This book describes the history of Chick-fil-A and the principles on which this fast-food chain was built. The author did a great job describing Chick-fil-A's beginnings and the various outreaches done within communities and college students, building up the operators, as well as how the cows came to be. The book went into its relationship to the Peach Bowl. I like that the author emphasized the point that Chick-fil-A is built on Christian principles. The book dragged on at points but overall, I liked reading how Chick-fil-A was built on Christian principles.

The story behind Chick-Fil-A was very informative and interesting. It did indeed explain a lot. Of why they do the things they do.

This book covers the history of Chick Fil A and in particular it's branding initiatives. You'll learn about the famous cows campaign, their college football legacy and the wonderful personality of founder Truett Cathy. Very fun to read as I have several friends who have worked at Chick Fil A, including in the marketing department. I'm stepping into a new role that is more customer service facing, and so I'm excited to think about rebranding our department and implementing some of these practices.

Unlike some business books, it also had elements of a narrative, which I loved. Heads up, there are a lot of references to faith, and since it was written by a former leader of the company, it's not an "expose." Still worth the read!

Chick-fil-A has always been an interesting company to me. I even did a report on them in college and I've read a number of books on the company. From their incredible successes to their great food and dedicated fan base, Chick-fil-A has become my standard for service in the fast-food industry. Covert Cows was an easy book to get into and was an interesting read. I enjoyed learning more about Chick-fil-A through this book.

If you are looking for a good business book to help and develop your leadership staff, this is it. After living in Georgia for a few years, we always wondered how businesses like CFA came to fruition and became successful. This book was easy to get into and gives its share.of a-ha moments. More businesses especially in the food service industry should ascribe to this philosophy.

Thank you to Nelson Books and Net Galley for an ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. I am a fan of Chick -Fil-A and honestly, I've long wondered what it is that makes their staff well trainined, keeps people coming and has been the secret to their success. They make no bones about their faith, yet they don't push it on people. Some won't appreciate that, but I think that this book is positive and a good representation of the culture of the company.

Inspirational. This book is more than Chick-fil-a, it's living Biblically.

Chick-Fil-A is extremely successful and still stays closed on Sundays. They don't do a lot of advertising on tv. So, how is it possible for them to have such success? The author of this book explains how he was able to make this company a success as their chief marketing officer without forgoing any of their values. I am not a religious person and I think that it is awesome that they continue to be closed on Sunday for their employees to spend time with family and friends. They truly put their employees above profit, which is nice to see.
