Great book.

This is the first book I have read from this author. The storyline was easy to follow and quite enjoyable.

Can’t wait to read more.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Corruption abounds throughout the political system. Congress cannot get anything done. What would you do? One nameless group decides they are going to act in the name of the greater good. They tell the tow boat captain, whose boat they seize, that injury to human life will be minimal but acceptable. What the leader of this group of hijackers doesn’t know is that there is one among them that has a different agenda. The FBI is at a loss to determine who these people are or what their objective is. Time is running out and a nameless caller to the lead FBI agent may be the only chance to stop the attack.

Disruption by J.B. Jamison is a very timely novel in light of how Americans are currently feeling. The current occupant of the White House got there largely with promises of standing up for blue-collar America and implementing a course correction with regard to our country’s moral compass. The plot revolves around a nameless, shapeless network of individuals who feel powerless with regard to politics and morality. While the plot of the book may be an extreme example of what might happen, I believe it is still quite possible based on recent history. I encourage every student of history and politics to read Disruption and give it 4/5 stars.

I spent a good time reading Disruption. It is definitely a breathtaking and page turner book.

Two things drove me to read it. The first one was the presentation of the book made by J. B. Jamison when he talked about the relationship between his family members and the Mississippi river and he told that some of them have been involved since generations in river jobs. His father was a towboat Captain. The second was also about the author. I was touched by the fact that he was sharing his opinions and answered readers' reviews by explaining events described in his book.

There were many characters and the author didn't spend enough time to introduce them to the reader. However, I think that FBI agent Emily's character (the main character) is well designed and was inspiring.

The story is about an unknown group that would like to create what they call a "disruption" by deliberately designing a plan to sabotage all bridges along the Mississippi river using nuclear weapons. They were expecting that it will draw attention to the unfair and bad situation of certain social categories. Thanks to Emily Graham and her team as well as to Captain Charlie's wisdom the plan didn't reach its goals.

I highly recommend it, especially to those who like fast pacing mystery books.

Decent book that did not capture my imagination. The organization that the bad guys operated under was not fully explained and the even darker organization of good guys operating behind the scenes was explained even less. The scenes between the 'grandfather' and 'grandson' never developed into a coherent segment of the story. Having said all that, this is a readable book with enough plot turns to keep a reader engaged.

This was a solid, fast read. Good suspense, interesting characters, and a realistic setting. I enjoyed the hooks and the ending. Recommended.
