Accidental Groom is the first book in the Accidental Love series by Dana Mason. each book can be read as a stand alone or as a part of a series with carry over characters.

Mac is the radio host that wakes most of Sacramento up every morning. The sultry voice that blares out of your speakers when you’re sipping your first coffee of the day, or driving to work, stuck in traffic. Everyone knows him, knows his reputation: ladies’ man, bad boy, eternally single commitment-phobe. Except, after one hell of a drunken accident, he has woken up married to a gorgeous green-eyed girl, Kelley, who he only met yesterday in a coffee shop. A killer hangover later, it turns out that this playboy is off the market.

Accidental Groom is so much more than I expected from the cover and blurb. Mac is not just an alpha male with some issues, he is one that is already taking steps to improve himself and has people there that call him out when he is not on the right track. Kelley has been through hell and has trouble asking for help. They hit it off right away, but both are admittedly a bit gun shy and have trouble sharing their pasts and their troubles. I liked seeing the pair find their way together, and work things out despite their fears. Emotional fear is the biggest obstacle they face, and seeing it slowly chipped away was satisfying. I love that things were not suddenly perfect once they admitted to themselves that they loved the other, they still needed to talk and work things out. This makes a read feel so very real, when perfect happiness is fought for rather than just assumed.

Accidental Groom is much more than a light hearted romp with a hasty marriage. There are serious issues addressed and a happy ever after that is well earned. I am going to have to keep my eyes open for the next book.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
You never know what you are going to get when you dive into a new author, but in this instance I was pleasantly surprised. Now any book where the couple wakes up married is pretty much an auto read for me- give them all to me! And I’m always really surprised by different author’s takes on it.
.
Our hero is a presenter for a radio show and a confirmed bachelor. Yet one day he sees this girl crying her eyes out and can’t get her out of his mind, so when he sees her again (not crying) he approaches her and asks her out (because well, she’s cute lol). One thing leads to another and they spend the weekend together and maybe accidentally get married.......
.
The thing I liked most about this book was how real it felt. It felt like real modern day dating (which honestly most feel like fantasy to me). It was a real developing relationship and they dealt with real issues including alcoholism. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that after all this realness the ending got wrapped up too tidily. Still though the right amount of real, sweet and 🔥🔥.

This story is great, Mac and Kelley found each other when they needed it the most. Mac is living through life without meaning and Kelley is trying to get over all the hard time. When Mac saw Kelley crying he feel protective but it was love and he don't know the feeling. The story developed from there to a beautiful love story that have high and low but is a great one. I enjoy reading this book and recommend it.
I received a ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.

I love Romantic Comedies. They are fun and exciting. And, Dana Mason hit a home run with this one. Accidental Groom was funny, emotional, interesting and sexy.
Mac was a hoot. Morning DJ … playboy … sexy … outgoing. But, married was never going to be one of attributes. One night, one girl, lots of chemistry and it's done. Now, he has some hard truths to face and even harder decisions. Can this woman, who he just met, actually be the one to bring the mighty Mac to his knees and realize that he can have a happily-ever-after?
Kelley has had a hard time of it. She never meant for anyone to see her fall apart. But, someone did. Now, that someone is asking her to get away for the week-end with him. After everything she found out, yea she needs to get away from it all. From losing her best friend and losing her boyfriend, the last thing she ever expected was to be a married woman. But, there is something about Mac that she is absolutely drawn too. Yep, he's hot, he has a reputation but he's also kind, considerate and caring. No one has ever cared about her like he does. She knows he doesn't want to be married, does she?
As they both confront their pasts while burning up the sheets, they come to realize that the “accident” may have been the best thing that happened to them.
Accidental Groom was wonderful. I loved all the different sides of Mac and how he truly helped Kelley in her time of need. He may have been made out to be a playboy but his values really wouldn't let him. In the end he really was a hero and the character that held this story together. His sister … let's just say that she redeemed herself in the end and leave it at that. And, Kelley's BFF … still not sure if I like or trust her. But, Kelley, yea, she had me at the beginning and totally grabbed on when her story came out. Loved her. Kelley and Mac together were phenomenal, fun, crazy, loving and perfect for each other. Dana Mason really pulled me into this story and had me smiling, laughing, crying and hoping that Mac and Kelley would see what was right in front of them.

Accidental Groom
by Dana Mason

This is one of those books that puts you through a range of emotions. The characters are complex, stemming from prior life experiences. Our two main characters are both broken which actually brings them together.

Mackensey, he’s a dj on the morning show and his on air persona is a womanizer player. He’s not happy about being portrayed as that, but it helps to keep his one night stands from thinking about having more.

Kelley is a college student dealing with a broken heart, who’s life is a mess. She just lost her best friend and her boyfriend on the same day, yet she’s stuck seeing them in her apartment together every day.

Upon them meeting, even though Mac seen her crying the week before, it’s not quite insta-love, but mutual lust was definitely involved. Little did they know they would be married the very next night. Now, they just need to get to know each other.

This story highlights real life situations of death, along with cheating and alcoholism and their consequences. The plot of this book is well planned, and the characters were so defined and strong.

This story will pull at your heart when you get into reading it. Because it sure did mine!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I voluntarily received a copy of this title for an honest review!

Damn, another one that I just couldn’t stop ready. The characters were interesting and complex.....the storyline was exciting and so full of drama. I’m always a huge fan of accidental marriages and/or pregnancies. I was really hoping this one would end with the later..

This book also deals with substance abuse and low life scums. Lol. Eric.....needs his face rearranged more often I’m thinking. I myself would’ve let Megan know my thoughts more clearly and I don’t think things would’ve ended as nice with her.

Kelley and MAC have the same taste in everything which is a little too convenient for me! But it kept the story flowing. I really enjoyed Emiky...I hope she can get a book too. All this death dealing is sad.

Overall I would love to read more by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the read of Dana Mason’s, Accidental Groom.

Mac is the sexy voice of one of Sacramento’s morning radio shows. Single. Bit of a rascal. Commitment shy.

Kelley, recently relocated, is running from a past she wants to forget.

The two go from just meeting, to having coffee, end up sharing a night of way too much drinking…and wake up married. Talk about a doozy of a hangover!

Accidental Groom was engaging in many ways. It is a story of hurt, betrayal, facing your fears, overcoming insecurities, learning trust, lust and love.

I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

The opinions expressed are my own.

Sigh, I fell in love with Mac, sorry Kelley but he is mine... Poor Kelley is broken hearted when she finds her boyfriend in bed with her best friend Megan- hated Megan and Erik two very selfish people. Mac sees Kelley crying and even though he is supposedly a player and commitment phobe and supposedly doesn't care about girls I didn't see that he cared about Kelley from the beginning. This isn't a hearts in eyes story it deals with some heavy topics and can be heartbreaking but there are also a whole lot of smiles...Grab a copy and Enjoy!

This is an amazing read! It is about a first date (weekend together), that turns into a commitment. Kelley and Mackensey learn to trust and to love. This is a book you have to read, it is hard to put down once you start.

I was sucked in to Accidental Groom from the get go. Despite the fact that Mac was is a bit brash he was immensely likeable. Looking out for Kelley, without even really knowing her was really sweet. I'm a sucker for an accidental marriage. I always find them to be fun and entertaining and Accidental Groom was no exception.

There were quite a few issues happening in this book, so despite the light tone there were some heavy moments. One of the side stories involves Kelley losing her BFF. While she also lost a boyfriend, that's nothing compared to the betrayal by her BFF. I appreciated how Mac helped her through this, and also the end result of that whole situation. It was well done and realistic.

3.5 Stars A good read with engaging content and believable characters. Accidental Groom is the first book in the Accidental Love series and my first read by Dana Mason. I like her writing style and will be looking to read more

Overall, this was a cute story, but I felt that the relationship between Mac and Kelley was rushed. It's not that I can't buy into a couple falling in love quickly, but I need to believe it and I just didn't in this case, Frankly, a week seems a bit much and although it felt as though they definitely liked each other, their rapid declarations of love seemed a bit of a stretch.

Ultimately, the relationship with Kelley's ex-BFF wraps up in the epilogue a little too sweetly/neatly for my taste given all that had transpired throughout the book (maybe I'm just a petty person?). I'll definitely be interested in seeing what the future books in the series sound like and would definitely consider checking them out.

Accidental Groom by new to me author Dana Mason, is an emotional and sexy read. The characters are easy to get to know and their backstories are both interesting and heartrending. This is the first book from the author's Accidental Love series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Mackensey Thomas is a well-known radio DJ in the Sacramento area. His top-rated morning show is quite popular and he looks amazing plastered to the side of a bus. He enjoys the lifestyle his occupation provides, however, he is nothing like his radio personality. Mac has never been in a long-term romantic relationship, and playing the field has always worked for him. Kelley Kontos is a 25-year-old college student. She used to be a professional dancer earning a decent living when tragedy struck. She basically lost everything, including her self esteem. Kelley's present living situation is less than ideal, but she is a tough cookie and getting through her last year of school and saving money are her primary goals. Then she meets Mac at the local coffee shop and he becomes a priority as well.

Mac and Kelley share an instant connection, and within a very short time they accidentally and drunkenly get married. They agree to address their new relationship status after Kelley's final exams. They really like each other and discover how perfect they are together. Getting married ends up being the best decision they both ever made.

I liked this book. Ms. Mason pours wonderful passion into her book and as a result, her characters are compelling and full of intensity. This is a well-conceived story and the couple's sexy times are super hot. If you are in the mood for an emotional romance with a ton of heat, pick up a copy of Accidental Groom.

Accidental Groom by Dana Mason: Mac loves his job as a morning radio show host, although he could do without some of the public scrutiny and being recognized while in public. He’s confident, sexy, smooth, charming, and determined to remain single. He’s never been in love nor does he ever want to fall in love. He’s clear and up-front with women about he offers and it’s not commitment.

Kelley is a former professional dancer who is trying to finish her college degree while also teaching dance. She wants to own a dance studio one day and is working to achieve her new dream. She’s smart, loyal, generous, and just trying to keep it all together.

Mac is captivated by a beautiful woman one day and he’s surprised when he runs into her again. Before long they go from agreeing to a lunch date to a weekend trip to waking up married. While there’s a definite attraction, they barely know each other as their relationship has accelerated at warp speed.

They enjoy each other’s company, but neither are quite sure what they should do next. Neither of them is exactly ready for marriage, but Mac is oddly reluctant to take that step to let Kelley go and go their separate ways. As they start to get to know each other post-wedding, they provide support, comfort, and a lack of judgment over their respective pasts and baggage.

Accidental Groom is entertaining, sexy, and a rollercoaster. Dana Mason developed complicated characters and pasts while developing a relationship from marriage to dating. Ms. Mason provided conflict, surprises, heat, banter, and interesting secondary characters. Fans of Tawna Fenske and Terri Osburn will enjoy Accidental Groom.

One never knows what they will get, when reading a new author, but I was very pleased with this first read and look forward to reading the books that will follow in the series. The fascinating characters and an interesting plot written in a provocative narrative, make this a lovely read, which I had a difficult time putting down.

Mack ( Mackensey) first lays eyes on Kelly when he sees her on a bus stop bench, crying her eyes out and talking on he cellphone. Assuring himself that she isn't in danger, when a woman approaches her, he rushes off to his job. He is a co-host of the top-rates radio show in Sacramento. The following week, when he sees her again at Starbucks, he does approach her, and they find that they have an instant chemistry. She seems to be the only person in Sacramento who does know him or his radio show. While she does reveal to him why she had been crying, she walked into the apartment she shares with her best friend, to find her best friend naked on the sofa with Kelly's boyfriend, there are other things in her past that she doesn't share, but so does he. Nevertheless, he invites her to go to Reno for Comedy Fest, which he is Mc'ing and totally out of character, she agrees. Despite both of them having a past, that would leave them to abhor alcohol, they end up drunk and married. Neither one is anxious to annul the marriage and they decide to put it temporarily on hold. Misunderstandings and interference by others almost come between them, but can they overcome their past hurts and realize that they are meant for each other?

This review is not going to be long. I am not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.

This is the first book by Dana Mason that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved how the characters grew and interacted with each other. I would defiantly buy a book written by Dana Mason.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was equally as gorgeous as the dreamboat gracing the front cover. It had heat, hot romance, heartbreak and hope and I loved everything about it. The story pulled you in with it's all consuming intensity and didn't let go until the concluding page and boy did it deliver.

Mac was everything I wanted him to be.....drop dead good looking, swoon worthy with that element of reckless 'bad boy' past surrounding him. But what I didn't count on was how sentimental and thoughtful he would be which only ensured that I fell for him further. He really was the epitome of a hot hero and I was living for him throughout this story.

Kelley was a stunning character with a complex back story that was revealed layer by layer as the narrative progressed. Her vulnerability and strength shone through in equal measures and made her the perfect heroine to this stunning story. I don't want to go into the story line in detail as I would hate to give away a spoiler or two but just know that it is filled to the brim with passion for life and love and delivers a strong story you won't want to miss.

Accidental Groom is everything it says on the tin and more. I was honestly surprised by the heartfelt story lurking behind the demi God on the front cover and know that it is a story that will touch many hearts. I'm very much looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

My favorite part of reviewing is reading a story by an author that is new to me. My next favorite is reading a story-line that is less mainstream. Sacramento radio DJ and a student? Troubled pasts? This all worked because who doesn't love for their characters to have some issues?!

Mac and Kelley's story was refreshing. There were heated moments but I didn't quite get that 'sizzle alert' that was mentioned in the description. There was some instances that I felt more told that Mac was a ladies man/bad boy rather than portrayed through the story. Regardless of these mentions it was still a good story and I'm looking forward to seeing what else Dana Mason has written.

Enjoy!

Okay read, okay story!

I really hate to say a story written by an author is just okay, but that’s what this book was for me. The characters were interesting and the secrets had potential. However, the main characters needed more developing in my opinion, the other characters seemed to be thrown in when needed, not because they were necessary to build the world or characters. The plot moved very quickly initially, but there were times I felt the plot should have been better developed as well instead of this happened, dealt with, move on. Maybe it’s because I find myself wanting to understand more of the why, and the reactions and feelings of the characters.

As I said, it’s an okay read and story.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.

This was the first book I have read by this author and I am sure it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the book and the relationship between Mackensey and Kelley. This story was like a soap opera and I couldn’t get enough of it. Once I started reading I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. I loved that both Mackensey and Kelley had pasts they wanted to keep secret because they wanted to be who they are now and not have the past be who they were. These two wanted to be together and yet they were afraid of almost wanting too much because they just didn’t think they deserved it. You could feel the attraction and chemistry between them and rooted for them to realize they were perfect for each other.
