I thought the representation of family in this book was a real eye opener. Some families might work this way, but I thought it was really harsh. Although I am certain some people have been in that situation. I think the relationship between Kara and Harry progressed rather quickly and they made some decisions that should have waited until the whole situation had time to cool down and start to heal. I didn't like how Kara had to leave to heal, but I am glad Harry went after her.

The feelings in this book are a lot of back and forth, like life.

Kara and Harry spent one night together which resulted in Kara being left alone and pregnant. Her family rejects her and so she leaves town and gives birth to a son Phil with the help of Harry's mother who promises that she will tell Harry.

Twenty seven years later they meet again at an art exhibition and she realises that Harry never knew about Phil and that he is now also a grandfather. Phil ask them all to move back home with him but they all have a lot of emotionss to work through - Harry is furious with his mother for not telling him and Kara has not been back since her family rejected her.

This is a great story of family emotions and how hard it can be to forgive and forget and move on
