The handling of the plot was original. I liked the characters and wanted to get back to it when I had to put it down. Not the usual cookie cutter I liked the little twists. There are two supporting characters I wonder about. If the author wanted me to be intrigued enough to come back to find out what happens with those two, I'm hooked. This is not a cliff hanger and a good solid read.

Cute book. PG 10-12. Clean romance. Historical romance. Too much adventure and little romance for me. This book is perfect for middle grades

Good main characters set in the past. Story is easy to read, you can pick up the book and remember what has happened. I will read more books by Penny Hampson.
