Miles Cameron has done it again. This epic fantasy story is simply just as good as if not slightly better than “the Traitor’s Son Cycle” which I sometimes found difficult to get through as I haven't even continued on to book 2 BUT Dark Forge is the sequel I've been waiting for. It has a good pace throughout the story with characters that are interesting & you want to know what’s going to happen to them.

Miles Cameron is a master world builder, who populates his creations with lively, complex, and engaging characters. His seamlessly blends details and action, the mundane and the magical, helping you feel as though you are inhabiting a real, functioning world alongside the protagonist - who is entirely relatable, wonderfully flawed, and displays a particular lack of the self preservation instinct.

Overall a series I find myself going back to on rainy days and a rich history I'm perfectly happy to wrap my brain around.
