Summer did the unexpected, offering to take a biker to California. While I admired her, part of me was just slightly afraid for her. That is until I learned more about Summer. This girl was on a mission.
Niyol is your typical biker, good looking and tough. Not a lots of words, but he does make his point. The result was fun and sexy trip across the country – until there was trouble. The suspense and drama throughout the book left one guessing and giving me a surprise or two.

Enjoy but did take away to get into. Story line was great and characters were great. Would tell friends.

Here’s the thing. When I see a tattooed man on the cover, I expect the H to be a badass.

When I read that the story is about MC, I expect the story to be badass.

So when I don’t get badass hero and badass story, I believe I am justified to be disappointed. But a part of me says that I should have known better when the heroine’s name is Summer – the least badass name one could think of.

I was half tempted to stop midway because the story was just too chirpy for my liking.

The badass part only came in much later into the story. Better than nothing, I supposed, and for that I was glad I didn’t stop when I really wanted too. For me, the story got interesting when things start to go down south between Summer and Niyol; especially when Niyol’s crew start to be in the picture.

But what’s frustrating is that I was left hanging to wonder what happened to Lisa and Charles. I want to know so badly!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the online copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was well on the way to being a four star read for me. I loved the road trip aspect that forced two very different characters to look beyond their first impressions and made it increasingly difficult for them to ignore their attraction. However it all fell apart for me in the second half when the MC part of the story seemed nonsensical. I really love a good MC romance and this did not deliver for me in that aspect. I would still be interested if all comes together in the next book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

**I received a copy of Her Wild Ride from Net Galley and Bookouture in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine and not solicited in any way.**

Her Wild Ride: Red Dragons MC Series by Heather Van Fleet is her first in what I hope is a ongoing series. This is Niyol and Summer's story of new beginnings and a future together. Summer will have to learn the ways of being a Biker's Old Lady as well a Niyol finding his way after spending two years in prison. Somehow they'll both have to mesh his re-entry into the Red Dragons after being in prison for a crime that he was set up by his dad and Summer is a middle school teacher and cheer coach wants the big house, kids and picket fence, can they mesh both together?

Niyol has just been released from prison and has planned a road trip from Chicago to California but when his sister Emily sets him up with her best friend Summer they both decide to see if they won't kill each other (She does like Country music) and he wants to smoke (" not even if that's the last cigarette on earth"). She fight for him when some preppy boys decide to rile up Nye and they'll survive a tornado in Colorado. But Niyol's Princess will be there for him when rogues try to end his life twice and maybe they'll have a happy ever after.

I thought that this story was really enjoyable but I did feel that is lacked something in the flow which would have made it even more enjoyable for me. I thought that the characters were strong and well developed. Four stars from me for this one!

Her Wild Ride is a unique look into the MC life filled with suspense, secrets, and fascinating characters. I've read a lot of MC romances but enjoyed very few. Heather Van Fleet's take on the Red Dragon MC and it's reigning prince, Niyol Lattimore was refreshing and entertaining. Niyol's princess, Summer, is delightful, funny, and sweet. I loved the dynamic between them.

While there's definitely action and suspense, I found Her Wild Ride to be character driven. Niyol isn't your typical MC hero. I loved his vulnerability and insecurities. He and Summer have a lot in common despite growing up in completely different worlds. The road trip that throws them together is sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing, but most importantly, it's a journey of discovery. They not only find each other, but they discover their own strengths. And, if you're looking for the typical motorcycle-riding alpha that's found in most MC romances, get ready to fall in love with a guy who meets his girl on equal footing.

The Red Dragon MC is in transition as the series starts and, for me, there was a little confusion as to what was happening as the story is set up. By the end, things are clear and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

Her Wild Ride tells the story of Niyol and Summer. Niyol has just been released from prison, for something he didn't do. He's now leaving his life and Motorbike club behind. His stepsister was going to drive him across the country, but when she isn't able to, her best friend Summer steps in.
Of course, this being a romance book things don't quite go to plan and their journey is full of life-altering experiences for both of them.
Niyol is quite sweet, despite his bad boy persona, it's obvious that there's a nice guy underneath (which is of course why bad boy romances are so appealing). He does hide it well from Summer and despite their obvious attraction for one another, he blows hot and cold. This actually happens more than once, which could be quite annoying, but the rest of the story made up for it.
As well as the romance angle, there's a lot more going on here. With Niyol (or Hawk as he's known to his MC brothers) having to decide who he wants to be and what is important in his life. He also finds out things that had been hidden to him since he was little. The book ends with the conclusion of this story, but it's obvious that there's more still to be told, both with the single members of the MC gang, but also with what will happen to the MC.
All in all a good read and I'd be interested to read more in the series when they come out.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have read and loved all of Heather Van Fleet’s novels, so needless to say, I was so excited to dive into Her Wild Ride!

Centering around Summer and Niyol, who are complete opposites from two very different worlds. Summer is a middle school teacher that has just been dumped by her cheating fiancé. When Summer’s friend, Emily, asks her if she could drive her stepbrother (Niyol) cross-country, Summer is game! Niyol has been raised in a motorcycle club and fresh out of prison and isn’t looking for any romance or ever friendship with Summer! As fate would have it, the two are stuck together longer than anticipated and they both start to catch feelings! From that point, I just knew Heather Van Fleet would “wow” me!

I love MC novels and Her Wild Ride is a fabulous way to kick off a series! This 4.5 star novel had plenty of steam and also a good amount of suspense which keep me glued to my kindle! Heather Van Fleet never lets me down and I really enjoyed what she had in mind for Summer and Niyol! If you love MC romances like I do, Her Wild Ride is a must read!

I have a few mixed feeling about this book, which will make writing this review pretty difficult. So here we go....

Niyol (Ny) is the son of the president of the Red Dragon MC. He was born in to the club and has spent every minute being a member. Until his dad turned on him and set him up for a crime he didn't commit. Now two years later, after serving time behind bars, he's on a mission to change his life for the better. What better way to do that than travel across country to meet up with a former childhood girl-friend, right? Now he's got to figure out how to get there.

Summer is looking for a break. A break from working at the same diner every summer for the past ten years. A break from her life now that she caught her fiance cheating on her weeks before the wedding. What better way to do that than to help her best friend's stepbrother. He needs a ride across the country and she'd love to see the ocean her mother loved. Easy peasy, right?

From the beginning, the sexual tension between Ny and Summer is apparent, which only escalates the longer they travel with each other. But it's the "getting to know" each other that this book revolves around. Bit by bit we learn about them and their struggles/dreams. But that's where my mixed feelings start to get in the way.

There are a few times when things are getting hot and heavy between these two and then...cold as ice. I can understand it happening once, but the fact that it happens more than that actually just irritated me as a reader. There are a couple of other instances, but if I mention them, it'll be considered a spoiler and I don't want to do that to you guys.

Look, all in all, this was a good read and I'll probably end up picking up the next one because....well...now I wanna know what happens with those other MC men.

Hmmmm, I'm undecided on this book. Niyol and Summer are great. She is strong, most of the time, and doesn't take all Niyol's non-responses/smart comments lying down...she gives back.
What I didn't enjoy, was the long winded build up to any sort of action, be it drama, answers to questions etc...just too wordy for my. Towards the half way mark, it improved greatly, with all the 'feels' I enjoy - mystery, intrigue, lust, lots of drama and emotions were finally expressed. Overall, an enjoyable, if a bit too long, read.

HER WILD RIDE is exactly that for the reader—a wild ride. Summer and Niyol barely know each other, but for various reasons, decide to share a ride from Illinois to California. As they set off for their destination, they get to know each other, and sparks fly between the teacher, who’s on summer break, and the biker, who’s just out of prison. Ms. Van Fleet perfectly sets up this steamy romance with these two seemingly opposite characters, because despite appearing as different as night and day, on the inside they are both struggling. During the course of their trip, they find that maybe they aren’t so different after all.

Nobody does romance like Heather Van Fleet, and HER WILD RIDE is no exception. The flirty banter, the subtle touches and looks, and of course, the passion and sexy times are brilliantly executed, and kept me swiping through my Kindle wanting more. Niyol is rough around the edges, but when he finally lets go a little and opens his heart to Summer, wow can he be something romantic. And Summer is smart and protective of herself. She’s not going to be someone’s second best anymore. I love that while she is conflicted and emotional on the inside with Niyol, that she’s strong on the outside.

Yes, HER WILD RIDE is a biker romance, but mostly it’s an adventure--not only in terms of Summer and Niyol’s road trip and the plot twists and turns along the way, but in terms of how this unlikely couple fall for each other and resolve their issues to get to their Happily Ever After. Highly recommended for lovers of steamy romance, HER WILD RIDE will have you on the edge of your seat and swooning during your entire read!

Niyol's girl calls him out on things, "I rolled my eyes and shoved his shoulders. “You are such a crass, dirty man.” He laughed..." Niyol does love to get his girl going, "she pulled at the end of my hair, not hard. “And you’re being a jerk.” I liked this book, I liked Niyol.

Well I’ve finally done it! I’ve found something to fill the void that Sons of Anarchy left when the series ended. This book ticked all the boxes, it had just the right amount of everything to make it a perfect smokin’ hot sizzling read!! I cannot wait for the second- I really do hope there are a lot more (hope you’re listening Heather & Bookouture!). So far this is my joint favourite read of 2019!

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. I enjoyed this book . I enjoyed the whole "chase" of the two characters and the "hot and cold" ratio of it all. The story was not predictable and kept me guessing which is always a good thing. I dont like to have already figured out the ending half way through the book. I am patiently awaiting more on these characters .

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. This is not your typical MC romance, however it’s a great start to a new series. Niyol just got out of prison for a crime he didn’t commit (typical right?) but truly he was set up, and what makes it worse, he was set up by his dad. Trying to avoid his old crew upon his release (after narcing on his dad) Niyol tries to move but needs a ride. Along comes Summer who’s recovering from a broken relationship. She’s willing to drive him to California, a place she’s always wanted to go. Upon meeting there’s instant heat but his attitude was truly lacking. At some points you could almost hate Niyol, but along the way there’s these little glimmers of the good within. Their trip is not easy with weather woes, car trouble, and friends of Niyol’s dad out for revenge but thei relationship strengthens with each trial they go through. This story has a nice balance of heat, intrigue, suspense and your typical bad-boy troubles. It’s the start of a new series and I hope book two is coming out soon. 5 stars

Niyol is fresh out of prison and on the run from his old MC - the Red Dragons. His father was the one who framed him and now that the tables are turned Niyol thinks the club is after him. He needs a ride to San Diego to see an old friend and gets one from his sister's best friend, Summer. Summer has no idea what she's getting into when she meets Niyol but her life hasn't been perfect either. Before long the two of them find out they have a lot in common. Enjoyable MC romance

Well. I believe this is my first book by Heather Van Fleet... and boy did I pick a great one to start with! It was fun. It was sexy. It was full of drama. I loved it!

Niyol and Summer are from two completely different worlds. Odds are, there worlds would have never collided if not for Niyol getting out of prison and needing to move to California to get away from his MC. (Summer is his step-sister's best friend.)
I thought this book was pretty good... a bit different from her previous books - which I was expecting since I read the blurb prior to reading this one.

If you are looking for a story with a road trip, a bad boy/good girl and an MC.... this is the book for you.
This is book 1 in this new series.
