years. The story has more than one story line, which eventually come together as one, the puzzle pieces all fitting together perfectly. This is the kind of book where the slow burn of suspense keeps building right up to the surprising twist at the end. I highly recommend this novel!

Tell No One by Barbara Taylor Sissel  was a bit of a slow burn for me. It did turn out to be an interesting premise to a story that i ended up enjoying.
Tell No One is told from two points of view. Caroline a daughter to Hoff who is trying to figure out what happened to him before her aunt,  Hoffs sister dies of cancer. On her journey of trying to find her father she ends up learning things about her father she hadn't known by talking to people who knew her dad. Harris is Hoffs stepson who the only father figure he ever had was Hoff. Harris is now a father of two sons and is struggling with the loss of Hoff and football with a drug addiction. That has led his morals astray.
 The two stories although i knew they were step siblings were so different i wasn't sure how they were going to connect.  When they did it was definitely a shocker and i was glad that i continued reading.

Good mystery/thriller, although their was a lot of drama in this story too!

This book centers around two people. Caroline and Harris. Caroline is looking for her father Hoff whom she has not seen for 30 years. Meanwhile her marriage is in trouble and her aunt is dying of cancer. Harris is Caroline's step-brother, although they never met. When her father was married to Harris's mother, Caroline refused to go meet them. Now 30 years later, Harris is going through a really rough time and has some past troubles that won't leave him alone.

The story is told alternating between chapters about Caroline and her search and Harris and his mess of a life. There are parts that are exciting, making it a mystery/thriller, but overall with everything else going on it is just a whole lot of drama. It is not a bad story, but not one of the best or most exciting books, therefore I would give this book 3.5 stars if that was possible. Good enough to read and enjoy, but not so great I would go about recommending it to others.

Caroline's father disappeared from her life over thirty years ago. She had no hankering to look for him because what she knew and was told about him was disappointing. But his sister Lanie, the aunt who brought her up is at death's door and her wish is that she see her brother once more before she dies and Caroline is trying very hard to track down the illusive Hoff and bring him to Lanie's bedside.

Caroline does not realise that her quest for her father is going to make many people uneasy. From the people he worked with to those whom he had relationships/children with all are determined to block Caroline from her search. Caroline is determined however and despite a dangerous episode where someone runs her off the road, causing her to crash she still pursues the trail.


Disappointing though it is with the end result, the story of her search was a good one. It unearthed clues not only to her father's past but also to the histories of those who were linked to her father - and they were for the most very unsavoury. That is why people were not keen to allow her to unearth information about Hoff.


There were quite a few stories here apart from Hoff and Caroline and it detracted a bit from the main story.

A lover of all things football, I was pumped to realize this novel had a secondary football theme.

Unfortunately, it focused not at all on the actual game, and entirely on the corruption many colleges still face today. But oddly, it doesn't even focus much on that.

Why?

Well, this book has a multitude of story-lines, which eventually come together as one...but the road getting to that intersection is long, slow, dreary, and a rather painful one. (That's my polite way of saying this book is boring.)

Many people have commented about the amazing ending, but I found it to be anti-climatic. I wasn't surprised, I wasn't intrigued...frankly, it was entirely expected. I was impressed by the author's ability to tie many, many threads together, leaving no loose ends, but other than that...meh.

Caroline is trying to locate her estranged father in order to reunite him with his dying sister. This takes her on a journey into her own past and leads her to confront truths she has been avoiding since childhood.

I disconnected with this book about half way through when it really started dragging. I struggled on to the end although I no longer cared much whether Caroline found her dad or not.
