I really enjoyed the big, sprawling scope of Existence. It’s packed with big ideas—space junk, alien contact, global media chaos—and manages to feel both futuristic and grounded. The story moves through different perspectives and moments, but it all comes together around that central question of what it means for humanity to face the unknown. A dense, thoughtful read with moments of real tension and wonder.

David Brin is still an important writer. I liked this book and will buy a copy to add to my student library.
