Kate Hansen is a remarkable writer, who completely understands what makes for a good story: a interesting plot, suspense building, humor, and great characters. I totally loved this book

Received a digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.

What a journey that was! A short, fast, scary read. Quite frightening in terms that this dystopian is possible.

Slowly the use of cash will disappear leaving society to deal with just virtual numbers to buy/pay for goods/services. The Low-paying, customer service jobs will be taken over by self-service machines/terminals. Eventually, the humanity as we know it will be lost. We are already headed this direction by the choices we make or the ones we ignore.

Thank you to publisher and netgalley for this book to review. This was a DNF for me. I thought Stephen King was wordy..... this book beat King in that department. It got so lengthy with discription that I found myself skimming the book which got me to 25% of the book and then I threw in the towel. It started off very interesting and then fizzled out.

Deeply disturbing, but interesting vision of reality. It makes you think what is human nature and what will we become. Fast paced, hard to put down. I don;t know why it's not more popular.
