This was a good book with a nice small cast of characters. I liked that the story kept moving and most of it transpired within one night. I really liked that Bree was fiercely protective of her siblings and was doing everything she could to protect them. It was very interesting to show the domino effect of the decisions made by the individuals and the mentality that led them to the choices they made. An all around good quick read. |

This book was a quick and easy read - I wasn't really convinced by the story and the characters didn't really appeal. That said was relatively enjoyable and would recommend for someone fancying a quick read! |
Sisters Bree and Alissa Walker share a special bond. Neglected by their parents, they have always looked out for one another. But one day, sixteen-year-old Alissa goes missing. Then she receives a chilling text message. Someone has Alissa. But Bree will have to give up something very precious in exchange. It soon becomes clear that the person behind the message knows a lot about the dark truths within the Walker family and will go to any lengths to get revenge. And as the search for Alissa continues, Bree discovers something about her brother Tyler that she wishes she hadn’t, a dangerous secret, which is also the key to bringing her little sister back home... This was an intense, addictive thriller with an ending that you won't see coming... At least I didn't see it coming! This was a crazy story about family bonds and revenge and I loved it! This book is much better than, Keep Her Close, also a great book! I had to stick with it until the heart-stopping, bitter end. I haven't read one quite like this in a while. There are many twists and turns right up to the end. I am going to read more of Erik Therme's books, I like his style! |
Talk about dysfunctional families and the Walker's are right on top of that list. This story strikes a very good balance between family drama & suspense, without getting too touchy/Feely which is something I really liked. I love how all the characters in here have their shortcomings and flaws, yet such strong personas. The plot is very very good! It's fast-paced, twisty and a real page turner! I like how despite her age, Bree Walker shows such maturity, and rationality even as time is running out for her sister Alissa. She's a personification of the saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". Going through the letter from Erik Therme at the end, made me appreciate this book better. I did find the finale to end a bit abruptly as I was left with quite some questions about the fate of some characters. I really hoped for some closure. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend reading it. Thank you Netgalley, Erik Therme & Bookouture for an arc! |
This story is very much about family bonds. More so the ones between siblings. I had to feel sorry for Bree. She comes from a broken home where her dad is nowhere to be seen and her mother is working all hours just to put a roof over their head and food on the table. Even Bree has had to put a side any hopes and dreams while she works to help pay the bills and pretty much is bringing up her younger teenage sister. My heart really went out to her. As soon as the story begins, trouble isn’t far behind. Not long after arriving home, Bree ends up on a mission to find her missing sister and we are taken on a thrilling and relentless journey into finding out the why and who. I have to mention Liz who is Alissa’s friend. I loved her character and her determination to help Bree regardless of Bree not wanting it. The thought of her on her little moped just made me smile. I Know You is a suspenseful read that had me racing through the pages. The author had me feeling lots of emotions and I loved the journey I was taken on with revelations and twists and turns a plenty. A gripping and entertaining read. |

I enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful and thrilling. The characters were believable and drew me in. Bree as the ildest sibling protected her brother and sister no matter what. I highly recommend this book. |
A family member goes missing and brings estranged siblings together in the hunt to find their sister. Many twists that will keep you guessing who abdicated her and why! Thank you to Netgalley and Bookstore for the preview! |
Quick-moving, short thriller. New author to me. Broken family of two sisters and one brother, who live with separated parents. The older sister, Bree in her twenties, realizes that her younger teen sister Alissa has disappeared and has been gone for several days. She starts retracing her sister's steps and ends up locating her absent father and wayward brother, Tyler, still unable to locate Alissa. There are many unexpected twists and turns in this story which I did not expect and they kept me reading straight through to find out where the poor sister was! A few other interesting characters scattered about. Not the best written story, but the plot was intriguing enough to keep me interested to the very end. This family needs a lot of help and poor Bree needs a break! |
A good thriller regarding domestic drama and how far you would go to protect your loved ones. Probably just a three star from me I’m afraid but an ok read |
This was an exciting triller that I will not soon forget. Had some difficulty falling asleep having read it. The writer depicts some super stressful situations that have a significant impact on the lives of the characters. I highly recommend this amazing book. |
I love thrillers with dysfunctional families, they always add to the atmosphere and I Know You was no exception. Fast paced and while I found the ending a little weak I still enjoyed. |
I've read and enjoyed previous books by Erik Therme and was looking forward to read this new title. This a fast paced gripping thriller with plenty of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. It deals with a dysfunctional family and how despite all the despair when danger looms the main character's devotion to her family and their well being is unquestionable. Thanks #Netgalley, #Bookouture, and #ErikTherme for a chance to read this book. |
I Know You by Erik Therme is a fast-paced thriller that immediately pulls you into the heart-pounding drama, and will not let up until the final pages. If it is an adrenaline rush you seek, this novel delivers in spades. On the surface, the Walkers are a highly dysfunctional family, with oldest daughter Bree left almost exclusively to oversee the upbringing of her two younger siblings. When Bree receives a text stating, simply, "find your sister", the race is on to find sixteen year old Alissa before it is too late. When the abductor offers to exchange Alissa for brother Tyler it is up to Bree to not only find her estranged brother, but to uncover his connection to Alissa's kidnapper. At the heart of this novel is family loyalty and devotion. The Walkers have experienced alcoholism, abuse, and estrangement, yet Bree does not hesitate to sacrifice her own well-being for the sake of her fractured family. This is an unpredictable read, full of twists and turns that I did not see coming. I will not hesitate to read more from Erik Therme. Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC. |
