Wow! What a crazy ride!
He Will Kill You is about physical and mental abuse at the hands of a narcissistic sociopath.
It’s crazy to think this stuff really happens and how long it will go on before someone dies or has had enough and gets out. The struggle for the abused is real.
Love the relationship between Maddie and Harry, the two detectives in the series.
This book is a must read.

Omg......... this book was amazing I flew threw the pages with Olympic speed I was hooked from the very first page. I found it full of twists and turns threw out and it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way threw  I would defiantly recommend this book if you like a good book to keep you reading threw the night hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did

A really gripping tale with intriguing characters. A tale of horrific domestic abuse, that I found hard to comprehend, how can a human treat another in such an appalling manner.
Well written and fast paced

This was another thrilling book by a very talented author. I haven't read much by Mr Gallagher but what I've read has entertained me endlessly. I will make him part of my favorite authors list. Recommended.

Good thriller where there seem to be several stories and eventually we discover the link between the stories. There's a story about bombings... then there is someone being blackmailed and finally there is also Grace who is in a very abusive relationship with Craigh. Meanwhile the story follows police officer Maddie Ives who seems to connected to all these stories.

Apparently this is the second Maddie Ives book, but it was the first one I had read and I can't say that it bothered me that there may be more stuff about Maddie that I don't know. There was a lot going on and never a dull moment.

I really struggled with the content of this book, and that is entirely my fault for not checking before I requested.
The author writes well and I felt quite immersed, sometimes too immersed.

I really loved this book in a new to me author. The characters and location really and to the story. I can't wait to read the next one. This book keeps you guessing until the end.

He Will Kill You by Charlie Gallagher is the second book in the Maddie Ives series.All Charlie's books are excellent and I love Maddie!
It is a real page turner right from the start and what an explosive start it has too!
Initially there are three different crimes that the police are investigating, involving terrorist bombings, domestic violence involving the abuse of women, and internet blackmail. The main focus of the story are the investigations involving Detective Sergeant Maddie Ives and Detective Inspector Harry Blaker, these two are great characters who work well together.
Charlie's books are always easy to read and full of action, with likeable Maddie too they are hard to beat for me.
'He Will Kill You is a stand alone novel and it is not necessary to have read the first book in order to enjoy this fully.

So great when so many characters blend together into one gripping story, that I just could not stop, reading the last 30% of the book in one sitting.

Great characters, and as expected very realistic. Oh Gosh I just wanted to tell you more, but I can't you will just have to read it...

While it was a little hard to get into initially it soon found its legs. The story is as old as time but the author made it real and told it well. Domestic violence exists and is a hard cycle to break. Thank you for telling the story. I believe someone will find themselves in reading it and hopefully gain the strength to break the cycle.

Another fantastic read from Charlie Gallagher. Not read a poor one yet and this was certainly kept me enthralled. It's dark at times, especially Grace's storyline but riveting and tense. Always look forward to the author's books!

"He Will Kill You" by Charlie Gallagher is the second novel to feature DS Maddie Ives of the Canterbury police.

Maddie is busy with CID work when DI Harry Blaker returns to work part-time after the injuries he sustained in their previous case so, at a loose end, he takes an interest in her cases.

I thoroughly enjoyed "He Will Kill You" which was a fast-paced and very tense thriller. It grabbed my attention from the get-go and never let up. The narrative was immensely gripping and really piqued my curiosity. The book was shocking to read in parts because of what was happening to Grace. Full credit to Charlie Gallagher’s writing that I found myself involved with Grace’s character whilst reading and felt some of her pain and anxiety.

I loved the author's portrayal of Maddie Ives who was a professional and caring detective with plenty of attitude and I thought, a great protagonist.

"He Will Kill You" was such an exciting read and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

There is something about Maddie Ives and I just love her!

After finally finding her place in her new headquarters, she’s really made a name for herself on the force. She’s headstrong and a real go-getter.

This time, she has a real doozie of a domestic violence case, a teenage burglar, and random car bombs exploding.

This book jumps from person to person, but it’s easy to keep up and delve further into the suspense. This is quite a thrilling story and will have you trying to piece it together at every turn.

This was an entertaining read. I found the plot interesting and the characters had good substance to them. I had guessed the ending before the end but if I'm honest it wasnt much before the end. I would read other titles by this author and would reccomend this book for others to read.

Intense. Riveting. Emotional. Suspenseful. Addictive. Dark. Complex. This story has one shocking surprise after another. This book brings it ALL! Truly a MUST for your TBR list!
