I’ll start by saying that the title for this book, The Nightmare Girl, is very apt because that Angie one is a right ‘mare altogether! Poor Joe didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he was just trying to help where others just stood by and watched.

I really enjoyed this book, I love Jonathan Janz books, he’s really good at starting things off as seemingly normal before becoming a bit sinister, taking a right turn at the supernatural and heading straight for crazy town. I really enjoyed the banter between Joe and Copeland, the police chief, it added a bit of lightness. For a book that has quite a violent edge to it, I mean we’re talking murder, rituals, cults, sacrifices etc.. I still had a right laugh with their banter.

This was my kind of book and it had such a disturbing edge to it, really good I flew through it! Would actually make a great movie.. I’d totally watch it! Highly recommend it especially for my horror friends or even those who just love a really good, really dark, thriller.
